When dr. Hassen noticed that Tyler's tracker said he hasn't moved in over six hours he and his team decided Tyler had to be dead. Dr. Hassen had a slight feeling of guilt but pushed it aside, instead proposing a new project to his workers and getting started immediately.

He didnt even bother calling the Duns to let them know that Tyler was at war and that hes most likely dead, so the Duns still didnt know where Tyler was. Dr. Hassen wasnt bothered by that though.

Back over seas however Tyler was alive but just barely. He hadnt woken up yet but George was still with him, still hugging him and still whispering to his unresponsive frame. He was telling Tyler a story he used to tell his son when he was younger when his son was scared in the middle of the night for whatever reason it may have been when another person finally joined them in the trench.

The person was on Georges side and went to shoot but stopped. "Nicholson?" The other guy asked. George nodded. The guy looked at Tyler and quickly raised his gun seeing as he was on the enemy side. "No dont." George quickly spoke.

"What do you mean dont? Hes our enemy." The guy said. "No, no hes not. Hes just a kid. A scared kid that's been through way too much shit and dosent deserve to be here." George said. "No one deserves to be at war." The other guy spoke, crawling over to George. "I know but him especially.. not after all the shit hes been through before this." George replied.

"Shit like what?" The other guy asked. "Doesnt matter right now... just help me get him somewhere safer? If someone finds out were over here were all gonna be dead and I promised him he wasnt going to die. I promised him hed get home." George said.

They guy sighed. "I dont know." He said. "Look my son died out here. You know that. I'm not letting him die here too." George said. "Yeah okay." The guy said nodding his head. "We can take him back to base." He added. "Thank you." George said sincerely.

The guy, named Frank Paulva nodded and picked Tyler up, throwing him over his shoulder before helping George up. He carried Tyler because he was younger then george and more capable of carrying him over a distance while George grabbed a gun.

They carefully made their way down the trench until it ended before making a break for it across the field. Thet managed to make it behind a barrier safely. Frank carefully set Tyler down behind it. "I'm gonna go find a truck stay here!" He yelled over the gun fired before running off.

It was a while before he came back with a truck. He got out after he pulled up and ran over to pick Tyler up again. He carried Tyler while George ran behind him. He was getting Tyler situated in the truck when George was shot in the back of the leg and fell to the ground.

Frank cursed to himself and ran over to help George into the truck too. Then he was speeding off into the woods. The drive back to their base was about an hour or more but as soon as they arrived medical attention for both Tyler and George were there right away.

It took some convincing for the sergeant of this side to agree for Tyler to stay and get the help he needed but he eventually agreed once George told him the full story.

When Tyler woke up he coughed slightly then groaned. He went to sit up but was stopped by a hand on his non injured shoulder, slowly easing him back down. "You're okay kid." A voice said. Tyler opened his eyes to find George there smiling at him softly.

"George?" He asked. "Yeah bud it's me." George replied. "Where am I?" Tyler asked. "At my sides base. You're going home soon though." George said. "I am?" Tyler asked. George nodded. "Weve arranged for a helicopter to come for you and take you to the hospital, an actual hospital then send you home on an airplane." George said.

Tyler let out a relieved breath and shut his eyes. He was going home. He was gonna see Josh again. He was gonna see momma and da and Ashley, abby, Jordan and jenna. He was gonna see them all again. "Thank you." He croaked with tears in his eyes. He was so grateful for George.

"You're welcome." George smiled, taking Tyler's hand in his. "Ar eyou going home?" Tyler asked. "Not yet" George replied. "Why not?" Tyler asked. "They still need me here." George said. "I wish you could go home too." Tyler said. "I will eventually." George said.

Tyler was going to speak but got cut off by another voice he didnt recognize. "They're here. Let's get him out there." The other man said. "Looks like it's time for me to say goodbye." George said with a soft smile. Tyler stared at him for a second. "Thank you for helping me, especially since were not on the same side and you had the option to kill me.... I really hope you make it home safely... you deserve to after what you sacrificed for me." Tyler said.

George smiled again and nodded but there were tears in his eyes. "Take care of yourself kid." He said. "You too." Tyler said. "Oh also I took that tracker out of your neck. Dr. Hassen wont be able to find you now." George said before he was being carried out to a helicopter and loaded up onto it with a few other injuried soilders so he didnt get to reply.

It took a few days but before he knew it he was sitting in the airport waiting for his flight. He was sitting on a bench waiting to hear his flight number get called when he heard his name. He looked up and seen one of his buddies from his side.

"Hey." He said as his buddy came over and pulled him to his feet to hug him. "We all thought you were dead." Samuel louval, his buddy said, hugging him tightly. "No I'm okay.. a little beaten up but okay." He replied.

"How?" Samuel asked, pulling back to examine him. "A nice fellow named George Nicholson from the other side helped me out. I'd be dead if it wasnt for him." Tyler said. He still had bandages everywhere. On his head, the back of his neck, his shoulder and his ankle was wrapped with gauze, he had sprained it when he tripped.

"Really?" Samuel asked with surprise. Tyler nodded. "Well I'm happy you're alive buddy." Samuel said, hugging Tyler again and gently patting his back. Tyler smiled. He pulled back when his flight was called. "That's me.. I'll see you around." Tyler said. "Take care." Samuel said before heading off in his own direction.

Tyler took a deep breath and gathered his things before heading toward his gate. The flight was long as it was the last few times hes done it but this time he had something to look forward to when he got off.

He didnr exactly know how yet but he was going to get in contact with Josh as soon as he got to the airport back home. It was his number one priority, to let Josh know he was okay.
