*Ashton's POV*
In panic, I called Erika's phone over and over. What did Kaitlyn mean by she wouldn't wake up? Did something happened when I left? Oh my God. Why isn't Katilyn answering?
*Erika's POV*
It was later that afternoon that I had officially woken up for the day. Kaitlyn was lying on the bed, watching the TV across from the room. I looked down for my phone, before heading to her bed to lay with her, but I couldn't find it.
"What are you looking for?" Kaitlyn asked.
"My phone. I fell asleep with it, but now its not here."
"Its over here. It was going crazy so I grabbed it." She explained, holding my phone out. I walked over in relief and took it from her before sitting on the edge of the bed.
I looked at the 7 missed calls and if that wasn't enough to cause confusion, the name on the screen surely sent my head spinning. Just as I was about to press the call back button, his name filled my screen and my phone buzzed in my hands. With a shaky breath, I answered the call and put the phone up to my ear.
"Hello?" My voice was groggy from sleep. Great.
"Hello? Why weren't you answering me? What the fuck do you mean she isn't waking up? Where is Erika? Is she okay-"
"Woahh! Woah, slow down Ash." I calmly said, trying to understand his mile a minute, one sided conversation.
"Erika?!" he seemed excited, relieved but mostly confused.
"Yes?" I answered, confused myself.
"Oh my god! What happened? Are you okay? After the interview tonight, we are turning around and coming back."
"Ashton. What are you talking about?" Okay, what the hell? He is being so weird right now.
"Kaitlyn told me you wouldn't wake up. What happened?" He asked. I took a second or two to let the words wrap my mind. I turned to my best friend, lying on the bed, watching TV. But this time when I looked at her, I realized the sadness in her eyes.
"I'll call you back. I think I know what's going on."
"Erika-"
"I'm fine. Don't turn come back. I'll explain everything in a bit. Bye." I said, hanging up before he could say anything more.
I set my phone down and looked at Kaitlyn, waiting for her to say something. But she just stared at the TV above her. Finally, after minutes of awkward silent, she looked at me. "Oh, who was that?" she asked innocently.
"You know exactly who it was." I said, a little bit annoyed. But I had to keep my emotions in check because I think I understood why she was upset.
"He has been calling all morning." She shrugged.
"He said you told him I wouldn't wake up. Did you even try to wake me up?" I asked and she shook her head. "Why? What the hell? Why did you say that to him?"
"Why did-" She started to say, anger rising in her, but then she stopped and closed her eyes. "Nevermind."
"Why did what?"
"Forget it. It doesn't matter. Sorry I scared him."
"Katy!" I yelled, "You have to talk to me. You not talking got you in here. Now trust me enough to tell me what's wrong!"
"It just fucking hurts okay?!" She screamed. "Everything hurts. Everyone I love, leaves me. Everyone who makes me happy, leaves me. Nothing is fair. Why does everyone leave?"
