Wives- Chapter 48

Carl and Enid were working once again. Carl says "I think I'm gonna go back to dating Leslie." Enid drops what she is holding and says "Wait, what?!" Carl says "Yeah...sorry, I didn't want to tell you over dinner yesterday. I've been thinking about it ever since I saw her again." Enid is in complete shock. All she can say is "What?". Carl says "Let's talk later, we can't talk now, we will get in trouble." 

Later at 8:30. Enid and Carl are alone. Enid says "So, let's talk. Why?" Carl says scratching the back of his head "Well...I just saw her again! That is my Ex, we broke up, but it still didn't mean that I didn't love her!" Enid sighs and says "Carl, it's just that...we did so much stuff together and we were so happy. You love me, I love you! I always have..." Carl sighs and says "I loved you too, but I just see Leslie, I meet her again. Then it all started happening..." Enid got a little mad and just left the room. Carl watched her leave and sighed. Leslie witnessed her leaving and continued on her way to where she was going. Marie, Sophia, Beth, and Lia were following her. All in the same black dresses. Carl witnessed them all in the same clothing, holding their meals, and following Leslie. Carl wanted to follow but then he found himself being dragged back to the other teens by Gareth. He sat down on his bed and sighed. "I really wanna know what's up with Leslie..." He ran a hand through his hair. He was obviously stressed and puzzled by why Leslie wouldn't eat with them, why was she in that black dress and black heels, why she had to watch them all the time instead of working, and why would she never talk to them about the topic. He wanted answers now. 

At night. The girls don't even sleep in the same room as the rest of the teens. Carl is awake staring at the ceiling. All you can hear is Negan yelling. Probably at his men. He is yelling things out like "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST DO SHIT RIGHT?!" "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DISOBEY?! I PROVIDE SHELTER, FOOD, WATER, ALL THAT STUFF FOR YOU GUYS!" "YOU GUYS DON'T APPRECIATE THE MOTHERFUCKING SHIT I GIVE YOU?!" Then you can hear a loud slap. Negan closes the door to prevent any attention. Then he says "Now you are going to pay." Carl gets up, sneakily. Not to cause any attention towards him. There is a creak in Negan's door and he can see the girls without their tops, shirts basically and Negan is just staring at them. Carl hides not wanting to be seen and he just gets disgusted. Is this what Leslie would have to do? Carl peeks again and Negan is touching Leslie's face. Caressing her cheek, he does the same with the other girls. Beth spits in Negan's face and Negan doesn't like that. He wipes the spit from his face and grabs a cricket paddle, I think is what it's called and flips Beth around and hits her butt with it. Beth covers her mouth to hide the scream. The girls watch, they can't do anything or Negan would kill them. Negan looks at the girls and says "Now see this? You girls shouldn't disobey or I will hit you guys much harder with this. Or maybe even use Lucille." Carl just witnessed that whole thing and now he knows what the girls have to do. They give Negan a show basically. This was just part of it. He probably leaves them in their bra and underwear and does worse things. Negan pinches Beth's butt a little and Beth yelps. Leslie says "Please...stop, don't hurt her..." Negan looks over at Leslie and says "Who is the boss here?" Leslie says "Y-you sir..." Negan pulls Leslie's face up by her chin and says "That's right, me. ME! Not you." He pulls her face closer and Leslie slaps Negan. The girls gasp. Marie says "You seriously need to stop doing this to us. It's disgusting." Lia is just covering herself. Sophia says "Just stop. This isn't right..." Negan grabs the paddle again and says "Every single one of you better turn around." Carl then leaves and tells all the other teens. 

The next day at 9. Leslie finally came with her sniper. She looked exhausted but still had to work. The rest of the girls had to work in Negan's house cleaning up. Carl kept looking at Leslie. 

At 1, all the girls were out looking at the teens work. Blake noticed Marie and knew what had happened yesterday. Hiro looked at Lia and sighed. Carl just kept staring at Leslie. Finally Leslie looked at Carl with drowsy eyes. Carl walked over to her and hugged her tight. Leslie says "Carl...Get to work..." Carl plops his head on her shoulder and says "I just need a hug from you...I missed you so much..." Leslie looked around and hugged him back. Carl then whispers "I saw what you guys do. Stop doing it. It's not safe, it's not healthy, it's just disgusting and perverted." Leslie gasps shockingly. How could he know. Carl says "Please stop...for me..." Leslie sighs and says "I'm sorry, Carl...But I can't..." Carl lets go of her and shakes his head and gets back to work. Leslie watches him leave and runs over to him. She grabs him by his shoulder. Carl turns around and is met by Leslie's lips on his. He kisses her back, dang he hasn't done this in awhile. Leslie puts her arms around Carl's neck pulling him closer. She finally stops after 3 minutes and goes back to the girls. Carl smiles and laughs a little. How he missed Leslie's kisses.
