Nami got her conscious back when she felt her lungs were burning, liquid kept entering her mouth. She coughed out the salty water and felt the cool water around her, noticed she was in the middle of the sea.

She regained her calm immediately and let herself floated on the surface of the ocean. She looked around and had no idea what was going on. She remembered she touched the red Poneglyph and felt her soul was pulling out from her body, then a bright light embraced her and then....

A loud and rough yelling not far away from her drew her attention. She turned and saw a big ship approaching her. She swam aside and preventing being crushed by it. Next, a rope was thrown into the ocean and some yelling came from the deck.

"Hey girl! Grab it now!" Nami blinked to the words and slowly reached her hand to the rope. Once she grabbed it, she was being pulled upward carefully. Nami gulped difficultly when she saw a bunch of men on the deck, looking at her either curiously or precariously.

With her instinct as a pirate and the atmosphere of the crews, she knew she was on a pirate ship instantly. This acknowledge made the young lady smiled bitterly. Either she would be treated horribly or treated not too bad, but neither of them she wanted.

"What are you guys doing here?! Go and prepare for the coming battle!" A loud and stern voice rang from the upper part of the deck. Nami watched everyone's attitude suddenly became serious and polite when that voice spoke, curious.

"Vice-captain, we find a girl in the ocean!" A man yelled and even saluted. Nami wondered whether he was a marine before and kept this strange habit in pirate's society.

"What? Hey, hey, this is not like picking up a kitty something. We are going to war and now you guys give me this?" The voice sounded frustrated and helpless to his crews' action.

Nami gulped when the owner of that voice approached to her, she must left a good image to this vice-captain in order to be respected on this ship, and especially she had no idea to the situation yet.

"Wow, you guys really get a girl from the ocean!" The vice-captain whistled to Nami, seemed really surprised to see a girl being rescued in the middle of the sea. Nami frowned a bit to his attitude but then she noticed something. She narrowed her eyes and studied the vice-captain in front her.

That face...she had seen it before...?

The man smiled to her curious staring and allowed her silently, he frowned to the crews around them and clapped his hands. "What are you guys waiting for? Shiki will come anytime! We must prepared well!" He yelled.

With his command, everyone went back to their jobs and prepared for the coming battle. Nami raised a brow to the name of Shiki, she got a bad feeling about it.

"Excuse me, may I know where are we and who are you?" Nami asked politely to the vice-captain. Even the Shiki's name being mentioned, it wasn't enough for her to figure out all the information she needed.

"This should be my question, right Miss?" The man smiled and crossed his arms, asked her back with an amused face. Nami tut-tutted mentally but still remained a polite smile on her face.

She could feel this man was way more powerful than her, they were in a totally different levels. She was no match to him at all. She couldn't use force to get her information now, so her manner and her weak outlook would be her only cards in this game.

"My name, name is Mina. I have no memory why I am here or how do I get here at all." Nami forced a teary smile, tried to get the man's sympathy. However, the latter just laughed to her words and didn't say anything. His unexpected reaction made the girl frowned slightly.
