Chapter 59: After Effects

"Hello everyone! Welcome back to my travel channel! I am now, here! In Hosu, Tokyo!" Said a woman with blonde hair as she waved to the camera with a big smile. "The lights tonight are absolutely marvelous! In this video, we are planning to do the nightly activities that take place here so stay tuned!~"

Before she could say more, the voice of the cameraman, who was male, loudly cried out to her with an excited voice.

"Look! Look behind you!" He told the woman, "Isn't that one of the students who finished in the top 3 in the UA festival!?" his remark had her snapping her head in the general direction he said.

And true to his words, there. Walking casually dressed in a long skirt and printed orange flower blouse, complimented with brown sandals and carrying a moderately large bag. The pink-haired girl from the sports festival was easy to recognize.

A loud excited gasp came from the blonde, quickly saying, "Let's go greet her!"

Was the plan before a large explosion halted everything. Loud screams and cries were heard as the video thrashed around with the frantic movements of the cameraman.

Once the video steadied, the large form of the burly eyeless dark-skinned Nomu slowly walked out from the flames it caused in its entrance.

"W-What is that!?" 

The blonde woman cried out in fear seeing it raise its arms in the air ready to attack a young boy and his mother, who fell not too far from the pink-haired UA student. "Get away from here!!" yelled the cameraman just as the large meaty hand was brought down towards them.

When all of a sudden, the form of the creature was quickly surrounded by water and was thrown back, pinned to the ground.

It thrashed around roaring loudly causing debris to fly in the air and at the crown before it could hurt anyone though, shards of ice sprouted from the ground acting as shields for the people.

With one swift gesture of the girl, the water hardens and the villain was pushed further cemented to the ground.

Turning to the crowd she yelled in an authoritative voice. 

"Run Now!"

You blinked in surprise as your classmates paused the video. Their eyes sparkling with excitement and awe that had you sweating nervously.

'This is what the woman meant by saving them?' You thought still baffled as the things that happened last night wasn't properly registered to you. 'It must have been because of the aura that I thought I was the one being attacked... And this is what the police and hero meant when I risked keeping the civilians safe... How did I not remember it this way? '

"You were amazing Todoroki-san!" they squealed showing you more and more of people's reactions during the attack. "Everyone is praising you for what you did! They really believe that you could a hero just like your dad!"

"A flame hero?"

"No! A hero in the top three ranks!" they laughed as if you were telling a joke but to be honest you were burnt out.

When you got back, Sekijiro had you rest for the session while also scolding AND praising you. That got you thoroughly confused about the entire thing. What makes matters worse is now you are called by the Principal to his office, you are sure it's regarding the incident in Hosu and would, in the end, relate to the extra classes you are taking.
