Tears of An Angel- Chapter 25

(I chose a random title because if you guys remember from a long ago chapter, what I will be writing in this chapter was mentioned in a chapter I made a long time ago. So it will be sad so I just chose to use the title tears of an angel. There will be some tears, some crying. You have been warned.)

It was the next day, the day after spin the bottle. Carl woke up stretching and groaning, he did not want to wake up. He immediately remembered what he wrote in his journal a long time ago. He checked the calendar and today was the day, the big secret reveal. He didn't even prepare for what he was going to say to Leslie. It was 11 o clock, Leslie wasn't in bed, which meant she went to the hospital to visit Marie. He had went to eat breakfast immediately and wrote in his journal, like he does every day. He started to prepare himself for what time he was going to tell her, how he was going to tell her, trying to imagine and plan out any reactions she may have and how he would react to them and what would he say to comfort her. He had gotten it all down, it was all planned out in his head, he just decides to go with whatever happens, he can't see the future so he won't know what will happen. He sat on the bed and said to himself "Today is the big day...I never prepared for this to happen, why did mom tell me I had to do it...? I don't wanna tell her...but she has to know..."

Leslie didn't come home until 5, she was celebrating the fact that Marie was almost returning back home, she would no longer be in the hospital. Carl decided he was going to tell her at 8, when everyone should be out of their way, in their rooms, or busy doing any other things they may have to do. Leslie had arrived at Negan's house and went over to her room. Everyone else was busy. Hiro was in his room, mourning his brother's death probably because his birthday would be soon. Nah, just kidding, he must be chilling with the guys, Kelvin and Blake. Enid was most likely in her room, reading, thinking of some way to have Carl to herself, or doing something else. Eliza was probably on a shopping spree or singing. Lia was probably playing with Kaori or still with Marie. Tuba was maybe shopping at Hot Topic for some all black clothes cause that is just her style. Leslie had sat on her bed and then laid down bored thinking of what she could do.

AT 8.

Now, time for the tea.

Carl went over to Leslie and said "Hey, Les, let's go out of the community." Leslie looks up at Carl and immediately questions him saying "Why?" Carl just holds his hand out in front of her and says "I have something to talk to you about in private, away from all these people and out of the community." Leslie takes his hand standing up and Carl walks off leaving the building holding her hand tight intertwined with his. They arrive away from the community, far away enough and then he stopped walking and turned to face her. Leslie looked at Carl confused and tilted her head to the right a little like confused animals do. Carl sighs and says "My mom told me to tell you this when we were 13...and they talked about it when we were 9...they told me to keep it a secret from you because you couldn't handle the truth..." Leslie says still with her head tilted "Is it something about how the apocalypse all started...? Is it about you being with another girl that your parents always wanted you to be with? Tell me...I'll understand anything you have to tell me.." Carl looks down making his hat tip down a little. He then picks his head up and looks at Leslie and says with pleading eyes that you can definitely not say no to. Carl says "Promise you won't get mad at me...You can get sad...But don't get mad because I wanted to tell you but they told me to keep it a secret and I didn't want to see you sad..." Leslie nods her head and says "Just tell me..." Carl says "We haven't found your parents.........because my dad and Shane had found them dead....." Leslie covers her mouth. Carl says "Dead....someone had shot them...my dad had tried to find the killer, but he still doesn't know who could have done it.....and Shane died so he can't help look..." Leslie starts tearing up and Carl walks over to her to embrace her into a hug and she pushes him away. "I wasn't expecting for you to say that!!! I wanted them to be alive!! For all these years I had thought they were alive!!! They weren't!!! They were dead!!! You couldn't tell me the secret?!?!?! You are supposed to be my novio!! (Boyfriend)" Carl says "I know, I'm supposed to be your boyfriend...I am supposed to protect you and tell you everything..." Leslie keeps getting angry and says "But you decided to keep this a secret from me!!! You piece of shit!!! You couldn't just tell me the truth!?!?!" Carl got shocked and said "Hey, hey, hey...calm down..." Leslie yells out crying "I CAN'T STAY CALM!!!! MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!!!! THEY ARE DEAD FOREVER!!!! GONE FOREVER!!!" Carl puts a hand over her mouth and says "Walkers! Ssshhh!" Leslie pushes his hand off of her mouth and says "I don't care if walkers came and killed me right now." She runs off and Carl yells out "LESLIE!!!" He starts running after her. Carl is worried she may run into the direction of the walkers.

All that space I skipped is basically 3 hours of searching for Leslie. She ran off in the woods, she stayed by the trees, she went by the tree where Enid kissed Carl. She passed by a beautiful river that is near the community and spent some time there to cool off and cry. Letting all her tears out, letting all her tears leave her eyes.

Carl then finds Leslie sitting down on the floor staring down at the earth. He sits beside her and says "Are you calm now?" Leslie rubs her reddish looking eyes and says "I can't stay calm when I have figured out my parents are gone...and I couldn't say goodbye...I have so many memories of them..." Carl says "I have memories of my mom too, and you need to keep those memories alive, keep them stuck in your brain, those memories help you in times of sadness and loneliness, times when you need help and to calm down, they help the most..." Leslie wipes her teary eyes. Leslie says "I know...I was taking the time to remember all of those times and those happy moments together..." Carl smiles a little looking at her. Leslie smiles "But those memories are saved for other times, I have so many I can't just spill them all out to you right here and right now." Carl smiles and takes off his hat. Leslie looks at Carl. Carl puts his hat on Leslie, he usually doesn't do that unless he trusts you, or if you need something that shows your safe, or as a memory if you will forget him or to always remember him...as if he will die. The hat is too big on Leslie so it covers her eyes and Carl fixes it for her. Leslie starts messing with Carl's hair making it messy. Carl laughs and says "Hey! Hey! Hey! I take forever to keep this hair nice and neat, it takes forever to keep it clean and curly as it is now!" Leslie laughs and says "I'm sure it does! That's why I was messing it up!" Carl kisses Leslie with so much passion, hoping it's the one thing she needs the most to calm down, which it was, because she was calm for the rest of the night.
