Their habit of fighting for over small things just became worse when Donghyuck started living with Mark. Both of them felt like an eternity every day. Never in a day had they never fought for something small. Even if Donghyuck feels happy to see Mark in the house, Mark kept breaking his mood which causes Donghyuck to fight back and gets stressed.

Mark has been leaving Donghyuck in the house in the morning and comes home very late when Donghyuck's asleep. The beta didn't feel different when he was at the village, he still feels anxious since Mark's always away.

It's been days like this and Donghyuck felt a sharp pain around his lower stomach since the other day.

"Hey, aren't you going to atleast drive me to the doctor?" Donghyuck asked while he's eating watermelon.

Mark fixed his black leather jacket and looked annoyed at Donghyuck, "I'm running late for the meeting."

"Yeah, always. Why did I even bother asking?"

The alpha didn't reply and just leave the beta inside the big house.

Donghyuck sighed before he carefully stood up from the couch and walk up the stairs to change his outfit. He wore a loose shirt and sweatpants before goes out of the house.

Mark never failed to upset him.

Donghyuck was just about to go when a familiar car pulled up beside the sidewalk. The man inside stepped out and Donghyuck flashed a smile at him.

"Hyung, what are doing here?"

The beta couldn't believe himself that he was wishing that Mark asked Johnny to drive Donghyuck to the doctor.

Johnny raised an eyebrow at the beta, "Taeyong told me that it's your first monthly check-up. So, I'm here to drive you to the doctor."

Donghyuck nodded. Johnny opened the door for him and drove away to the hospital. Why does he keep hoping for nothing? It just makes him even more upset than before. He's sorry for the child for having a selfish father.

As soon as they arrived, Johnny even walked him to the ob-gyne and kept him company. Donghyuck was thankful that the alpha decided to be with him, unlike Mark.

He just wished for a man like Jaehyun or Johnny. Their very caring, and got overboard now that Donghyuck's pregnant. They're more worried and always tell Donghyuck some cautions. Taeyong and Ten are very lucky to have them.

The doctor did some tests with Donghyuck like an ob-gyne would do. It's the beta's first check-up and Taeyong holds a calendar for him so that he wouldn't forget. After that, the doctor consulted both men.

"You must be the mate?" the doctor asked Johnny.

The alpha shook his head politely, "I'm his friend. The father...is busy."

Of course.

The doctor nodded, "Good, you're here on his behalf. So, about your pregnancy...what happened to you these days? Are you somehow getting worked up?"

"What? Why? I have been feeling contractions around the lower tummy lately."

"I would recommend you these medicines," the doctor gave him a paper with the names of medicines.

"W-Why are giving me these?"

Donghyuck was definitely nervous and Johnny could see his reaction.

"It's for less chances of dropping the baby. With the stress you're feeling could be a reason why you're feeling contractions. It's not good for the baby. I suggest drinking these pills and work less. Being with your mate would help too."

"Will the baby be fine?"

The doctor nodded, "As long as you're away from stress and drink these pills, everything will be fine."

Donghyuck nodded as he looked at the paper. Worry immediately flooded his mind.

They walked out of the room and gets into the car. Johnny gripped on the wheel but couldn't get himself to drive. Donghyuck asked him why but all the alpha did was to look at him worriedly.

"It's Mark, right?"

"W-What do you mean?"

"He's the reason why."

Donghyuck looked away, "Hyung..."

"He needs to know this."

"He doesn't."

"Hyuck, this could end up bad--"

Donghyuck furrowed his eyebrows, "I can do this without him."

"It would be nicer if you tell him. Atleast he knows."

The beta shook his head and looked at the alpha, "He would just nag at me for being too careless."

"Then I'll talk sense to him."

"Even though you'll tell him, he still won't care, hyung. Your effort would be useless," Donghyuck was trying hard not to cry infront of the Vampire, "I'll talk to him if I have to."

Donghyuck looked outside. Johnny sighed before he started the car. He was worried, really worried. Mark's the father so he still has the right to know, but Donghyuck refuses since he didn't really care from the start. Johnny hated the fact that they're still fighting even though they're going to have a family soon.

Johnny bought him the medicines before they came home. Donghyuck thanked him and bids goodbye.

Donghyuck came into the house, empty as always. He goes straight into the kitchen to drinks the pills. Honestly, he was afraid. He couldn't help but stress everything about Mark. He's tired, annoyed and upset. Sometimes, he just wants to go out and imagine that this didn't happen.

It was already night time and it was already time for Donghyuck to go to bed. He turned the TV off and stood up from the couch. Suddenly, the front door opened and Mark came in.

"You're still awake."

"And you're too early to come home," Donghyuck said.

Mark removed his leather jacket, "Well...I got tired."

The beta nodded.

"How was the check-up?"

Donghyuck hid the worries with a smile, "I-It was fine."

"Johnny told me you've got something to say?"

The beta tried to stop his tears from falling, "The doctor said...the baby was fine so there's nothing to worry about."

Mark noticed his glossy eyes. He was about to ask him but Donghyuck spoke.

"I'm going to bed," Donghyuck said and turned his back. Mark knew he was wiping his tears while he walks upstairs and goes into his room.

Should he care?
