The dreaded lunch has arrived and with a deep sigh, you let your forehead rest on the desk of your table. Noticing your body language, Tomodaichi skipped over to you with a confused face.
"Todoroki-chan, are you okay?" she worriedly asks. Easing her worries with a smile you simply told her you were tired because you have a lot in your mind. Which was not a lie, since you have to figure out how to solve Bakugo's problem, deal with how to pass your training so you can eat with your brother in the cafeteria and the fact you actually turned down your brother's invitation to join him skipping your training for the day.
'I have so much to do...' You thought playing sad even if you don't know how it feels like.
"You know," Tomodaichi starts with a shy-like face earning your attention. Taking a seat before you she fiddled with her long blonde hair saying ever so nonchalantly "If you are having that much of a hard time... You can talk to me about it."
"Thank you for being so kind, Tomodaichi-san..." you smile softly making the girl perk expectantly "But my brother told me to figure out my problems first so I won't bother people."
'What kind of teaching is that? I need some help every now and then,' Tomodaichi thought bewildered along with another who was eavesdropping to your conversation.
"Anyway... I have to go, thank you though Tomodaichi!" You quickly waddled out of the room with your bag. Once you were gone the girl sighed in defeat pulling on her hair 'I was told that she left school alone yesterday... I wasted such an opportunity!'
With a frustrated huff, Tomodaichi stomped out of the room completely forgetting that there was still someone else in the room. 'How strange...' Shinsō thought as he watches the scene play before him before taking his own leave. 'There is something surely going on here...'
Over with you, you were still sulking over the loss of such a wonderful opportunity. 'Is this my punishment for something? Lord, I am sorry...'
Suddenly a loud sound rang throughout the school taking you by surprise. "What's going on??" You looked around confused. Activating your quirk you sensed a large flood of people in the hallways and you were confused as to why, but what caught your attention was the lone energy that was far from the crowd.
The energy was far from the group but was rather close to you 'It could be a teacher!' You thought 'I will go ask them what's going on!'
You made your way over to the near energy source 'This energy source is leaking with negativity...' You frown quickening your pace. You stopped at the door of a room that seems to be an office.
You can hear shuffling on the other side of the door 'Right...'. Softly you knocked on the wooden door.
"Sensei! Excuse me for disturbing, but there was an alarm just now. I was wondering if you heard it." Upon your knock, the shuffling stopped and it was dead quiet in the room. "Sensei?" You called again but was only answered with silence.
'Huh... Someone has to be inside right? If it's negative energy I am feeling... Are they potentially injured!'
"Sensei, I am coming in!" You announce turning the knob of the door. But just as you were about to push the door open, the same gruff voice called out to you from the end of the hall.
"Oi! Haven't you heard the alarm idiot!?" Bakugo frown marching up to you. "Ah, me-tracker!" You beam migrating over to him.
"Cut the shitty name, let's go"
"Ah, wait but I sense someone in that room..."
"Don't care, the more I leave you alone in this shitty situation the more the jolts keep coming in numbers." Bakugo grabbed your wrist and started dragging you down the stairs despite complaints.
You looked back at the door of the room one last time before deciding to leave it. "Fine..."
"Seriously, you took so long to react when the fucking alarm rang. The problem was already solved by the time I went looking for you!" Bakugo ranted while you continuously apologize to his every rant.
'Please have mercy for me, I would have made it down faster but there was someone who was still here... I didn't even get to see if they were even a teacher, they could have been a student...'
"Me-tracker, I am sorry I didn't go down as soon as I heard the alarm, but I thought I sensed another person close by, a-and as someone trying to be a hero... you know?"
Bakugo scoff knocking on your head that had you whining at the playful nudge "If you're gonna make a shitty ass excuse, then make it actually believable!" He yells making you cover your ears "And stop calling me, Me-tracker. It's fucking annoying"
"Haha, but I like the nickname!"
"Go die!"
Bakugo was ready to pummel you right there and then, getting impatient as he waits for a 'cure' for his problem. But before he could, he spotted movements at the corner of his eye. Catching him looking off to the side, you turn to look as well and your face immediately brightened up.
"Shōtō!" Without thinking much, you ran over to him completely forgetting that Bakugo was still gripping your wrist in an iron hold.
You got roughly pulled back making you almost fall if it weren't for Bakugo who, with quick reflexes, caught and steadied. "Sorry..!" you squeaked laughing nervously but the blonde had none.
"Are you freaking stupid or something!? Be more aware of your surroundings! Use your useless. Shit-ty. Brain!" Bakugo poked your head as he recites the last part.
Suddenly without warning, a hand snatch his stopping Bakugo's angry ran as glare into the heterochromatic colored pair that glowed with malice. Noticing the aura again you shrunk from between the two empowering males with worry.
"What are you doing?" Shōtō asked in a straight but deep tone.
"Me? Oh, I am just being a fucking hero and bringing this stupid piece of meat downstairs where all the other nutjobs are." Unusually calm, Bakugo smirked at his classmate, who was losing his cool and the blonde can tell.
"What were you really doing?"
"You don't believe me?" Bakugo raised an amused brow before looking down to you "Why don't you tell him then?"
"Sh-Shōtō..." You try to intervene in their fight but your brother quickly pulled you close to him and away from Bakugo
"Leave them out of this," Shōtō grumble but sensing his anger rising you quickly cut in "I'm sorry Shōtō it's my fault, I was careless. He didn't do anything wrong, let's not make any trouble for our teachers!" You burst out tugging your brother away from the blonde who silently watch you leave.
Looking at him with an apologetic look, you turn the corner with Shōtō. Bakugo stared at you two silently watching you leave.
By the time you both disappeared his face scowl lifted and without a care, he went on his merry way. 'Those jolts are getting annoying, but they are surprisingly not that painful when we're near each other than further apart.'
I think I owe you guys and the readers in my other books updates, but I got into a bit of a set back cause of my attitude in class. *coughnoididnotsleepinclasscough*
