Chapter 9: EncounterAmy felt uneasy in her sleep, she opened her eyes, Sonics head was still laying on her chest. Amy gradually stood up, she rubbed her eyes and looked over at Shoris side of the bed. Her eyes widened in shock, Amy grabbed Sonics arms and shook him slightly, tears flowing from her eyes, "S-Sonic! Sonic!" Sonics eyes opened, her heard Amy shouting his name he sat up and looked at Amy, "Amy! Whats wrong!?" Amy looked at Sonic, "S-Shori...she isn't there!" Sonics eyes widened in shock as he seen an empty space in the bed.Sonic quickly stood up, "Shori! Shori! Where are you!?" he ran into each room, he ran back into the room, he walked over to Amy. Amy looked up at him, tears falling faster as he gave shook his head, as a sign she was no where in the flat. Amy hid her face, crying harder, Sonic stared at Amy as he held back his tears. "Amy..." he pulled Amy in his arms, Amy cried into his chest, "S-She...she is gone!...I fell asleep...and left her on her own!...It my fault!!" Sonic stroked Amys quills, slowly, gradually calming her down. Sonic looked into her eyes, "Amy...the best thing we can do is go out and look for her." Amy looked up at him, "Ok?" Amy didn't answer, Sonic shook Amy slightly, "Ok!?"Amy grabbed Sonics hands, "I will do anything to get my little girl back!..." Sonic smiled slightly, "Right lets go!" Amy nodded, her and Sonic ran out the door.Amy and Sonic were outside the hotel, Amy looked at Sonic, "Sonic! we should split up and search for her! that way we will get to her quicker." Sonic nodded, "Ok!" Amy ran off, Sonic ran the other direction.- - -Shori was sleep walking, she reached the centre of the city, she faced down. In the distance on the roof of a building, the was a shadow of a hedgehog, he started smiling, "Welcome...Shori the Hedgehog." He looked down at all the people in the city, "Lets make this interesting...shall we...Shori." Shoris eyes started glowing, demon monsters appeared everywhere, around Shori. She smiled an evil smile, "Yes Master Mephiles!" Mephiles started laughing, he looked at the monsters, "Go! destroy all these worthless people! Including the Mother and Father of our little guest!" - - -Amy stopped running and looked around, she heard people screaming, and running around, Amy turned around and seen demon monsters with claws and horns running around, attacking everyone. "W-What are they!?" Right at the back, she seen her little innocent daughter, Shori. Amy looked more closely, "Shori...?" Amy then realised it was her, "Shori!" Amy ran over to Shori, "Shori!!" Amy placed her hands on Shoris shoulders, she shook her slightly. "Shori...Shori! can you hear me! Shori!" Amy lifed Shoris head to look at her eyes, she noticed her eyes were glowing demon green. Amy gasped slightly, "W-What...happened to you?" Amy heard a huge bang behind her, she looked over her shoulder, she noticed one of the demon monsters behind her. It started growling at her, Amy growled back, "Stay back!" The monster was going to bite her, Amy turned around, her fist up high, she gasped as two more of the monsters appeared. Amy gasped, she fell to her knees and held Shori close. Mephiles seen Amy surrounded, "There is no escape! Amy the Hedgehog!" Amys eyes widened, "T-that Voice!" she turned her head, she seen him, stood on the roof, rage boiled in Amys blood, she started growling. The monsters claws appeared high above her, its claw came flying down towards them, Amy noticed this and covered Shori, she gritted her teeting pain. Claw marks appeared on her back, blood dripped down her back. She got hit in the head, Amy fell to the ground, unconcious. The monsters ran off, killing anyone in sight, Mephiles started laughing, "Now...all we need is Sonic."