Barriers - Taehyung || Complete

Ch. 40

Everything is coming into place. 

I called my job and told them the truth, that I appreciate the opportunity but I found another opportunity that I couldn't pass up. Surprisingly they were very understanding and wished me good luck on my future. 

I wanted to figure out everything by the end of the week before Taehyung goes back on tour. I want him to know that I am doing my part by making sure our future together is set. I don't want there to be any doubt with us anymore. 

I've been asking what kind of job Amy was able to get me in Korea but she hasn't told me, saying it's going to be a surprise. But she assured me that it will be worth the hospitality degree I got. The company was also gracious enough to get me a new apartment. When they found out about the sasaeng fans that blackmailed Taehyung, they were able to find me a new apartment with security. 

I'm very grateful towards the company. Even after I left suddenly, they still gave me a great recommendation when I was looking for a job and now they're doing the same. They really ensure the safety of their staff as well as their celebrities.

On the day that I talked to my parents with Taehyung, I also called Bang PD later that day to figure everything out and to thank him for everything. He told me that everything will be okay and he is supporting Taehyung and assured to me that he is not leaving the group no matter how bad it may get. And for this past week, it has been a mix of bad and good. 

The news about me and Taehyung pushed more buttons in Korea. When the video of him surfaced online he was receiving death threats about me and they were trying to force him out of the group. Since then Taehyung has stayed off a social media for a bit until he figures out what he's going to say but he has given the company permission to release an official statement about our relationship. They just stated that we had met through work and our friendship turned into a relationship. They then made it clear that no matter what is put against him, the group, or the company, Taehyung will not leave the group and the company gives us their full support.

"I miss you," I told Taehyung through facetime. 

"I miss you too." Taehyung said. I could tell that even though he's used to the malicious comments, this one was hitting him a little more. "I wish they would stop saying these things about you. It's one thing they say things about me, but I can't stand them saying these things about you."

"I'll be okay. Like Amy said, it'll pass eventually. We are the big news right now and eventually something else will take over. The only thing that matters is me and you."

"I can't wait until you're back in my arms. It's too bad you're not able to come to the airport to see us off. Right now we're taking all the necessary precautions to make sure we're safe and you."

"Right," I nodded. "And that is why Lisa will be coming with me when I move my things over to Korea. She's so thankful that the company paid for her plane ticket to help me out. She's also really excited to be visiting for the first time."

Taehyung chuckled. "I could tell when she was asking questions about Korea so fast on the translator that it couldn't translate it properly."

I giggled thinking about when that happened. "She'll be with me for a month while you're still on tour. By the time she leaves there will only be a couple weeks left until you come back."

He softly smiled at me and breathed out. "I'll be counting the days. But I will perform with my all, because I know you'll be watching."

"And because you need to show us ARMY how much we're all loved. I think they need some of that right now."

"They're always loved." he then winked at me. "I just love you a lot more."

I smiled and shyly looked down. When I looked back up I noticed Namjoon in the background.

"Hi, Namjoon." I said calling his name to get his attention.

"Oh," he smiled and walked up to Taehyung. "Hi, y/n! Saying bye to your boyfriend?"

I chuckled and nodded. "Yes. Since I can't say bye in real life this is the next best thing. The first class lounge looks amazing by the way." 

"Isn't it?" Namjoon took the phone from Taehyung and started to show me what the rest of the lounge looks like. I saw the rest of the guys hanging out before they started boarding. Namjoon was so excited to show me the lounge he didn't notice Taehyung chasing him from behind to get his phone back.

I couldn't help but laugh. Taehyung was acting like a little kid who got his toy taken away, but he was acting so adorable trying to get his phone back. When he finally did he huffed out and gave Namjoon a playful glare before sitting back down. 

"I think this may be my cue to leave." he said. 

I chuckled. "I think so too." We stared at each other for a few seconds. "Taehyung, saranghae." That has been our new thing lately, when we 'I love you' we say it in each other's respective languages. 

The right corner of his lips formed into a smile. "I love you, y/n."

We waved at each other before I pushed the end button and his face disappeared. I was already missing him. 

We have a year of not being with each other to make up for and it's going to be prolonged since he's on tour and I won't see him soon. 

But I will be patiently waiting for him, and loving him every step of the way.
