52: seizure

Tyler slept for a while and when he woke he felt drowsy and not all there. His breaths were slow as he sat up and he was visably disoriented. Josh had been watching tv when Tyler woke up but looked at him when he sat up, watching him carefully.

"You okay?" He asked. Tyler slowly looked at him but didnt reply. When Tyler fell forwards suddenly Josh caught him and his eyes widened when Tyler started shaking. Quickly josh looked at momma Dun who was watching from the chair in the corner.

She got up quickly and ran out to find a doctor or a nurse. When she came back a few nurses followed her and quickly ran over to Tyler. When they determined the problem they quickly moved him to lay on his side on nurse kept his hand on Tyler's shoulder to keep him from rolling onto his back or stomach.

"What's happening?" Momma Dun asked. "Hes having a seizure." One of the nurses stated calmly. "Does he get them often?" Another nurse asked. "No hes never had once.. not to my knowledge anyway." Josh said.

The nurse nodded. When Tyler stopped seizing his whole body relaxed agaisnt the bed. His breaths were slow and heavy. "Okay there we go. You're okay." The nurse said gently rubbing Tyler's back.

Tyler's eyes were hooded and not really focused on anything. "Can you look at me bud?" The nurse asked, snapping his fingers until Tyler's eyes traveled to them. "There you go." The nurse said. He kept gently talking to Tyler and asking him questions until Tyler was able to respond without slurring or breaking eye contact. The other nurses had left after figuring he had the situation under control

The nurse helped Tyler to sit up. "Do you know what happened?" The nurse asked. Tyler shook his head. "You had a seizure." The nurse spoke. "I did?" Tyler asked. The nurse nodded. "You've never had one before?" He asked.

"I used to have them when I was younger... dr. Hassen always told me it was because I hit my head when I was a baby. My parents left me on the side of a highway.. they think they threw me out the window.... I havent had one since I was like seven though." Tyler said.

The nurse nodded. "Okay.. were gonna keep an eye on it but it might just be because of the virus. " he said. Tyler nodded and the nurse smiled before turning and leaving.

Tyler turned to Josh. "You okay?" Josh asked. Tyler nodded and moved to cuddle up with josh. "I didnt know you used to have seizures." Josh said, rubbing Tyler's back. Tyler nodded. "It sucked.. I used to have them like everyday sometimes more then once.. I'm surprised I didnt have one when I it my head over seas... i hope it doesnt get like that again." He said. "Me too." Josh said.

"I'm gonna sleep again... seizures wear me out." Tyler whispered. Josh nodded and gently kissed the top of Tyler's head. "I'm right here if you need me." He said. Tyler nodded slightly, already half asleep. "Love you." He managed to mumbled out. "I love you too." Josh whispered, kissing Tyler's forehead again.

A few days pass and they keep monitoring Tyler. Some days were good some were bad. Today was really bad though. He woke up with a migraine. It started off mild and he felt like he could handle it. He mentioned it briefly to Josh when he woke up but didnt say anything else about it for a while.

It kept getting worse though. "My head still hurts." Tyler whispered as he watched the tv. "Do you have a migrine?" Josh asked. Tyler nodded. "Is it better or worse then before?" Josh asked. "Worse." Tyler replied softly.

"Want me to get the nurse or something?" Josh asked. Tyler shrugged. "I'll try to wait a little longe to see if itll go away." He said. Josh nodded and rubbed Tyler's back.

Another little while passed and the pain was relatively the same. All of a sudden the pain got way worse though. It shot through his head and he whined softly. "You okay?" Josh asked. Tyler shook his head, wrapping his arms over his head and burying his face in Josh's side.

"Want me to get someone now?" Josh asked. Tyler nodded. His head felt like it was gonna explode and tears were starting to gather in his eyes. Josh got up quickly and ran out into the hall while Tyler buried his face in the pillow. Momma Dun sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his back gently.

When Josh returned dr. Dawson was with him. "Tyler?" Dr. dawson asked softly. Tyler made a soft noise but kept his face buried in the pillow. "Whats going on?" Dr. Dawson asked, pulling up a chair next to the bed.

Tyler mumbled his response into the pillow. "He has a migraine.. he gets them alot and they're always really bad." Josh said. DR. dawson nodded. "Okay.. I can give you some pain medication if you want." He said. Tyler nodded, sniffling softly.

Dr. Dawson nodded and stood up. "I'll be right back." He said befor beheading out into the hall. He returned with some medicine and made Tyler sit up. Tyler had tears running down his cheeks and his breaths were shaky when he sat up.

"Hey irs okay." Dr. Dawson said softly. He carefully handed Tyler the pain killers and gave him a glass of water. Tyler quickly took them before handing dr. Dawson the empty glass. He took a deep breath to steady himself.

"What do you usually do when you get these migraines?" Dr. Dawson asked. "Get stoned." Tyler whispered. Dr. Dawson wasnt really expecting that answer but nodded. "Okay... is that something youd wanna do right now?" He asked.

Tyler shrugged and sighed softly. "I'll wait to see if the medicine works first." He said. Dr. dawson nodded. "Alright I'll be back in a bit to check up on you and you can le tme know if you changed your mind." He said. Tyler nodded and cuddled up with Josh again.
