Mark came home already past four in the morning. He came into the living room with the lights still on but no one was there. He looked into the kitchen and still no one. Suddenly, he heard fast footsteps from the balcony which made him ran upstairs. At the end of the hallway, he saw bathroom lights were open and heard Donghyuck.

The alpha immediately ran and checked on the beta. He saw him vomiting on the toilet and it suddenly made Mark nervous. He squatted down beside Donghyuck and rubbed his back.

"Hey, are you okay?" Mark asked.

Donghyuck was still vomiting and he looked real bad. The beta was already crying and thought that this is what Taeyong told him. Morning sickness sucks if you're pregnant.

"Should I bring you to the hospital?"

The beta stood up and flushed the toilet before cleaned his mouth on the sink. The alpha followed him and continued to rub his back.

"Beta, talk to me."

Donghyuck cleared his throat, "I-It's nothing to worry about."

"How should I not?"

The beta turned his head and looked at the alpha that even though has his eyebrows furrowed, he looked really worried.

This is new.

"It's just morning sickness."

Mark was relieved, atleast he wasn't sick or something. Suddenly, Donghyuck pushed himself away from the sink and started to walk but he was wobbling. Mark immediately helped the beta.

"What are you feeling? You look really sick, stupid," Mark said.

Donghyuck clicked his tongue, "It's nothing! I'm just feeling a bit dizzy."

Mark suddenly carried Donghyuck in his arms and the beta squirmed but the alpha didn't budge. The alpha sends the beta in the room and laid him on the bed. No words, Mark just gets out of the room. Donghyuck sighed.

Soon, Mark returned with water and his phone against his ear. He gave the water to Donghyuck.

"Hello? Jaehyun?"

"What?"

"The beta's feeling dizzy."

"It's normal--"

"How is it?!"

"He's pregnant, isn't he? It's just an effect. If you're still worried, then ask him if he needs anything."

Mark frowned, "Fine, thanks. But I'm not worried."

"Great save, Mark."

Donghyuck couldn't believe this was still the Mark he hated. Mark puts the phone back into his pocket and sat beside Donghyuck.

"Do you need anything?" Mark asked.

Donghyuck wanted to smile at him since he looks really worried, but decided not to. He doesn't want to go soft on him.

"I want you to make me something for breakfast. I'm hungry."

Mark frowned, "I can't cook."

"Make me something, anything. Now, shoo."

The alpha clicked his tongue before walking out of the room to cook breakfast. He stepped into the kitchen and tried to remember why he even needed pans. Anyway, he opened his refrigerator which he thought he needs to go to grocery store sooner or later. He grabbed some eggs and other leftover meat, since it's the only food inside of his refrigerator.

There was no doubt, Mark just burned the eggs and instead of throwing them and just let Donghyuck eat watermelon and the leftovers, he thought about to just serve it to him. Anything, he said. He even used scissors to cut pieces of watermelon and put them into a bowl.

"Why are you using scissors?!"

Mark almost dropped the bowl because of Donghyuck's loud voice. He frowned and put the bowl onto the table.

"There's a knife, dummy. You're stressing me out," the beta said with an annoyed face before he took a seat.

Mark rolled his eyes and sat down as well, "A thank you would be nice."

"You weren't here when I needed you. I didn't got to eat dinner because of you. So, what would I be thanking for?"

"That's my fault now?" Mark scoffed.

Donghyuck clocked his tongue before he eats, "Shouldn't you really be beside me?"

"I needed to go out!"

The beta stab the meat, "You need to be outside for 10 hours?! You should've given some of your time to me, right? I'm carrying your child and you should care!"

"God, you're driving me crazy! I was busy, alright? I'm not your mate to even care! You shouldn't be here in the first place because I didn't want this!"

Donghyuck stayed quiet with his eyebrows furrowed and kept eating. He didn't mind the burnt eggs the alpha made. He ate them without any problems and grabbed a piece of watermelon from the bowl. Mark just watched the beta until his heart dropped to see him crying.

"H-Hey--"

"I'm fine! Don't mind me, okay?" Donghyuck stood up and left the kitchen.

Mark sighed and just watched the beta ran away.

Donghyuck cried in his bedroom. He doesn't know why, he just usually fight back but he was really upset that Mark doesn't care. Should he really expect him to care though? The pregnancy was a mistake so maybe he really shouldn't.

The beta grabbed his phone and contacted someone from the village. It rang a bit before the other line accepted the call. He moved to seat down on the windowsill.

"H-Hello, hyung?"

"Uncle Hyuckie?"

Donghyuck cleared his throat, "Oh, Blue...Is your mother there?"

"Yep!"

"Could you give the phone to him, baby?"

"Okie!"

Donghyuck waited for Blue to give the phone to Taeyong.

"Donghyuck? What's wrong?"

"C-Can I just go back there? I-I can handle myself without this alpha."

"But it has been just a night."

"I shouldn't really force myself to him..."

"Remember when you're really anxious just being here? I thought it would be a good idea if I put you close to Mark."

"To be honest, hyung...I felt safe when I know he's here. It felt really comfortable, and I hate myself...I hate him, hyung. I never felt safe whenever I'm near him."

Taeyong chuckled, "It's a pregnancy thing, Hyuck. Nothing to be mad about."

"W-What do you mean?"

"It's the same thing when I was pregnant. That's why Jaehyun stayed home and brings me with him whenever he needs to go for a meeting, remember? It's like craving for a person's presence instead of food or anything."

"Then I hate myself for craving a man like him."

It's not eavesdropping if Mark wanted to check if Donghyuck's fine but accidentally heard his conversation with Taeyong on the phone...Or is it?
