Going Home

*Luke's POV*

"Who is he?" Ashton asked as we sat in the waiting room. His hand was running through Erika's hair who was lying asleep on his lap. I turned my attention to the guy he was talking about.

"That's Zach...Katy's ex." I explained before getting up and walking over to the lost guy. "Hey, thanks for coming ."

"Well she is my bestfriend. Now where the hell is she? What happened to her? I knew you couldn't take care of her." He was pissed, and when I thought about it, he had every right to be. He was right too. I wasn't capable of taking care of her like he could. Touring, interviews, meet and greets, everything about my life came before Katy, but with Zach, a guy who lived a normal life. She deserved someone who could be with her all the time. Someone other than me, and thats why I called Zach. He should be here with her as she recovered from losing their baby. It was the best thing for the both of them.

"I'll take you to see her." and I did.

"Zach?" Katy's soft laughter stopped the moment we walked in the room and her face turned into complete surprise.

"Hey," he said, cautiously walking over to her bed.

"What are you doing here?" she asked. At first, she was in the room with only Michael and Calum, but before long everyone stood in here. Ash must have felt like this guy was some sort of threat because he dragged the sleeping Erika in as well. She was leaning on him, clearly still exhausted.

"Well this bastard here-"

"Watch it." Ash snarled, not necessarily because Zach was stepping out of line and he wanted to protect me, but because he hated that word seeing as his dad left.

"-called me and told me you we in the hospital. I got here as fast as I can, and my family is on their way."

I watched as Katy's face lost all color when she threw her head back against the pillow and shut get eyes tightly. "Your family is on their way? That means my family is coming too. I'm so dead."

"Just like the baby." Michael said with a satisfied smile, obviously not understanding that those words could hurt her.

"Clifford-!" Calum yelled before I had the chance to.

"What? She's laughing!" He defended and I looked over to see her smiling just a bit. I guess there was some relief that she wasn't pregnant any longer.

"Wait? A baby?! Kaitlyn, what are they talking about?" Zach asked, completely confused.

"I wanted to tell you...but I didn't know how. And then...I lost it. I lost our baby, Zach." she sounded so heartbroken and sincere, but it wasn't the way she said it, it was the words themselves that tore me in two. This baby wasn't mine because her and I never had a thing because I was no good for her.

"Wait, this baby wasn't Luke's?" Calum shouted in confusion.

"He better not have touched her!" Zach growled inching closer to me but Michael shot up out of his chair and stood in front of me.

"Back up." Michael demanded.

"Stop it guys!" Katy screamed clearly annoyed. "Nothing has happened between Luke and I. We are just friends."

"Oh, that makes sense now. I thought you two were just really quiet." Cal spoke up. I really didn't like where this was going.

"Aww so our little Lucas is still a virgin! I thought for sure Katy would have taken it from you the day you two met." Ashton chirpped in which caused a blush to appear on my face.
