"Did you bring your light stick?" Lisa asked.
I held it up. "Of course I did."
We were driving on the way to the venue, Lisa being very excited that she's sitting front row.
"I'm so excited! It's my first concert and your second one."
"Actually," I paused. "I would consider this my first."
"What?" she looked over at me. "I thought you went to one last year when you got to go backstage."
"I did, but I wasn't there for the whole thing. I only stayed about half way and then I left."
"What?!" she asked in shock. "How could you leave a BTS concert?"
Even though she found out that I worked for BTS last year, I never told her about my relationship with Taehyung. It's one thing that I tried to put behind me despite my failed efforts. If she found out, she would go crazy.
"Just...some things happened that I couldn't stay for the whole thing."
"You know, now that I think about it, you and Amy were saying something about a bad memory being backstage. Are you ever going to tell me about it?"
"Maybe, but not today. So please stop asking me about it." I tightened my grip on the wheel and stared out into the road.
She noticed and slightly pouted, turning her attention back to the road.
The rest of the ride to the venue was filled with conversation that didn't have to do with BTS, and I was relieved about that. I understand today is the concert and we should both be excited, but thinking about what happened last time I went to their concert was making me feel uneasy. I just admitted to Amy that I still love Taehyung and seeing him up close probably won't be as easy as I think it will be.
We arrived at the venue and we were one of the first people there. Those who got front row tickets got to enter at a different location and we were provided with food.
"Wow, I guess if you pay for front row tickets you really get your money's worth." I said looking around.
"Well we got ours for free." Lisa said.
"Shh!" I put a finger to my mouth. "You don't want anyone asking questions how we got these for free. So don't go saying that around."
Lisa nodded. "Got it."
We wandered around the area grabbing a variety of food and occasionally talking to other excited fans.
"You think he'll notice me?" a fan asked holding a sign up with a picture of Jungkook.
I smiled. "Maybe. If you cheer really loud for him he'll probably show his cute bunny teeth."
"You're right! I would be so lucky if he smiled at me."
"If you think you'll be lucky if Jungkook smiles at you, I would die if Taehyung smiled at me." another fan said. "He is so hot! His facial expressions when he dances are so sexy!" she fanned herself jokingly and the rest of the girls laughed.
I laughed along but on the inside, I felt like my heart just dropped. It's normal for the guys to have many fan girls but I never heard someone gush about Taehyung before. If we didn't have a relationship then it would be fine. But considering we did, and that I still love him, it was a little weird to hear. If we were still dating this would have been something I had to deal with.
"Come on, y/n, the concert is going to start soon!" Lisa pulled me taking me away from my thoughts.
They were finally letting the fans take their seats and we made our way towards the front. I was amazed at how big the stadium is. I was in the same venue last year but backstage so I didn't get to see what it would be like in this point of view. And it was breathtaking. I was starting to have no doubts that the guys would see me.
