Tyler was living with jenna for three months now. He and jenna went to the store to get groceries today. He didnt do much only walking beside jenna. He wasnt really a fan of grocery shopping or leaving Jenna's house in general. He was scared dr. Hassen was going to show up somewhere and take him back to the hospital for more experiments.
It never happened but it was just one of his fears. Jenna had him stopped in the cereal isle, asking him which brand he would prefer. He stared at them for a moment before pointing at a random one because he didnt really care.
He sighed softly as jenna looked at something else, picking at his nails. "Tyler??" He heard a faintly familiar voice say before he looked up and looked around. His eyes wided when he spotted Jordan, Josh's brother. Jenna was looking at him too.
At the moment Tyler didnt care if there was people around, he didnt care if jenna got freaked out but he teleported right into jordans arms and hugged him tightly, almost knocking him over. Jordan hugged him back just as tightly. "I missed you so much holy shit." Jordan said.
Tyler sniffled letting out a soft sob. "Jor jor." He croaked. Jordan pulled back and grabbed Tyler's face. "Where have you been?" He asked. "War." Tyler sniffled. "All this time?" Jordan asked. Tyler nodded as jenna walked over, surprized that Tyler was talking. He still doesnt have that good of a vocabulary but hes definitely matured a lot while on deployment. The other soilders have taught him a lot of things.
"Wheres momma? And Josh? And da? And ashy and Abby?" Tyler asked. "They arent here. I'm just picking up a few things." Jordan said. "T-they safe?" Tyler asked. Jordan nodded with a soft smile. "Yeah ty they're safe." He said.
Tyler let out a relieved breath and hugged Jordan again. "When did you get back exactly?" Jordan asked when they pulled apart. Tyler thought for a moment before looking at jenna. All concept of time was gone from him. "Threeish months." She said.
Jordan looked st her and nodded. "Uh hi sorry I'm jordan." He said, reaching out to shake her hand. "Jenna." She replied. "How do you know Tyler?" Jordan asked. "Found him at the airport when he first landed. He was alone all day asleep on the bench so I went over to see if he was okay. Hes been staying with me ever since." Jenna replied.
Jordan nodded. "So you've really been at war for three and a half years?" He asked. Tyler nodded, more tears running down his cheeks. Jordan reached up to wipe them away and hug Tyler again. "How do you know ttler?" Jenna asked.
"Its a little complicated but hes sort of my brother but not really my brother. I dont really know how to explain it." Jordan said. Jenna nodded slowly. "And so uh... he just like teleported."she said. Jordan nodded. "He hasn't told you about that?" He asked.
"Todays the first time I've even heard him speak." She laughed softly. "Oh well it's amazing really. Tys so amazing." Jordan said. "Can you do anything else?" Jenna asked. Tyler nodded. "Like what?" She asked.
When Tyler hesitated Jordan spoke for him, knowing Tyler probably wasnt sure how to explain it all. "He can set stuff on fire, climb around on the ceiling, he gots like an animalistic side to him so he gets right cuddly and playful sometimes, if hes really angry his eyes will glow. It's really cool." Jordan said.
Jenna looked at Tyler who stared back at her. "Not cool." He whispered. "Its not cool?" Jenna asked. "Dont like. Dont want." Tyler said. "You dont like that you can do all that stuff?" She asked. Tyler shook his head. He hates it.
"Well I think it's pretty cool Even if you dont." Jordan said, reaching out to scratch behind Tyler's ear. Tyler instantly moved closer for more. Behind the ear scratches are one of his favorite things but he hasn't gotten them in so long.
He shut his eyes and leant agaisnt Jordan's shoulder enjoying the sensations. When Jordan stopped to hug him instead he opened his eyes but cuddled further into his hold. "Want momma." He whispered. Jordan pulled back again.
"You wanna go see momma?" He asked. Tyler nodded. "And da and Josh and ashy and Abby." He said. Jordan smiled softly. "I'm sure we can arrange that." He said. "Please." Tyler whispered.
"Why don't we get all our groceries and stuff then go talk outside about details?" Jenna asked. "Yea okay I'll meet yous out there." Jordan said, going to walk away. Tyler grabbed him though. "No leave." He said worriedly. "I'm not leaving I promise. I'll seen you in a few minutes okay?" Jordan said. Tyler shook his head, tears gathering in his eyes again.
He was so scared that if Jordan left his side he wouldnt be able to find him when they were done. Jordan stared at him for a minute before sighing and nodding. "Okay I'll stay with you guys." He said. Tyler hugged him. "Thank you." He whispered. "Youre welcome." Jordan replied.
After both jenna and Jordan had gotten all the things they went to the store for they went through the checkout and put their things in their car before talking. Jenna and Jordan exchanged numbers so they could get a hold of each other and it was decided that Tyler was going to go with Jordan to go see the rest of the family.
They all said goodbye before heading off. Tyler helped Jordan carry the grocery bags into the house. "Mom you'll never guess who I found at the grocery store!" Jordan called out.