- - -Sonic was running around the city, he seen people screaming, "What's going on!?""SONIC!!!" Sonic looked up, he seen Tails and Cream in the X-Tornado. Tails looked at Sonic worried, "Sonic something is wrong in the middle of the city! people are running around screaming!" Sonic nodded, "Ok!""Sonic!" Sonic turned around, he seen Blaze and Silver, Sonic looked at them, "Whats going on!?" Blaze looked at Sonic worried, "Sonic...there is demons everywhere...possibly rose from the darkness of the planet...by Shori!" Sonics eyes widened, "Shori!" Sonic ran off, Blaze and Silver, followed, as did Tails and Cream.Sonic jumped on to the rooftop of he looked down, his eyes widened in shock, and horror. Blaze looked down too, she gasped, as she seen Amy and Shori laying on the ground, Amy covered in her own blood. Blaze jumped off the building and ran over to them, "Oh my gosh! Amy!!" Sonic followed, Sonic lifed Amy to his lap, he shook her slightly, "Amy...Amy! Come on wake up! You cant leave me like this!" Blaze looked at Shori, her eyes were closed. Amy started coughing, Sonic smiled slightly, "Amy! your ok!?" Amy sat up, she lifted Shori, and looked at her. Shori was breathing, but just barely, Amy handed Shori over to Blaze, "Blaze! You have to get her out of here! Shoris in danger!" Sonic looked at Amy, "What are you talking about Amy-!?" "Sonic! I'm glad you could make it! The fun is just about to begin!" Sonic looked up, Sonic gritted his teeth in anger. "Mephiles!" Mephile smiled, "Hello Sonic the Hedgehog." Amy looked down at Shori, worried. Amys tears appeared in her eyes, "Please Shori...you can fight this...I know you can...your stronger than that...and I know that because you're my daughter..." Amy held Shori close, "So...Please...open your eyes..." Shoris eyes fluttered open, her evil demon eyes were gone. She looked up, "Mommy..." Amys eyes widened, she looked down at Shori, "Shori!...your ok..." Shori smiled slightly, and nodded. Amy smiled, she kissed Shori on the forehead, "Thank Goodness." Mephiles pointed at Amy, "Amy Rose the Hedgehog!" Amy looked at Mephiles, "You know its useless trying to talk your daughter out of what she really is!" Amy gritted her teeth in anger and sadness, she sat Shori down. "Those powers will come out eventually and once they do...it will be the end of this planet! and...You!!" Amy closed her eyes tight, she stood up and ran over to him.She jumped up, she got out her hammer, Mephiles smiled, Amy swung her hammer down towards him, he dodged it. He disappeared in the flash of a light, Amy looked around her, Mephiles appeared behind her, Amy gasped. Amy screamed in pain as Mephiles shot dark magic at her scratched back. Amy fell to the ground, rolling around screaming. Mephiles jumped on her, he grabbed her by the throat, Sonics anger was boiling up inside, he started growling. Mephiles noticed this and smiled, "Yes...Yes! Sonics dark power will react with Shoris...this is just great-""I don't think so!"Mephiles looked up to be kicked in the face, Amy was lifted into the air, she landed in her feet. She looked to herside, she seen her bat friend, Rouge. Amy smiled, "Rouge...Thank you." Rouge smiled, and placed her hands on her hips, "hey! I won't let you hurt my friends or innocent children!!" Mephiles stood up and smiled, "oh really who is going to stop me!?" Rouge smiled, "maybe an old friend...and his friends!" Mephiles then seen a streak of black appeare beside Rouge, Mephiles laughed slightly, "Ahh Shadow...its nice to see you..." Shadow crossed his arms, "not just me." Sonic stood up and walked over to Amy, Amy looked at Shadow confused, "Hey Guys!!!" Amy smiled at who she saw, she seen Knuckles and Tikal land infront of them. Knuckles looked at them, "You weren't going to have all the fun were you!?" Sonic smiled, "No not really!" Amy heard a plane up in the sky, she smiled, "Tails...Cream..." They all looked at Mephiles, Sonic smiled, "Mephiles you can't win! if you don't have friends like mine! You will never win!" Mephiles started laughing, "Oh really!...I think you have forgotten but...Shori belongs to me!" Sonic growled, "I won't let you take away my daughter!" Mephiles walked over to Sonic, "But you didn't want her...that's why she came to me...in her slumber..." Amys eyes widened in shock, "that night...you ruined your family...once Shori had fallen asleep...she wished for someone who would accept her...that's when I came..."
