Tyler curled himself into a ball as they drove, josh letting him hold his hand. Tyler's grip was so tight that it was hurting Josh's hand, but josh didnt say anything. He pulled up in front of the hospital, parking haphazardly before rushing out and getting Tyler out of the car, quickly taking him inside.
Tyler was crying still, still shaking and his head still throbbing with pain. People were staring but Josh kept going right to the reception desk. "Is there any available doctors?" He asked, out of breath from rushing around. "Fill this out have a seat." The receptionist said sliding a form across the desk towards them.
"No you don't understand he needs-" josh was cut off by tyler whining loudly and letting out a choked sob and he buried his face against Josh's chest. "Shh shhh were at the hospital now baby you're okay." Josh said.
Joshs words were supposed to be calming but Tylers lungs felt like they were going to disintegrate. He opened his eyes slightly, they were glowing yellow harshly and he was growling as the receptionist paged for immediate attention for Tyler after realizing the severity of his state.
A bunch of nurses with a gurney rushed through some doors and over to them after a few minutes and took Tyler from Josh's grip. "Josh!" tyler panicked, thrashing in the nurses hold. His adrenaline was rushing dispite how tired he felt from the events of the day.
The nurses held him to the gurney as he squirmed around, panicking because he needed to be with Josh. He startled the nurses when he growled lowly, opening his eyes. One nurse jumped back not expecting Tyler's eyes to be glowing. Josh was over quickly, soothing Tyler as they took him away from the waiting room. "Josh" he sobbed reaching for him. "Shhh it's okay." Josh whispered letting Tyler grab his hand as they rushed down the hall, nodding at one of the nurses as they held up a sedative.
Tyler's breathing got heavier but he calmed down rather quickly, his eyes struggling to stay open. He was whimpering softly, he didnt want to go to sleep because he was scared of where he would wake up and who he would wake up to but after a minute he was out.
When he woke hes was laying in a hospital bed, josh was sitting next to him. "Hey baby. You okay?" Josh asked softly, holding Tyler's hand. Tyler nodded groggily his head wasnt hurting anymore, but that's only due to the IV in his hand.
He pushed himself to sit up before crawling off the bed and into Josh's lap. Josh hugged him, kissing his forehead, knowing tyler was uneasy with the thought of being at the hospital. They sat there for a while, Tyler's face buried in Josh's neck before the doctor came in.
"Hello my names dr. Warren. I'm gonna ask you a few questions okay?" The doctor asked. Tyler turned his head to look at him before nodding hesitantly. "So what's your name?" Dr. Warren asked, pulling out a pen and getting ready to write on the clipboard he had.
"Tyler." Tyler replied, watching as the doctor wrote that down. "Last name?" Dr. Warren asked, looking up when Tyler was quiet. "... I dont think I have one." Tyler whispered. "You dont have a last name?" Dr. Warren asked
"Not that I know of." Tyler said. Dr. Warren furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Josh who pursed his lips. "Well what's your parents last name?" He asked. "I dont know." Tyler replied. "You dont know your parents names?" Dr. Warren asked. "I never met them." Tyler said.
"... okay.. do you know how old you are?" Dr. Warren asked. "Not for sure.. i was told I was born December 1st... I think I'm twenty four." Tyler said. The doctor nodded and wrote that down. ".. can I ask why you dont know that much about yourself?" He asked. Tyler looked at Josh before looking back at dr. warren.
"I cant tell you." Tyler said. "Why not?" Dr. Warren asked. "Hes scared you'll bring him back." Josh replied. "Back where?" Dr. Warren asked. Tyler shook his head. "Dont." He said, to Josh starting to shake slightly. Josh gently rubbed his back to try to sooth him.
"Why cant you tell me?" The doctor asked. "Cause you're a doctor." Tyler sobbed suddenly. "What does that have to do with anything?" Dr. Warren asked, confused with the whole situation. "Cause if I tell you you'll tell him and hes gonna come get me!" Tyler screamed. "Hey hey hey calm down." Josh said, hugging tyler tightly. There was only one doctor Tyler even slightly trusted and it was his and Josh's doctor.
"Listen tyler," dr. Warren said as he sat down in front of him and Josh. "I'm not here to hurt you." He said. "Yes you are!" Tyler yelled. "Tyler shhh." Josh tried to calm him. "I'm not." Dr. Warren said.
Tyler didnt believe him, he really just wanted to go home now. The doctor sighed softly and reached out to adjust Tyler's iv that was starting to come out but Tyler panicked and teleported up into a corner. The doctor jumped back, clearly startled.
Josh sighed and looked around until he spotted Tyler and he got up. "Come down please ty." He said. Tyler shook his head. "Hey look at me. Do you trust me?" Josh asked. Tyler nodded. "Then please come down. Hes not going to hurt you I promise." Josh spoke softly. Tyler looked up at the doctor who still looked a little startled but dropped to the floor and walked over to Josh to hug him.
"Listen that doctor over there is not here to hurt you. I promise. You can talk to him, no ones gonna hurt you. I wont let them okay?" Josh asked. Tyler sniffled. "Okay" he whispered. He ended up explaining everything to the doctor, the experiments and dr. Hassen and how he was forced to go to war, when he hit is head, how hes been hiding from dr. Hassen the last while, the migraines, everything.
By the end of it he was shaking. "Dont tell him please." He croaked. The doctor was speechless for a second. "So you're the kid that escaped from lowpoint all those years ago." He said. Tyler nodded. "Dont tell them I'm alive. Please." He begged.
"Ill do my best to keep it a secret. If anyone else finds out that's who you are they might tell." Dr. Warren said. "But you wont?" Tyler asked. "I wont. I'm very sorry you've had to go through all that... I've never agreed with dr. Hassens experiments." Dr. Warren said.
"They suck.. and they hurt.... so bad." Tyler whispered. "I bet... is it okay if I run a few more tests on you? Just to see your brain activity and stuff? I wanna see how much damage dr. Hassen has done and If there might be anyway to counter it or lessen it." Dr. Warren said.
Tyler looked at Josh. "Will it hurt?" He asked looking back at the doctor. "I'm not sure.. I dont think.. but if you agree and we do something that does or something you're uncomfortable with you can always tell me and we can stop." Dr. Warren said. "... okay." Tyler whispered, nodding a bit.
"Promise you wont tell though?" He asked. "Promise." Dr. Warren said.
