Chapter 12: A Small Hand Sonic looked down at Amy, tears continued to fall from his eyes, Sonic took hold of Amys hand. A nurse walked over to Amy, she put her to fingers against Amys wrist, the nurse gasped, "Doctor! she still has a pulse!" The Doctor ran over, "Your right but its very faint..." the Doctor looked at Sonic, "I'm Sorry but you will have to wait outside in the hallway..." Sonic looked at Amy and back at the Doctor, Sonic nodded, "Please help her..." The Doctor nodded, Sonic looked at Amy, he let go of her hand. Sonic walked out the room, all of his friends were standing outside the room shocked at what had happened, they seen. Sonic leaned against the wall, he slid down the wall until he reached the floor. Tails walked over to Sonic, "Sonic is she really...gone..." Sonic looked up at Tails, "she has a pulse..." everyone sighed with relief, Sonic looked down, "But...its really faint...but they're going to do everything they can..." Everyone looked down, Sonic stared at the ground, "Maybe...I should never have met Amy..." everyone looked at Sonic, "if I had never have met Amy...this would never have happened...I would never have fallen in love with her...never proposed to her...and-""but you gave a life to someone more special..." everyone looked at Shadow, Shadow crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. Shadow opened his eyes and turned to face Sonic, "If you think about it...you would have stopped a little girl from coming to this new life...that's full of amazing things..." Sonic smiled slightly, "yeah maybe..." Sonic then heard a small cry come from a room, Sonic stood up. He started walking down the hall, Tails started walking too, but Knuckles put a hand on Tails' shoulder, Tails stopped walking and watched Sonic walk off. Sonic reached the room, he still heard the baby crying, he walked over the small bed. Inside was a soft little bed, a small light, plastic around the bed so the baby didn't fall out. Sonic looked inside and seen his baby daughter crying her eyes out, "Shori..." Sonic wrapped a blanket around Shori, he lifted her out the bed and held her in his arms. "Theres no reason for you to cry...Daddy's here..." Shori slowly stopped crying, her little eyes slowly opened, Sonic couldn't help but smile, "You have your mommys eyes..." Shori yawned, Shori grabbed Sonics finger, Sonic continued to smile, "you're my little angel aren't you...I promise I won't let anything happen to you...and you, me and mommy...will go to the park...and go on trips together...because we're a family..." Sonic sat down, hugging Shori.Half an Hour went by, Sonic stood up still holding Shori, he walked out the room and down the hall to the room where Amy was. All his friends weren't there, he looked at the door, he took a deep breath and opened the door. All his friends were in there, they were talking, "Sonic..." Sonic looked at everyone, they smiled, "Amy is going to be Okay!" Sonic looked at them in disbelief, but he smiled. Sonic walked over to Amy, Amy was sleeping soundly. Tikal and Cream were dancing, Sonic looked at the others, "Maybe you guys should go home and get some rest..." everyone nodded, Sonic smiled, "Everyone...Thank you..." they all smiled and nodded, they waved good-bye and went on home.Sonic sat on the bed next to Amy, he held Shori in one of his arms, he took hold of Amys hand. The next day Sonic was walking around the room, holding Shori, Amys eyes slowly opened. Amy slowly sat up, Sonic had his back turned, Amy seen Sonic and smiled, "Sonikuu..." Sonics eyes widened, he turned and seen Amy smiling at him, Sonic smiled. "Morning Amy..." Amy nodded, "Morning...Sonikuu..." Sonic walked over with Shori in his arms, Amy seen Shori and smiled. Sonic sat on the bed next to Amy, "We're finally a Family..." Amy nodded, Sonic handed Shori over to Amy. Amy held Shori in her arms, "Shori...my little baby girl..." Amy kissed Shoris forehead, Amy started singing to Shori, Sonic joined in too. Shori yawned, Amy giggled. Knuckles, Tails, Tikal and Cream came to visit Amy in the Hospital. They handed cards to Amy, saying congratulations. Knuckles looked at Amy, "Amy, Rouge and Shadow said Sorry they couldn't make it and Congratulations..." Amy smiled, "Okay Thanks" Soon everyone left, Sonic walked over to Amy, Amy put Shori in her small bed that was next hers. Sonic sat next to Amy, "Amy..." Amy looked at Sonic, "Yes...?" Sonic smiled. " Thank you..." Amy looked at him confused, "What for..." "For everything...for giving us a family...and not giving up on me...for all those times I hurt you..." Amy looked at Sonic and smiled. "you don't have to Thank me...we both wanted a family...and we both believed in each