Even though there were a lot of rooms in the beach house, the pair decided to use one bedroom for them to share. Mark slept on the same bed as Donghyuck. Arms wrapped around the beta's waist with his back against the alpha's chest. They were comfortable and it was the best sleep.

As soon as they woke up and had their breakfast together, they decided to take a swim but the problem was Mark. He can't just go under the sun which made the beta think about going swimming later at night, Mark agreed to it anyway. Right now, they're just seating by the couch and watching TV with Mark lying down on Donghyuck's lap.

Without the others, they'll maybe just stay in the house until it gets dark and have a night swim instead.

"You want anything?" Mark asked as the show finally ended and thought about making a snack before they take a bath.

Donghyuck pouted, "Nothing, really."

The alpha stood up and goes into the spacious kitchen. The beta stayed at the living room and continued watching the commercials until the alpha came back with a bowl of watermelon pieces. Mark sat close beside Donghyuck and held the bowl.

"You're just gonna eat watermelon for the rest of your life, huh?" Donghyuck asked as he get a piece and put it into his mouth.

"Why not?"

Donghyuck chuckled, "I remembered you giving me watermelon even if I didn't ask for it."

"You really don't have anything to crave on except for me, am I right?" Mark mocked, "Also, I want my child loving watermelon the way I do."

"Watermelon or me?"

Mark furrowed his eyebrows, trying to ask himself why Donghyuck would even ask him a question like that. The alpha hummed while he think and eat the fruit at the same time, letting the beta think that he asked the hardest question to the alpha--which is true.

"If I can eat you, then it has to be you, love."

Donghyuck nodded, agreeing to what Mark said, "It should be me."

Mark leaned in to kiss Donghyuck's cheek, "Only you."

When the sun started to set, Donghyuck immediately got into his shorts and shirt. He pushed Mark into their bedroom to change while he goes first. He wanted to swim so badly early in the morning but he doesn't have anyone to accompany him.

The beta goes out of the house and ran down the fine sand. The waves reached his feet and it felt colder than he expected. Forgetting the chilly temperature, Donghyuck walked into the water until it reached his knees. The cold water felt good against his skin. The waves kept coming while he watched the sunset infront of him.

Suddenly, he squealed as he was carried like a bride and was thrown into the water. Donghyuck immediately goes above water and sat on the sand, since the water is shallow. He furrowed his eyebrows at Mark, who was shirtless and has only his shorts on.

"You're getting sentimental again," Mark uttered.

"No, I'm not."

Mark just rolled his eyes and walked pass him. Donghyuck followed him with his eyes

"Where are you going?"

The alpha dived and swam further into the deeper part of the water. The beta suddenly felt anxious and nervous for the alpha.

"Don't go too far!" Donghyuck shouted.

Mark swam back to him and combed his hair back with his hand, "Come on."

"I-I'd rather not--Mark! Mark, put me down!"

Mark grabbed the under thighs of the beta by his hands with the beta's arms wrapped around his neck and carried him to the deeper part of the water. Donghyuck wrapped his legs around Mark's waist while Mark walled further from the shallow part of the water.

It scared Donghyuck, he's always scared of going to the deep parts of the water. He always had that phobia since he was a kid.

"Don't go too far anymore..." Donghyuck softly said. It was obvious that he was afraid.

Mark stopped until the water already reached his chest. Donghyuck was hugging Mark tightly, afraid to even let go for a second. Though Mark was so sure that Donghyuck could still reach the ground, the beta was still scared. He just held the beta close and try not to make him panic.

The sky already darkened and the stars were starting to show up. Donghyuck was too occupied because of his fear to even look up and see how beautiful the sky is right now. Mark admired the scenery and couldn't help but kiss the crook of the beta's neck. He rubbed the beta's back to soothe him.

"Shit, get me back there," Donghyuck said, he was definitely panicking in the inside. He was already thinking too much about drowning.

"I got you."

"I'll definitely beat you up when we get back there."

Mark chuckled, "Then we won't."

"I was just joking! Shit, please get me back there!"

"Isn't quite nice to be here?"

"It isn't!"

Mark laughed, "Just try going down. I'm sure you can touch the ground--"

"Don't let go! Don't let go, please," Donghyuck sniffled as he buried his face on Mark's neck, crying on it.

Mark got flustered which made him ran back to the shallow part and laid Donghyuck down on the sand. Donghyuck was still crying even though he knew Mark got him back to where he felt comfortable in. Between his legs, the alpha sat down and removed the hands that were covering the beta's face. The alpha replaced them with his as he cupped the beta's jaw and kissed him on the lips.

"I'm really sorry," Mark uttered, "I thought it'll look romantic just like in the movies."

"That was very dumb of you."

Mark pecked his lips, "I'm sorry, baby."

Donghyuck glared at him, wiping his tears, "I still won't forgive you just because you called me baby."

"What can I do for you, just to forgive me?"

They stayed quiet for a while, looking at each other's eyes. Mark thought that Donghyuck was thinking but he was surprised by a pair of lips against his. The alpha smiled against the kiss, maybe he guessed it right.

A/N: sometimes i just think about what just happened in my chapters and concludes that the story was too fast or it was too early to have smut
