Over the next few weeks everyone has been busy preparing for the tour. The guys have been rehearsing non-stop with very little breaks in between. Just watching them I know it's taking a toll on them. One day I asked Namjoon if he and the others are doing okay, and he insists that they are. He tells me that they're all doing what they love and being tired is worth it at the end of the day. I admired his perseverance and I felt like as one of their managers, I wanted to do something special for them to help kick off the tour.
When I arrived this morning, I walked in the office and my eyes widened when I saw Amy casually holding a small waste basket in one hand, and writing her notes with the other. I rushed inside. "Unnie? Are you okay?"
She looked at me and softly smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine. I wasn't feeling too good this morning so I'm just preparing myself in case I throw up again."
"A-again?" I stuttered. "If you think you're going to throw up again do you think you should take a day off and rest?"
She shook her head. "I'll be okay. I just need some ginger ale to help soothe my stomach. Would you mind getting me some? I would, but I need to finish these last things real quick."
"Sure thing." I put my bag down next to hers and pulled out some money from my purse and then I headed to the food court. I walked over the the mini mart and bought a bottle of ginger ale for Amy, and a coffee for myself. The cashier rung me up and I thanked her, taking both drinks in my hand and walking out. When I headed towards the elevator I ran into Namjoon who was also going up. I slightly bowed my head and smiled at him. "Good morning, oppa."
He smiled and pat my head. "Good morning." he looked down at my hand to see I was carrying a bottle of ginger ale. He pointed at it and asked. "Are you not feeling well? Does your stomach hurt?"
"Oh, no it's not for me. It's for Amy, her stomach isn't feeling too well."
"Ah," he said in realization. "That's usually how she is before a big concert. She's doing so much work for us that she's not getting enough rest. But it's weird though. I thought with you around and all of the rest she has been getting she wouldn't feel like this again."
"Hmm, should I be insistent on her going home then?"
He slightly chuckled. "Trust me, you don't want to do that. When she wants to be here she will hold her ground, no one can convince her otherwise."
I smiled. "She must really love her job then."
"She loves us, that's a fact." Namjoon smiled. "We're a family." There was a ring to the elevator and the door opened. Namjoon stepped out and looked back at me. "I'll see you both later." I couldn't wave at him so I just smiled while he waved waiting for the door to close.
When I got to my floor I walked back into the office and gave Amy her ginger ale.
"Thank you, Y/n. I really appreciate this." she said taking the bottle and drinking it.
"Anytime. I saw Namjoon on my way up here."
"Oh?" she raised her eyebrows. "And how is Joonie doing?"
"He's good..looks well rested." I trailed off looking at her. She looked at me in curiosity and I continued. "He told me not to but I have to ask. Are you sure you don't want to take another day off to rest?"
She gently slammed her bottle on the table and looked at me. "I'm fine! I don't need another day to rest. I want to be here to make sure the plans for the concert go smoothly. Can you deal with that?" she rolled her eyes at me and took another sip of her drink.
Amy has never yelled or has been stern with me before, it took me by surprise. I didn't say anything to her, I didn't know what to say. I just looked down and then I heard a sigh escape her mouth. "I'm sorry, Y/n. I don't know where that came from." her voice back to normal. "Don't worry about me, okay? I'll be fine."