other..." Sonic smiled and held her hand, Sonic kissed Amy on the lips lightling. A couple days later, Amy was released out of Hospital with Shori. Sonic and Amy took Shori to her home, when they arrived Amy took Shori up to her own little bedroom. "Shori this is your bedroom..." Amy walked over to Shoris small bed and placed her inside, Shori smiled at her mom. She closed her eyes and soon fell asleep, Amy walked over to the bedroom door and closed it halfway. "Sleep Well Shori"7 months later Amy and Sonic went to the park, they sat Shori on the ground, Sonic stood far away from Shori, but not too far, he clapped his hands. "Come on Shori come to Daddy..." Shori giggled, and clapped her hands. Shori looked up at Sonic, she got on her hands and knees and tried crawling but she fell down onto her stomach. Sonic laughed and walked over to Shori and picked her up, Amy giggled. 2 Years had past and Shori was now two years old, she could walk by herself but she fell over a couple of times. Amy and Shori went to visit Vanilla and Cream, Cream gave Shori a piece of cake. Shori smiled happily, Amy smiled. Shori finished her cake, Amy gasped when she seen Shori, Shori had cake all over face. "Shori how did you make such a mess..." Shori laughed, Amy cleaned Shoris face, Vanilla looked at Shori, "Shori would you like to play with Cream..." Shori looked at Vanilla, and put her thumb up while smiling, "Yes!" Cream smiled too, "Come on Shori! Lets go to the garden!" Cream took hold of Shoris hand and walked into the garden. Shori started running around the garden, Cream was picking flowers. Cheese the chao then flew towards Shori, Shori fell back in surprise. Cheese smiled at Shori, Shori looked at Cheese in amazment. Cream ran over to Shori, "Shori you met my little friend" Shori looked at Cream and back at Cheese, Cream smiled, "This is my friend Cheese..." Shori looked at Cream, "Chee...ese..." Cream clapped her hands "Yes! you said her name" Cream laughed. Shori smiled, "Cheese! Cheese!" "Shori its time to go! Daddys here!" Shori smiled, "Mommy!" Shori walked into the house, and seen her dad, Shori smiled and ran to Sonic, "Daddy!" Shori ran and hugged Sonics legs. Sonic laughed and picked up Shori, "Hey Shori! did you have a good time" Shori nodded, Amy said good bye to Vanilla, Cream and Cheese. Sonic and Amy walked out the house, Sonic held Shori, Shori looked over his shoulder and seen Cream and Cheese waving. "Cree-am...Chee..se..." 3 years had Past and Shori was now Five years old, Shori was sat in the livingroom drawing pictures, "Shori do you want to go to the Park...?" Shori looked up and smiled, "Yes Please!" Shori stood up and ran to get her shoes on, Amy waited at the front door, Shori came running to the front door, "Are you ready Shori..." Shori nodded. Amy and Shori walked out the door, they started walking to the park. Amy and Shori arrived at the park, Shori ran to the slide, she went down the slide laughing. Shori was running when suddenly she was threw into the air, Amy laughed, Shori then fell down, but was caught. "Hello stranger!" Shori looked up and seen Sonic, "Are you having fun..." Shori laughed and nodded, "That's good!" Sonic put Shori down. Shori, Sonic and Amy sat on the bench, "Hey Amy do you remember the last time we came to the park..." Amy thought for a moment, "Yeahh...I do..." Shori looked up at Sonic and Amy, "When was that..." Sonic looked at Shori, "It was before your Mommy and I told each other we loved each other..." Shori looked up at Amy, Sonic laughed, "But last time we came here...Mommy was crying...but Mommy was always a big cry baby-""Sonikkuu..." Amy was facing the ground, "Did you just call me a CRY BABY!!" Amy got her Piko Piko Hammer out, sweat dropped from Sonic face, "Uhhh..." Sonic then ran off, Amy started chasing him, Shori watched them. Amy chased Sonic trying to him with her hammer, "Amy this isn't something you should be showing Shori!" Shoris vision changed, her mom was then 12 years old and her dad was 15, she could see Amy chasing Sonic while laughing, and Sonic running away smiling. Shoris vision changed back, Shori then giggled. "Come On Amy give me a break please!" Amy jumped on Sonic laughing, Sonic fell over. Sonic and Amy laughed, they heard Shori giggle and looked at her. Sonic and Amy looked at each other, and smiled. "You know..." Amy looked at Sonic, Sonic smiled and looked at Shori, "I thought my life was all about running..." Sonic smiled and looked at Amy, "But...when I met you...I knew there was something more important in my life now..." Amy smiled and stood up, Sonic stood up and they looked at Shori. Sonic wrapped his arm around Amy, while smiling at Shori. 'Amy...Thank You...'
