Training- Chapter 3

It's about 3 days later, Leslie and Carl are sleeping in a tent together. Lori comes to check up on them, and she sees that they are still sleeping. Lori exits the tent and goes back to the camp. Carl wakes up, sits up, and stretches. He looks over at Leslie and smiles and whispers "How is she still sleeping?" Carl thinks. He then says "Oh...we have to train today, on knives, I guess I should wake her up..." Carl starts to shake Leslie. Leslie groans and says "noooo..." Carl says "Leslie...wake up please..." Leslie opens her eyes and stretches "Carl...I don't wanna wake up..." Carl says "But Leslie, we have to start training to fight the walkers" Leslie perks her head up right away and says "Today we have to start? Well come on! Let's go!" Carl giggles and grabs her hand and leads her out of the tent. Lori and Shane went out to find some supplies. Carl looks around and says "I think my mom isn't here. And they still haven't found my dad." Leslie says "Yeah, they will find him sooner or later." A guy named Glenn walks up to them and crouches in front of them. "Hey guys." Leslie hides behind Carl. Carl smiles and says "Hi, I'm Carl, and thats Leslie." Glenn chuckles "I can see that Leslie is very shy." Carl says "Yeah, she is, she is very shy, she gets like this when she meets new people." Leslie waves. Glenn says "I heard you guys were best friends, is that right?" Carl says proudly "Yes! We are best friends! I protect her! She protects me!" Glenn smiles "You protect each other, that's good to hear, I saw that your mother left earlier, she said you guys were supposed to learn how to kill with knives? Am I correct?" Leslie nods her head. Carl agrees. Glenn says "Would you like me to teach you?" Carl gets excited and says "Yeah! Can you?! I wanna learn!" Leslie says "I-I wanna learn...I can protect Carl if I learn..." Glenn says "That's right, you can learn to kill walkers, and protect each other, every walker that is killed is one step closer to ending this whole apocalypse." Leslie and Carl follow Glenn, Glenn hands them knives, they aren't too big, just the right size. Glenn says "Now, since you guys are small, about 4 feet tall, a trick that I learned so that smaller people can kill walkers is, you kick their knee, they fall down, and you stab them right in the head! It works really well!" Leslie says "C-can I try it on you? I won't stab you...just kick you in the knee making you fall..." Glenn looks at Leslie and smiles "sure you can." Glenn acts like a walker. Leslie kicks his knee making him fall down and pretends to stab him. Glenn pretends to die, so he falls on the floor acting like he is dead. Leslie laughs. "The walker is dead! I feel less scared now!" Glenn gets up and smiles "It's alright to be scared, because you can overcome it, you can be stronger, braver even. You overcomed it right now." Leslie smiles and says "Yeah, I overcame my fear!" Carl smiles and pats Leslie's head. "Yay! You aren't so scared anymore!" Leslie smiles blushing a little. Glenn says "Now remember that trick for when the real enemies come." Leslie and Carl nod their heads.

An hour later, Lori comes back and goes to the tent to check if Leslie and Carl are there. They are. Pretending that they are both zombies killing each other. Lori laughs a little. Leslie and Carl face Lori and smiles. Carl says "Yay! Your back!" Lori says "Yeah, I'm back, did you guys miss me while I was gone?" Carl and Leslie both yell out "YES!" Lori says "Did you learn how to use knives today?" Carl and Leslie show Lori their knives filled with blood. Lori says "Woah, where did that blood come from?" Leslie says "We killed some walkers! Some came into camp and me and Carl killed them!" Lori smiles "You protected the camp?" Leslie and Carl nod their heads "We did! No one got hurt! Besides the walkers!" Lori smiles "Yeah, it's best to keep it that way." Carl and Leslie smile holding each other's hands. Lori says "Awwwww, you guys are just so cute..." Suddenly a car pulls up. Glenn comes out with someone. Lori goes to see who came back. Carl follows her holding Leslie's hand. Rick looks around and sees Lori and Carl. Carl lets go of Leslie's hand and runs to Rick. Rick crouches down and hugs Carl tight. Lori is shocked, not surprised, she is happy he is safe and that he came back but she has a secret. Rick walks up to Lori and hugs her, Lori hugs him back and looks at Shane while doing so. Rick stops hugging her and sees Leslie. Leslie walks towards him and says "Hi, Mr. Grimes..." Rick smiles and says "Leslie, I haven't seen you in awhile" Leslie smiles and says "Yeah, your always working." Carl holds Leslie's hand. Rick smiles and says "You Guys look like a young couple when you hold hands." Leslie giggles. Carl giggles as well. He says "Glad that your back dad!"

This ain't so interesting, I'm going to see if I can make the next one interesting and I think I give up on writing for the day, I wrote 3 full chapters! Anyways, sorry for any grammar mistakes, bye my loveliesss!!!
