Apocalyptic Love

4th of July- Chapter 39

This was supposed to be posted tomorrow but I don't know if I will be posting tomorrow. I may be celebrating tomorrow cause it's the 4th of July and I'll be binging Stranger Things so I am uploading as much as I can today. Also because if I don't do my good ideas today I struggle too just like you guys cause I just want you guys to see my ideas. I want you guys to just enjoy my stories. I also know that sometimes my pictures don't show how the characters always look currently but it's because I can't find perfect pictures for the chapters now, google just doesn't have that many.)) 

It was the 4th of July. A huge time skip. Carl went scavenging and found marshmellows, chocolate, and crackers, they can make s'mores. He also found fireworks. What a lucky find, and even sparklers. They were going to have fun tonight. He kept it in his bag and decided to set traps so walkers wouldn't ruin their perfect night, just in case. He set a whole bunch of traps. bear traps, barbed wire, huge wooden sticks that can pierce through them. 

Enid was talking with the girls, they have actually got to figure out that she isn't such a bad person. She was just really jealous and Negan said she would get Carl if she worked with him. They became fast friends with her. They all were still sad about Leslie. Enid left the group of girls and got a fresh new bandage. She went up to Carl and Carl noticed the bandage and knew what time it meant. He took off his bandage and Enid put the new one on him and fixed it so it was comfortable for him. 

The guys helped set up the traps and made sure they were all set up correctly. Carl says "Back when we were still younger, a guy named Glenn taught us how to properly use knives and set up traps like this one." Kelvin says "For real?" Carl nods his head and says "Leslie always knew how to set these traps. When I would struggle, she would always help me..." Blake sighs and says "I bet you really miss her." Carl nods his head and says "I've been trying to forget her..." Kelvin walks up to Carl and puts his hand on Carl's shoulder and says "Lemme give you advice. Never forget about her, she was a keeper. You guys were truly meant to be together, so you will be thrown back together. It's called Fate. It's your Destiny to be with her." Blake joins in and says "Kelvin is right. Don't forget about her. She loves you, I bet she still does. I bet she is still thinking of you, and she wants to come back so badly. Keep the memories you have of her. Don't forget those. Those keep you remembering her. The more you remember her, the more likely the chance will grow of seeing her again." Carl smiles and says "You guys are right...but me and Enid are dating now..." Blake leans against a tree and says "Yeah, but she keeps you happy. If you truly do love Leslie, you will keep her in your memory. You will get with her when you guys see each other again." Kelvin butts in and says "Yeah, you do love Enid, but do you love her like you love Leslie? Ask yourself that, and keep that in your mind." Carl says "I do love Enid like I love Leslie!" Blake fixes one of the traps and says "We know. Just think about it. If Leslie was here right now, would you stay with her or go with Leslie?" Carl keeps silent and says "You guys are right, I'll keep that in mind." 

When it was time, all the teens were sitting around the fire. Tuba says "Alright, not to make everyone sad but just to make sure you guys all remember. Say the thing you loved about Leslie the most. I loved how she always was there when you needed some advice." Lia says "I loved how she was always there for kids. She always enjoyed playing with them. Plus, she was the bestest friend you could ever have. It's such a loss for her to be gone." Hiro then says "I loved how she always made time for her friends." Eliza says "I loved how she adored animals and her friends. She always had time to play and to just be with us." Drew says "I loved how she accepts you for you. You can be gay, lesbian, Bi, etc, and she just loves you for who you are." Sophia says "I love how she was always there with open arms, she always accepted you into her circle of friendship." Queen says "I loved her personality, she is such a sweetheart to everyone and those around her." Alyssa says "I love how she was always tough on us, she loved us all very much and always showed us tough love." Kelvin says "I loved how she was always true to herself." Marie says "I loved how she always used to visit me, and she always had the most interesting stories to tell. She would always make time for us, even if she had a million things going on." Blake says "I loved how she cared for all of us." Enid says "I loved how she would accept you no matter how bad your past was, your history with her, anything like that. She always believed in second chances." Then it was Carl's turn. Carl says "Honestly...I loved everything about her..." All the teens says "Awwwww..." Carl says "All her imperfections, she was just the best person to have in your life..." Enid holds Carl's hand to try and make him happier. Carl smiles at Enid. Enid smiles back. 

Later that night. Carl started lighting up the fireworks. They were all so beautiful. Carl had kissed Enid while the fireworks were still going on. The teens were setting off sparklers, laughing and having the time of her life. Everyone was so happy that all of their problems faded away. For that night, everyone forgot that Leslie was even gone. 

But not everyone because Asher knew that Leslie was gone and wasn't going to be coming back for a while. Judith kept thinking what Carl had told her. Pearl would cry because she just wanted Leslie badly.
