It feels like a dream living in a different world. It was just a mere dream before but look at me didn't know I will end up here though I've already seen this coming.

"Girl join me tonight. I'm meeting a good friend and a business partner." Yujin said.

"Woah! Business partner??"

"Yas! Your girl needs to work of course and besides you're looking for a job right?"

"Yas!"

She is one of my closest friend living here in Korea and at the same time my tour guide while staying for a vacation.

Didn't bother arguing with her it seems she really planned this out already. I am just walking behind her.

"Arin!"
"Yujin!"

Damn! This can't be real. Her friend and business partner is someone I know. Not personally. But.

She is JOO/Arin/Jung Min Joo.

I am speechless. Who would have thought? I tried to stay still, acts like everything is normal though it wasn't.

I am listening to their plans and everything. Still trying to sink in if she is real or not.

Frankly speaking, I can't fluently speak their language but I can understand some phrases but in this case I am just going to laugh when they are laughing. Sounds dumb but I wasn't properly functioning at the moment.

On our way home Yujin told me everything about their business and how they became business partner.

"So I was saying, these past few days is very hectic for both of us. Arin really needs someone as her helping hand since we are planning to expand."
"And?"
"That is why we need you." Her eyes sparkles as she speaks.
"I cannot trust anyone else for the position. So we will process your papers such as your working visa and other documents, just be the CEO's secretary."
"Oh my goddd!"
"Is that a yes? Or should I still give you some time?"
"You know what, I really wanted to but..."
"But?"
"I— I mean I cannot fully understand your convo, I cannot fluently speak in your language..."
"Hep! Girl it's easy Arin and I will help you."
"But..."
"No buts. Just Yes or yes?"
"Guess I have no choice?"
"Yas! Actually your papers are already on process so you are really left with no choice."

I go back home after spending my vacation and after a few months, all papers are processed. But before I go back, I made sure to study their language first.

So now I'm off to Korea again but this time not for vacation.

Schedules. Meetings. Suppliers. Off. Back to schedules.

I already got the hang of working here with the help of Yujin and everyone around me. Of course our CEO, Arin is really a great help for me to easily adjust on my surroundings.

Months passed but each day is getting better and better, though the language? We're getting there.

I still remember on my first day sajangnim/Arin asked me about my Korean name which I never thought of having. She told to me to have one for fun and for others to easily remember. Since we became so close I let her decide to choose a name for me. She chose something closer to her name.

"Ar... Areum?... it is fine right? Areum?"
"Areum?"
"Yes! That will be your Korean name from now on."
So everyone now calls me Areum. I also got used to it.

'Yujin calling...'

"Girl, Arin isn't available for today but she told me you still gotta meet someone to sign the papers in behalf of her."
"Okay."
"Will send you the location after I got it."
"Okay thanks!"

'Yujin text message'
'464 Apgujeong-ro Gangnam-gu, Seoul.'

As soon as I received the address I immediately took a cab. Still early to be late though but I must be early.

I was thinking aside from the CEO, It is the first time she will send a representative in behalf of her. Maybe its her parents who I am meeting today.

Arriving at the location. O-okay? This cafe looks so fancy. Well, what can you expect our CEO loves to go to fancy places.

I'm too early and still have time to roam around the place. Speechless. Damn this place is too instagrammable?? Well this is Cafe Dior By Pierre Herme. What do I expect?

Before I get too mesmerize with the place I need to go up already to prepare the documents.

15 more minutes. Suddenly I felt nervous. I don't know why. I tried recalling all my Korean vocabulary. Please God help me not to embarrass myself later.

Out of nowhere I feel incompetent maybe because of the possibility that I am going to report to her parents maybe? Ugh. I felt like my whole body is shaking. I try to calm myself first but I notice a familiar figure walking towards my table.

DAMN!!!
