Apocalyptic Love

Bodies- Chapter 10

Carl and Leslie are outside playing football together. T-dog is watching, Maggie and Glenn are killing off any walkers by the fence. Carol is inside with Hershel, helping any sick people with the disease get better. Giving them oxygen and medications. Some people didn't make it so Carol did an understandable thing, but also bad. She burned the dead people's bodies and people who were close to death, she somehow burned them. They still could have had a chance at living, but she burned their bodies. Without anyone noticing too. Not even Carl noticed, and he notices everything. Their new visitors, Sasha, Tyreese, and Mark were still locked up, Rick had talked to them and soon they were going to be able to help out around the prison. So that's good. Carl and Leslie decide to take a break from playing football, they have been playing for the past couple of days now. T-dog is now helping Maggie and Glenn with the walkers. Carl and Leslie go inside of the prison to check up on Judith. She is sleeping, she fell asleep with the bottle in her little chubby hands, Carl takes the bottle and leaves it on the table. Leslie, who is watching Judith says "Aww...she is so cute sleeping." Carl says "Yeah." Leslie says "I wish I could have kids of my own, but I don't think the apocalypse will let me..." Carl says "I am sure you can still have kids, you just need to be in an extremely safe community. I will make sure we get to one, I need you to be safe." Leslie smiles "Yeah, we need to get to a safe community, hopefully one day we can leave this dump of a place, It's safe but I don't want to stay here forever." Carl says "Facts have been stated." Glenn and Maggie finish with the walkers and go inside the prison. Glenn looks over at the kids and smiles and ruffles Leslie's hair and gives Carl a fist bump. Carl smiles and does the explosion thing boys usually do after a fist bump. Leslie giggles like always, cause I do the same thing. Glenn says "I can see you guys got tired after playing so much football." Leslie says "Yeah, I prefer basketball." Glenn says "Basketball? You like playing that?" Leslie nods her head really fast. She says "I just love playing the sport, it's really fun." Glenn says "Nice to hear that the apocalypse hasn't drove you guys insane, you guys still know some fun things to do." Carl nods his head. 

Later, everyone sits outside, they decided to have a fire outside and just relax, enjoy the scenery near the prison, the trees are a good spot to hide in and the grass looks pretty cool. Hershel says "Beth? Would you like to sing for us?" Beth nods her head no and says "I don't really want to sing right now, I'll get embarrassed." Leslie says "I will sing with you!" Carl says "She is pretty good at singing, she will sing if another person sings with her." Leslie nods her head. Maggie says "Come on Beth, you sing really well. Imagine both of your voices combined, Very angelic." Beth agrees after some time, she pulls Leslie to the side and they both decide on a song to sing. They decide to sing A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. They start singing, and Beth during the song looks at Carl with a smirk on her face. Carl blushes because he knows that this is one of Leslie's favorite songs, and she probably agreed with Leslie because maybe Leslie has a crush on him. When they finish the song about 4 minutes later, Leslie is blushing. Everyone claps. Carl smiles at Leslie and grabs her arm, stands up, and leads her by the side of the prison. Where no one can really see them, Leslie blushes because her crush just pulled her away from the group. Carl says smirking "So...Just wondering, why did you choose to sing A Thousand Years?" Leslie shrugs. Carl says "It is one of your favorite songs, but why choose that one? Something on your mind?" Leslie nods her head no pretty fast. Carl gets closer where their faces are about 3-5 inches apart and says "Are you sure nothing is on your mind? A secret or something? We tell each other everything, Leslie." Leslie pushes Carl away still blushing and says "Nothing is on my mind" Carl laughs and says "Alright then, but if there is, don't hesitate to talk to me about it, I am always here to protect you and listen to whatever you have to say." Leslie nods her head and says "Yeah, I know, you tell me all the time." Carl shrugs smiling and says "Just a reminder in case you forgot." Leslie and Carl went back to the group and enjoyed the rest of their day, holding hands like always.
