Dressed in your sports attire. Vlad King-- Now identified as Sekijiro, stood a good distance across from you. Though fueled by the adrenaline and anticipation of an exciting spar, your body felt jitters down your spine.
In your view, despite standing from afar. Sekijiro was a big man, even when he promised to hold back. The idea of fighting an adult was a bit off and unusual for you. You were taught to respect teachers and elders. You were told before not to fight adults cause adults are really strong.
'Was it Shoto who told me that? Probably not...'
"Ready, Todoroki?" Sekijiro called snapping you out of your worries with a small stutter.
"Y-Yeah! I'm ready..!"
'Should I point out how much her eyebrows are twitching?' The silver-haired teacher observed as he notices your unsure stance and stiff shoulders. It was opposite to the performance she presented in the Sports Festival that garnered her many votes from the many heroes who wondered if she was qualified to take the internship even if she was not in the hero course. His mind drifting to a vivid memory that occurred just yesterday.
"Vlad, you're acting as a mentor for the student, Todoroki (Y/N), right?" Sekijiro turned to see the school's guidance counselor, Hound Dog greeting him in the teachers' lounge.
"Yes, I am" He replied turning to the anthropomorphic dog person, "I assume that Principal Nezu asked you to look into her student profile?"
Nodding to the assumption Hound Dog handed a file while the other teachers were busy with their own work. "Principal Nezu noticed some signs so has asked me to look into her behavioral records. And I found something intriguing..."
Narrowing his gaze, Sekijiro frowned at the info before him written as if it were a minor incident. A record during thee pink-haired girl's elementary school years said;
'Todoroki (Y/N); Class 4-A; Date... The first week of the month, Todoroki expressed signs of depression. Would not join social activities or school festival. Has now started to linger behind class trips and has been reported by the nurse that she is visiting the clinic with self-inflicted wounds and bruises. Specifically found near abdominal regions, legs, arms, and near the neck.'
"Self-inflicted bruises?" Sekijiro lightly scoffed mirroring the frustration of the counselor, "One can't easily self inflict a bruise. The child must be getting bullied."
"I thought so too," Hound Dog replied before skimming through the pages of another folder he held, "With that in mind I ended up searching through news and social medias related to the school, and lo and behold--"
'Attempt Suicide in the School Grounds!! Victim Has Survived. The School Representative Has No Comments'
"They were basically trying to cover the whole thing up. Suspicious, right?" already started to rumbling a low growl.
"Don't get hasty..." Sekijiro reminded the fuming dog-man. "So this would mean that Todoroki might've been bullied? Would that mean?"
"It would seem that she has very low self-esteem. In later records, Todoroki is described to be an introvert never straying from her twin." Hound Dog finished off with a grumble still mad at the school for covering up bullying as self-harm.
