Chapter 24: New World

"Why you all must leave so quickly?" Shirahoshi looked at the Straw Hat pirates with tears, confused.

"At least let us hold the banquet for you all before you leave!" She cried and begged. Nami smiled nervously to her begging, wondering how to explain the situation to the naive princess.

Before she did, Zoro already spoke out their thought loudly. He frowned at Shirahoshi and explained to her.

"If we stayed, they would treat us like heroes or something. Just the thought of it makes me shudder." The annoyance and despite of the idea being called hero reflected clearly on Zoro's face and in his voice.

"Becoming a hero is not a good thing?" She asked confusingly, tilted her head. She didn't understand why he despite the title of hero so much. Usually wouldn't people be so happy being called hero?

Zoro sighed in annoyance and frowned deeply. "Let me tell you something. A hero is someone who will share his own sake with other people. But I want to drink it all by myself!" He yelled and put his hand on his chest, explained proudly.

"Again, that's not how you define a hero!" Nami growled, face palmed. She felt like this would be something Luffy would say, but now even Zoro?

"Why you have to refuse? Jinbei?!"

The two turned their head to the voice and saw their captain was hanging on the fishman, pouting and shaking his arm.

"Let's go to have adventure! Come on! Let's sail to the sea, it will fun!" Luffy won't give up so easily, tried his best to convince Jinbei.

"Yeah, become our crew, boss!" Usopp grinned and agreed passionately.

"It will be a great relief with a former Seven Warlord of the ocean!" Chopper cheered with his eyes closed.

Jinbei frowned and sighed tiredly, sat on the ground of Sunny with his legs crossed. "That's why I say not now." He sighed.

He lowered his gaze and hands placed on his knees. "It is my honor to be invited by you. No doubt it will amazing to sail with you guys. But I still have some business to deal with first."

He raised his head up and looked at Luffy seriously. "I have my position right now. I'm just temporarily excuse myself from there. When I fulfill my responsibility and pay back all my debt, become free again. I will go to find you guys."

"If your mind still the same by the time, then please invite me to become one of you guys again."

"Then you must come to find us!" Luffy said loudly, obviously not completely believe Jinbei's words.

"Hey, he even mentions responsibility and debt already. Don't give him any more pressure." Sanji who sat on the stairs said.

"it seems like everyone like you a lot." Robin smiled with closed eyes, said.

Every Straw Hat pirates looked at him with expectation and hope, Jinbei felt his eyes were heated by their trust.

"You are the man Luffy appreciates so much. We will all wait for you, Jinbei!" Franky grinned. Jinbei closed his eyes and nodded in gratitude.

"Then what are we going to do now? Go straight to the New World?" Zoro asked Nami who stood next to him, curious about their next step.

Shirahoshi heard their plan and widened her eyes in sadness, tears slowly welled up again. "You all leaving the island so soon? I still want to thank you all properly, and have a nice chat with you guys." She cried.

"Alright! Let's stay in the Mermaid café for a week together¬¬!" Sanji who immediately spoke out his idea, eyes sparkling with heart.

"You are the one who want to do so! But I agree as well!" Usopp who heard Sanji's word and punched his head hard, growled and suddenly grinned happily. Who won't want to stay in this paradise for a bit longer?
