The three headed to Josh's place. Tyler was still crying, him and Josh sat on the couch, josh trying to soothe him while dix sat on the floor and stared intensely at the tv like Tyler used to when he was younger. Tyler was straddling Josh's lap, sniffling softly into the mans neck.
"Wanna tell me why you're crying now?" Josh asked, kissing the side of Tyler's head. Tyler finally replied but his response was muffled and incoherent. "Speak up." Josh said. Tyler sighed and opted on just shaking his head again. "No baby tell me." Josh said. "......Dr. Hassen was right. I'm a monster." Tyler finally said.
"Hey no. You are not a monster." Josh said. "Yes I am." Tyler croaked. "Look at me." Josh said. Tyler shook his head. "Now Tyler." Josh said. Tyler sighed but sat back. His eyes were bloodshot and puffy, but they were also still glowing dimly. "You did what you had to do. No one is mad at you for it, and no one blames you for doing it. Especially not me." Josh said.
"Doesnt change the fact that I did it Josh. I-I hurt those people... I hurt them badly" tyler said, his voice wavering. "But if you didnt do it something worse could have happened Tyler. You did it to protect yourself." Josh said. Tyler sniffled as Josh wiped away some of his tears.
"How's your eye and stuff? Hurting at all?" Josh asked, examining the injuries he could see. Tyler nodded. "Everything hurts." He said glancing at dix. "Hes strong... he shouldnt be that strong... hes almost as strong as me." He said looking back to Josh. "I think he might he a little bit stronger." Josh chuckled gently using his thumb to rub Tyler's cheek.
"No hes not.. I didnt fight back too much cause I didnt want to hurt him. I know he was scared and I know he didnt want to do it... look at him. Hes doesn't want to hurt anyone." Tyler said turning to dix again. Josh looked too. "He reminds me of you... you used to do that you know? TV was like the most magical thing to you." Josh said.
Tyler smiled slightly but his eyes were still glowing. "I remember." He whispered. Josh smiled. "Did you need anything? Want a pain killer?" He asked getting back on topic. "Yes please and my bong I really wanna get stoned." Tyler said. Josh nodded and kissed Tyler's cheek before moving him to sit on the couch.
Tyler sniffled again as Josh left the room, wiping at his eyes. Dix looked at Josh confusedly before looking at Tyler and tilting his head. Tyler was practically shaking. Dix knew something was wrong. He could sense it so he crawled over and jumped up on the couch with Tyler, staring at him. "Sad." He whispered.
Tyler looked at him before nodding and reaching out to pet the younger boy. Dix hummed and moved closer. Tyler sighed. "I'm sorry you had to go through what you did. I know how badly it sucks." He said. Dix tilted his head. "He cant hurt you anymore though okay?" Tyler asked. "Hurt?" Dix asked. "Dr. Hassen. He cant hurt you anymore. I promise." Tyler said.
Dixs eyes had started glowing and he furrowed his eyebrows at the mention of dr. Hassen. "You're safe now dix." Tyler said. "Safe?" Dix asked. Tyler nodded. "Safe." He said. Dixs eyes faded to normal and he smiled softly before laying down on the couch with his head on Tyler's lap.
"Were safe." Tyler whispered, more to himself then to dix though. Josh came back then and handed tyler a pain killer along with a glass of water. "Can i ask a question?" Josh asked. Tyler nodded as he took a drink. "Why are your eyes still glowing?.. are you still angry?" Josh asked. Tyler shook his head and set the empty glass on the side table.
"No. I just hurt... a lot." Tyler replied. Josh nodded understandingly and handed Tyler his things so he could get high. Tyler took then from him but stood up, making dix sit up and tilt his head confusedly. "Where you going?" Josh asked. "I dont want to do it around dix. I'll go outside." Tyler replied, kissing Josh's cheek before walking off.
Josh sighed softly before turning to look at dix. "I guess it's just me and you for a bit bud." He said sitting down, letting dix lay across his lap and playing with his hair. The boy smiled and started purring almost. He reminded Josh alot of younger Tyler. They were practically the same person.
Tyler was outside for about an hour before he came back in and set his bong and lighter on the coffee table. Josh watched him carefully as he sat down. "Okay?" He asked. Tyler looked at him, smiling lazily and nodding. His eyes werent glowing anymore but they were tinted pink from the drug.
"You're stoned." Josh grinned. Tyler started laughing, trying to hold them back but failing miserably. He nodded though, very much agreeing with what Josh said. He was beyond stoned. He let his head lol back and stared up at the ceiling as he took a deep breath.
He was quiet for about half a second before bursting into giggles again. Josh grinned again and shook his head. Dix on the other hand was intrigued with the smell radiating off Tyler and with Tyler's behavior. So he sat up and starting sniffing him and investigating.
Tyler continued to giggle, shoving dix away a bit and moving over to Josh. He sat in Josh's lap. Josh smiled at him. "Hey baby." He said. Tyler smiled contently and sighed. "I love you." He said. "I love you too." Josh replied. Tyler smiled again and laid his head on Josh's shoulder, completely content with the moment.
(What do you guys think of dix so far?)
