58: World champ

Every few days Tyler found a way to sneak off to fights. He practiced using his mutations when Josh's was at work. Dix has questioned him few times but Tyler just said it was because he was bored and dix believed him.

He was making a crapton of money. He didnt even know where to store it all once the backpack was filled. Hes won every fight so far and was making a name for himself in the cage fighting industry.

Josh has been questioning the injuries Tyler's been suddenly getting. Tyler told him lies about how he got them, but he could tell Josh didnt believe him. Tonight he had a really big fight. He was going up against one of the best mutant cage fighters.

"Take a deep breath kid this is it. Big money.  You're going up against hunter. This guys the undefeated world champ. Hes never lost a single fight and hes been doing this for years. I'm confident in you though. You got this." Gordon said. Tyler nodded. He was nervous. Terrified actually.

"Alright your up. Good luck." Gordon said, opening the door for Tyler to go inside. The same old introduction annoument boomed over the PA Tyler stared anxiously at the guy on the other side of the cage. They were extremely different in size. Hunter was much Taller and much more built then Tyler. He was terrifying.

Tyler tried to stay calm when he heard the bell ring and hunter took a few steps towards him. Tyler was contemplating what his move was going to be. He knew him and hunter shared a few mutations as well as their own separate ones.

He gasped slightly when hunter teleported behind him and wrapped an arm tightly around his neck. He flipped hunter over his shoulder before trying to punch him. Hunter protected himself.

They went back and forth for a few minutes each move Tyler made hunter had a better one. Tyler was getting his ass kicked, literally. Hunter got a hand around Tyler's throat and had him pinned agaisnt the side of the cage. One of Tyler's hands was trying to pry hunters hand off his throat while hunter had a death grip on the other one.

He started feeling weak and then he realised why hunter has won every fight hes been in. One of hunters mutations is to drain another mutants powers. He only knew that because he was trying to teleport out of the hold he was in but he couldnt. He couldnt use any of his mutations.

Both of their eyes were glowing. Tylrrs eyes rolled back slightly as hunters grip on his throat tightened. He struggled to get air. He felt absolutely drained, weak. His arms fell to his sides and he was sure he was going to pass out.

That's when hunter took the opportunity to get some more hits in. He went striaght for Tyler's torso. His fist colliding with Tyler's stomach and ribs. A few odd punches to the face. He winced when hunter pulled him away from the cage only to slam him back into it. Another hit to his face was so hard it caused him to blackout for a moment.

It took everything Tyler had in him to reach up and grab hunters throat as well when he came to. He stared directly into hunters eyes for a moment before hunters grip realised and they both fell to the floor. The whole room fell silent as they waited to see what had happened.

Tyler took a moment to catch his breath before he pushed himself up, hunter following his actions. Tyler cracked his neck slightly and shook out his arms before looking at hunter. He had hunter under his control, just like he did with dix the first time they met. Tyler made hunter choke himself.

He could hear hunter screaming in his mind to stop but he didnt. Hunter fell to his knees and that's when Tyler walked over and grabbed the back of hunters hair and pulled it back so hunter looked up at him. Tyler pulled his arm back and with one hit hunter was out.

Tyler let out a breath of relief and wiped at his nose, stumbling slightly. He blinked slowly at his hand when he seen blood. "Shit." He whispered. "The world champion has been defeated. Your new world champion, tyler!" The ref held Tyler's arm in the air.
