I just finished my second year of college and I decided I needed a break. But instead of further pissing off my parents since I'm taking a break from school, I told them I would find a summer job that would benefit me in the long run. I ended up finding a summer job that would take place in South Korea. When I was thinking of traveling I found an ad online for a company seeking an English speaker with organizational skills. I figured I would try to apply little to my knowledge that I would actually get the job. South Korea is one of the places I wanted to visit, it is home to plenty of great culture and the home of k-pop. I'm about to have an awesome summer.

My parents dropped me off at the airport and I could see that my mother was worried. "Mom, I'll only be gone for three months. You won't have to worry,"

My mother hugged me. "I know, honey. But you don't know a lot about this company. They didn't exactly give you a lot of information. What if it's just a scam to kidnap you?"

"I highly doubt it. They're paying for everything to get me there and for me to stay. If it were a scam I think they would have me pay for everything. But don't worry, if I sense any danger or doubt I will be on the next flight home."

My mother let go and gave me a smile. I looked at my father and hugged him telling him goodbye. I entered the airport and we waved at each other until they were out of sight. The company that hired me paid for me to fly business class which was very generous for me considering I always fly economy. As soon as I boarded the plane I took out a paper of my itinerary that my new boss sent to me. It looked like she would actually be picking me up from the airport. That's nice of her. She also stated in the email that the company I will be working for really values their privacy and the group they manage. Group, huh? Maybe this group they're referring to is a k-pop group. Wouldn't that be something. But it would also make sense why they would need to be cautious online. After putting my itinerary back in my bag I fell asleep for the whole flight.

I got out of the plane, gathered my luggage and proceeded to look for my boss. At the pickup area I saw a woman holding a sign with my name on it. I approached her, "Hello, I'm y/n."

She smiled and hugged me. "Oh, y/n! So nice to meet you! I am Oh Nam Sung, but you can call me Unnie or Amy. Welcome to South Korea! Here, I'll help you with your luggage and we can get going."

We headed to her car with a driver and after putting my luggage in the trunk we immediately left the airport. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to rush you but we are just going to drop your stuff at the apartment you'll be staying at and we'll head to the company. The scheduling got moved up a little bit so we have to rush to building."

"No worries. Now that I am here in person, would you mind telling me what company this is?"

"So I am a manager to a group and you will be assisting me to make sure I stay on task and to go over any mistakes with the scheduling I might have looked over. The reason we needed an English speaker is because these boys are going to America soon and we want to go over the American dynamic to make sure they are comfortable. And since I am around them a lot, you will be too. But since you don't speak that much korean you will not be a distraction to them. You are around their age and you know how boys can be sometimes. So it's best that you don't interact with them as much."

"Understood, Unnie. The job I signed up for is to help you, not get into any funny business and I would hate to break that trust with you."

"Awesome! You'll fit in great here. Oh, we're at your apartment. Let's drop your things off and then head over to the building."

After dropping my things off, we headed to the building. On the way over, Amy was explaining the different parts of the city and places I can visit on my days off. I wasn't really paying attention though. The thought Amy manages boys who were my age kind of made me nervous. If these boys were actually part of a k-pop group like I thought, it would make me even more nervous. But I wasn't even looking for any type of love. Amy is right, I can't be a distraction nor be distracted.

"Well, we're here." Amy said as she got out of the car.

I looked out of the window and my mouth immediately dropped.

Not only am I working at BigHit Entertainment but I would be working with my all time favorite group, BTS.
