Chapter 55: Sudden Chill

"So are you interested in going?" Shinso asked as he walked by your side after finally giving your bag. Scratching your hair sheepishly you nodded excitedly. "Going out on school break sounds really nice actually, I never went anywhere aside from the ramen-ya."

"Hmm, no wonder you're so weird." Shinso remarks shooting an arrow straight to your heart with his words. 

You cried out to him with a pout. "So mean!" your cry made a small smirk elevate on his lips that had you pouting even more, with a deliberate loud huff, you looked away from him. Shinso was as quiet as you but the reason not being the stubbornness to try and get the other to apologize.

Thinking back on your words you were worried if you offended him in some way but you suddenly met eyes with him. The hopeful gleam took you off guard but it also had a small hit of rose blooming over your cheeks.

"If you want to go somewhere. You can always call me, I can take you there..." he mumbled almost embarrassed.

'So cute...' 

You thought in slight awe imagining cat ears over his fluffy hair. With a bright grin, you ruffled his hair that had the boy turning red. 

"Now I'm excited! Let's go to a bunch of places when we're free, okay?!" your sparkling eyes bedazzled him. With a curt nod as his reply, you hum happily glomping him in a small hug before pulling away to dash a different direction since you still had extra classes to attend to.

"Travel safely Shinso!~" you called back to him.

The poor boy didn't have enough time to process. But he was glad you were out of sight when the colors took over his face. 

"You... really are weird... Like a cat..."

"That's enough for today." Sekijiro finally dismissed watching you clean up the rubble of building debris that you used to simulate how to rescue someone trapped under destroyed buildings and such.

In truth, what Sekijiro was supposed to do was physically prepare you for the extreme training that was to be expected during the first year. But he was quick to find that that you have always been prepared which made the fact that you were sent to the department course an old man's tale in his opinion.

So what he did was give you advance training. Since you were so versatile in many fields, he decided to prepare and introduce you to the different kinds so you can decide which you want to focus on.

The loud clank of the heavy metal brought the white-haired teacher back to his senses as he watches you dust your hands after carrying the large heavy chunk of metal with bare hands.

'I was told by the young one that her strength can be a result of concentrating energy at one point. It can be used to apply a force that is similar to adding weight or power in them. Since light has no mass.' he read over the extra information he had written down right after he was told.

Aside from being her mentor and helping the young girl find herself in a world of expectations and social pressure. Sekijiro was also asked to learn more about her quirk so that if ever to go out of control they can have a contingency plan. He was a little guilty for thinking at first that the girl was like a bomb of untouched and unrefined energy, the young female Todoroki actually work really hard.

'I even complimented her at how physically capable she was. And she answered...'

"Isn't it a given?" (Y/N) said with a small laugh wiping away your gathered sweat with a hand towel you brought with you. "How can I spend time with my dad and brother if I can't do what they do?"
