"You like him, don't you?"

"I-I can't. You don't understand how much that means. If I.... Like him, what does that make us?"I mumble and Maddie shrugs

She was acting weirdly.

Very quiet, obviously.

"Enough about Alessio. Maddie, are you okay?"I ask and she nods

"Why-Why would I not be okay? I'm fine, got it? Absolutely splen-fucking-did."She says to quickly and she gulps before sighing

"I don't know how to say-"

I place my hand on Maddie's shoulder

"It's okay, you can tell me whatever it is on your terms, and when you're ready."I cut her off and she smiles with tears

"Thank you."

She stands to leave but I hug her first

"Night, Maddie."

She throws up the peace sign as she jumps the fence over to her house.

I shook my head in amusement unlocking the door and entering my home.

I sneak up to my room and fall into my bed.

Man, today was a crazy night.

"Where were you dressed like that?"I hear and I mentally cursed as I look and see my mom crossing her arms.

"Hey mom."

"Que idiota. Why did he do that?"My mom says as she loudly munches on her trail mix.

It was annoying but if I said something, she'll get mad and I'll be 'grounded'

So I shrug as I tried not to cringe.

"I don't know, he says it's because he's liked me since we met."I sighed

"Ah, so he finally said it. I knew he would."My mom says and I gasp

"You knew?!"

"Of course I knew. You two, you guys liked each other and literally everyone knew except for you guys. I'm surprised it took y'all this long. I still haven't forgiven him for what he said though."She says as she puts the bag up in the air tilting it so the crumbs would fall into her mouth.

"Well, nice catching up on your complicated love life. Good night."She smiles squeezing my cheek

"It's not a love life! It's one sided!"I holler as she walks out.

On cue, when she shuts the door my phone begins to vibrate signaling someone is calling me.

I see Jeremy's name and I roll my eyes answering

"What would you like, germs?"

"Hello, Luna! I was thinking you could meet your boyfriend's friend group including me."

"He is NOT my boyfriend and why exactly would I wanna meet your friend group?"

"Because I can introduce the girl that finally isn't obsessed with Alessio or me or any of our guy friends in particular."

"Mm, I don't know honestly. The party kind of was pretty boring and I'm pretty anti-social when it comes to new people."

"You can invite your friend again! You'll already have known Alessio, your friend and me! It'll be fun."

"Her name is Maddie, please don't refer to her as 'your friend' cause she has a name. Also where would we even meet them anyway?"
