The week of the concert is here and I feel like I'm having major deja vu, only opposite. I waited at the airport for Amy, who promised me that I wouldn't see any of the guys coming off the airplane when I went to go pick her up. She's getting off the plane first and the guys will be escorted through private security so they can have a peaceful landing at the airport.
I waited at baggage claim and held up a sign with her name to play along from when we first met each other. Ever since I met her she has become a huge part of my life and I would never change that. So I thought by doing this we could take a little trip down memory lane.
I watched everyone come out with their bags as I stood around holding the sign up, waiting for Amy to come out. A few minutes, she came out with her carry-on's and started to frantically look around. She whipped her head around a few times until she spotted a sign with her name and when she slightly looked up and saw me, she shrieked and walked fast to me.
When we reached each other she dropped her bags and I dropped my sign, and we embraced each other in a long hug.
"Oh, my goodness, it is so good to see you!" Amy exclaimed.
"I can't believe you're finally here!" I replied.
We talked for a few minutes in the middle of the airport before gathering the rest of her suitcases and headed out to the passenger pickup area. We walked over to my car and I put her luggage in the trunk. We then headed out and I drove back to my apartment so we could hang out before she has to get dropped off at her hotel. I tried to convince her to stay here but she had to be close to the guys in case they need her. I understood, but I just missed her so much.
When we arrived at my apartment, she sat down on the couch, which she was familiar with since that would be where I was video chat with her the most. I went to the kitchen and grabbed us some wine glasses along with a bottle of red wine.
"So how was your flight?" I asked from the kitchen.
"Quite comfortable, actually." Amy said. "One of the perks of working for a huge group like BTS, their manager gets to ride business class."
I lightly chuckled. "Yeah, those were fun. And how are Jongin and baby Somin?"
Her face lit up. "They're doing great. Your goddaughter is super adorable and my fiance is as goofy as ever."
"Oh!" I suddenly burst and quickly walked back to the living room. I excitedly sat on the couch. "Speaking of fiance...let me the ring!"
Amy put her left hand out, showing the engagement ring that Jongin got for her. It was a silver band with a small circular diamond in the middle, and two smaller diamonds on each side of it.
I gasped. "Amy, it's beautiful! I'm so happy for you."
She sweetly smiled. "Thank you. I hope you can come back to Korea for the wedding."
I smiled and looked down. "I don't know, but I can try."
I poured the wine in the glass and handed her a cup and we started catching up on everything that has happened this year that we haven't talked about in our video chats.
"Bang PD still asks about you." Amy said.
"He does?" I asked and smiled. "How is he?"
"As CEO, he's doing really well. He has been merging with other companies and he's in the process of getting other groups ready to debut."
"Oh, like TXT? Oh my gosh, those guys are so adorable."
"Yeah, the guys finally have label mates and these kids really look up to them. And I get along with their manager as well so it's been great."
