"I'm kinda surprised you are going through with this, I'm not going to lie."Jimin said as he helped me put up the decorations.
"Why?" I asked him.
"When is the last time you talked to Kookie?"
I swallowed thickly. "Tuesday when he showed me his transcripts."
"Namjoon said it was because you didn't agree to the label?"
"I just...it wasn't exactly that but yeah more or less."
"What is going on Noona? Do you not like him?"
I stopped what I was doing and turned to look at Jimin. "Jimin...I do like him. I like him a lot..."
"Then why?"
"Do we have to talk about this? Namjoon went to pick them up from Kookies house and is going to take them right over to the school. I want to be there but we need to finish setting up first."
"Alright." He said as he continued to put everything up.
It only took us another hour to finish with the decorations. Once we were done Jackson and Mark were there and set up the basement as they did for Kookie's birthday. I ran upstairs and wrapped all the presents, being sure to wrap the one I got Kookie last. I started to tear up before I heard another knock on the door.
"Come in." I called.
"Hey Noona."
"Hey Jin."
"Are you okay?" He asked as he leaned against the wall across from me.
"I'm fine, why?"
"You have been very quiet over the last few days and I haven't seen Kookie around much. Did something happen between you two?"
"You're an intelligent man with a law degree...what do you think?"
He nodded. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"No. I don't."
The truth was. I wanted to talk about it. I wanted to talk about it with Jungkook. I wanted to explain to him my reasoning. I wanted to show him my surprise. I also did not really care for what his reasoning was to why he quit talking to Malee or why he didn't like Jaebum. I realized making it a bigger issue than it really was, was a huge mistake, and now I felt even more idiotic that a man 6 years my junior was acting more mature than I had.
"Well are you going to the ceremony?"
"Of course. Are we leaving?"
"Jimin went with Yoongi and Hoseok is going to meet us there. When you're ready we can go."
"I just need to change."
"How long do you need?"
"30 minutes okay?"
"Perfect. It takes about 20 minutes to get there and it starts in an hour. We will be right on time." he smiled. "I'll wait for you down stairs.
I rummaged through my closet and found a royal blue dress that came down to my knees. I ran a straightener through my hair and put on a little make up to make my eyes pop. I put on my glasses instead of contacts, and made my way down stairs.
"Only 15 minutes...I'm impressed."
"Ready?"
He gave me his arm and walked me out to the car. If there was ONE family member that I had a special bond with it was Seokjin. He was the only one who stayed in contact with me despite what his parents wanted. He had his limits, but he never made me feel like I was worthless like my own mother did.
