Chapter 3: Mother and DaughterAmy and Shori were still walking through the city, the snow was coming down faster. Shori was shivering in the night cripy cold air, her cheeks rosey red. She held on to Amys hand with both her hands, afraid of letting go.Amy looked down at Shori, she noticed her daughter shivering. Amy stopped walking, she looked around, she had no where to stay, until a hotel caught her eye.Amy lifted Shori into her arms, holding her tight, so Shori would be warmer, thankfully it worked. Amy crossed the road, and entered the luxury hotel, she walked over to the desk. "Hello and welcome to Emerald Hotel." Amy smiled, "Hi umm could I have a room please..." The manager smiled, "Yes ofcourse..." The manager started typing on his computer, "we have one room-""She can stay with me!" Amy turned around, her eyes widened, she saw Blaze. "Blaze..." Amy walked over to her, Blaze smiled, "This way..." Amy grabbed her suitcase and walked into the elevator with Blaze, and Shori in her arms. They reached a door, Blaze opened it, Amy walked in. Amy sat her suitcase down, she looked at Blaze, "Blaze you don't have to do this..." Blaze smiled, "I want to..." Amy smiled, "Thank you..."Amy sat Shori down, she started unzipping Shoris coat, and taking off her mittens, scarf and earmuffs. Shori ran over to the sofa and sat down. Blaze turned on the T.V, Shori started watching T.V.Blaze looked at Amy, "Amy...can I talk to you..." Amy nodded. They walked into the kitchen, Amy sat at the table, Blaze sat infront of her, "What happened...why aren't you with Sonic..." Amy felt her sadness build up again, Amys bangs hid over her face. "I-I...left him..." Blaze looked at her shocked, "W-Why...?" Amys tears started forming in her eyes, "because...he was cheating on me...with Sally!..." Blaze was even more shocked, "What..." Amy hid her face, "He went out nearly everyday...and came back late at night...then today...I saw him...kissing Sally..." Blaze felt saddened for her, Amy cried harder, "and the worst part...he said he never wanted Shori!...but he wasn't there when I found out I was pregnant!...he left me all alone..." Blaze closed her eyes, while listening to Amy, Amy closed her eyes tightly, "But...when he did find out he promised he would protect me and Shori!...but was it all just a lie! even when he said he loved me!" Shori walked over to the kitchen door, she heard her mother crying her heart out, listening to her mom cry made tears appear in her eyes too. Blaze placed her hand on Amys shoulder, "Amy..." Amy looked up at her, "Sonic is the one who did wrong...you must be strong...not for yourself...but for Shori...your all she has left..." Amy smiled a small smile, she then felt small arms wrap around her waist as she wiped away her tears. Amy looked down and seen Shori, Amy lifted Shori on to her lap, Shori smiled at Amy. Shori placed her small hand on her moms long quills, stroking her quills slowly, "Please don't cry Mommy...don't cry...you have me..." Amy giggled slightly, and stroked Shoris cheek slightly, "I know..." Shori smiled and hugged Amy. Amy hugged her back, and looked at Blaze, Blaze was smiling, Amy mouthed the words, 'Thank you' to her, Blaze nodded. Blaze stood up, "well I think we should get some sleep...don't you Shori?" Shori looked at Blaze and nodded. Amy looked at Blaze and smiled, Amy stood up with Shori in her arms, Blaze walked over to a room, "You can sleep here tonight." Amy nodded, "Thank you Blaze..." Blaze smiled. Amy took hold of her suitcase, and brought out Shori pijamas. She changed Shori, Amy went into the bath room, she looked in the mirror. She then seen an illusion of Sonic behind her, Amys eyes widened, she splashed her face with water. Amys hand turned to a fist, "I need to be strong for Shori..." Amy smiled, she got changed into her pijamas, and went back to the room. She lay on the bed next to Shori, Shori faced her mom, with sad eyes. Amy looked at her worried, "Shori...whats wrong..." Shori faced the other way, "Mommy...you...won't leave me..." Shori looked at Amy, "...will you..." Amy looked at her shocked, "Shori..." Amy brought Shori into her arms, "I will never leave you...but if I did...just know that wherever you go...I will be in your heart...and my friends and I will always be looking for you..." Shori looked at her shocked, "Really...?" Amy closed her eyes, "Yeah..." Shori smiled, "Promise...?" Amy looked down at Shori and seen her pinkie finger out, Amy smiled and wrapped her pinkie finger around Shoris, "I Promise." Shori smiled, she closed her eyes and fell asleep, happy, knowing she would always have her mother beside her. Amy closed her eyes, "We will always be together...no matter what..."
