Apocalyptic Love

The Kiss- Chapter 16

Enid and Carl have been hanging out for awhile, an hour or two each day, Enid always begged for him to stay longer but he always said he has to spend time with both girls. Enid stayed in her room, on her bed, with the door locked. She was very concentrated in her thoughts, thinking about something, then she grabs a notepad and starts writing down the ideas, she crosses out the ones she doesn't like, and she just keeps thinking of ideas. She finally decides on one. Then she mentally prepares for it to happen in her room. Basically like role playing, or acting it out. 

Carl is in his shared room with Leslie. Leslie sitting on the bed reading, while Carl asks curiously "What you reading?" Leslie says "A book." Carl says "No duh! I know that!" Leslie laughs. Carl says "What's the title?" Leslie says "Apocalyptic Love." Carl says "Oooooh, sounds interesting." Leslie nods her head and says "It's about the apocalypse. About Walkers, but in this story they are called Zombies. Weird name, I'll stick to walkers." Carl says "Yeah me too. Also, I never understood why you loved reading so much." Leslie puts her book down and says "I love reading so much because when I read the words, I can imagine whatever is happening in the story, and my imagination is a pretty wild place, it's pretty fun, all the things I imagine." Carl says "My imagination is cool too, especially when you are in it." Carl smirks and Leslie blushes. Leslie says "Horror, Mystery, and Romance books are my main genres, if they aren't one of those well then, I ain't reading it, unless it's super interesting then I may give it a chance." Carl snatches the book and closes it. Carl smirks at Leslie and says "Want it back?" Leslie nods her head yes really fast and says "Hell yeah I want my book back! Give it here, Grimes!" She reaches out for the book, making Carl move back, laying down on the bed. Leslie keeps reaching out for the book, then realizes she is on top of Carl and knows what his plan was. Carl laughs and Leslie blushes red. Carl says "Come on, get the book." Leslie says "I think I won't." Leslie lays her head on Carl's chest. Carl says "That's a pretty comfortable spot to be in." Leslie nods her head and props her head up. Carl wraps his arms around her and smiles. Leslie gets close to Carl's face and kisses him. Carl smiles and kisses her back, rolling them over so then he is on top of her. 

Carl then leaves to go and hang out with Enid for the day. Beth and Sophie went out of the community to go and relax, like usual girls do. Carl and Enid hang out deep in the woods todsy where people can barely see them. Enid says "So, I am still wondering why Hiro left the fire so early? It literally wasn't even 8 o clock yet." Carl says "I think I know why." Enid turns to face Carl and asks what we all know she will ask. "Why?" Carl says "He left exactly when I put my arm over Leslie and hugged her. I think he was jealous." Enid says "He probably was. Maybe he likes Leslie or something." Carl says "Maybe, But I am not letting him have her. I have waited so long for me and her to get together, I have waited years, patiently, I am not giving her up so easily, no money, no food, no water, nothing can make me trade her." Enid says "Glad your still loyal." Carl says "Yeah, I stay being loyal." 

Later, Carl and Enid get up to go back to the community when some walkers come by. So they obviously run off. They can't find a decent spot to hide in until they see a tree hole that is magically the same size as them, where they can fit into. They both go in and stay there, they are pretty close. Enid looks at Carl, and Carl is focused on the walkers passing by. Enid slowly moves her hand towards Carl's and holds it. Carl doesn't pay much mind to it because he has held her hand before, she might be scared so he let it slide. Carl looks at Enid and says "You okay?" Enid nods her head, staring into Carl's eye. Enid leans in and kisses him. (Keep that in mind people.) Carl pulls away quickly and covers his mouth. Enid says "Don't act like you have never kissed a girl before." Carl says "I'm not, it's just that you kissed me! I only accept kisses from Leslie! Not other girls!" Carl leaves the tree worried that Leslie might find out and break up with him, but he will just tell her that she kissed him, because that's what happened. Beth and Sophie passed by and noticed that Enid had kisses Carl, so they ran back to the community to tell Leslie. 

Leslie was in her room, reading like she always does. Beth says "Leslie!! I have no idea what I just witnessed!!" Sophie says "That was so crazy!" Leslie closes her book fast and Sophie says "Enid kissed Carl!!! She has a crush on your man!!!" Leslie widens her eyes and says "WHAT?!" Beth says "Yeah! She kissed him! He didn't like it, but she kissed him!!" Carl arrives back in the room, and he notices Leslie's look on her face, he takes it as a sign that she already knows what happened. Carl says "L-Leslie?" Leslie says "She kissed you, didn't she?" Carl says "Y-yeah, Enid kissed me, b-but I didn't kiss her back! I swear I didn't!" Leslie says "It's fine, as long as you didn't kiss her back, But I am going to have a fight with that girl." Carl says "A fight?" Leslie nods her head and says "Tomorrow, so get ready."
