47. he doesnt remember

The family had sat in josh and Tyler's living room talking for a while before everyone else went back home. Tyler had learned that Josh came back to the house because he figured that the whole hospital thing had blown over by now.

Tyler felt relieved though. He no longer had to spend nights by himself and Josh wasnt mad at him. He josh and dix spent the rest of the day just relaxing. In the morning Josh had called to get the power turned back on, they wouldnt do it until he paid the bill so he had to do that first.

Once that was settled he called his boss and explained why he disappeared for like two and a half months. His boss is luckily very understanding and kind and told Josh he could have his old position back starting next week.

After all that was done Josh went upstairs to get dressed. Tyler followed him up after a few minutes with dix trailing behind him. "Where are you going?" He asked. "To get groceries. Are you coming?" Josh replied. "Uhm... no..n-no I'm okay I-ill just just stay here." Tyler said walking over to the bed and sitting down.

Josh looked at him. "You're acting weird. Why dont you wanna come?" He asked, tyler usually would come along. "...remember how I said I did something bad?" Tyler asked. Josh nodded. "Did you take the money from the grocery store?" Josh asked. Tyler shook his head.

"No I took the money from a corner store but... like the other thing that happened... the thing I dont remember, the one I almost got arrested for, it was at the grocery store." He replied. "Oh" josh whispered.

Tyler nodded with pursed lips. "Okay... well did you want me to take dix or did you want him to stay here with you?" Josh asked. "I dont really wanna be alone again." Tyler said. Josh nodded. "Okay he can stay here with-" Josh started but Tyler began talking again. "But I dont trust myself alone with him... I'm scared I'll do something bad if I'm left alone with him... I dont wanna hurt him again." tyler said.

Josh stared at him for a second before nodding. "Okay... he can come with me.... dis you wanna just come for the drive? You can stay in the car while we go inside." Josh said. Tyler bit his lip. "I dunno... I don't wanna get arrested." He said. "You wont get arrested." Josh said

"Promise?" Tyler asked with tears in his eyes. Josh frowned slightly at how scared Tyler looked. He knew Tyler was probably terrified even if he wasnt stating so. "Promise ty. You can just stay in the car and listen to music or something." Josh said. Tyler sniffled but nodded and stood up to hug Josh.

Josh hugged him back. "Hey, hey what's wrong?" He asked softly as Tyler started to fully cry agaisnt his shoulder. "M-sorry" tyler sobbed. Josh frowned again and hugged Tyler tighter. "For what why are you crying?" Josh asked. Dix was staring at them, not knowing why tyler had started crying either.

"M'sorry" tyler sniffled. "Shhh just talk to me tell me what's going on" josh said. "I-I for I'm sorry for -for hurting dix and-and for robbing the store and for whatever else I did I'm sorry." Tyler replied through his cries. "Shh it's okay. I forgive you" josh whispered, kissing the side of Tyler's head.

"Dix I'm sorry." Tyler sniffled. Dix made a soft confused noise at the mention of his name and tilted his head a bit as Tyler continued to cry. Josh rubbed Tyler's back gently as he tried to calm him down, shushing him softly and swaying slightly.

"Why dont you get dressed and we'll head out? I gotta make a few other stops besides the grocery store. I'll pick up some more marijuana and stuff for you and then when we get home you can get as stoned as you can be okay?" Josh asked. Tyler sniffled against his shoulder but nodded.

When he pulled back Josh wiped Tyler's tears for him and gave him a quick kiss. "You okay?" He asked. "I-I dont wanna go to jail Josh." Tyler whispered shakily. "You won't. Put some clothes on." Josh said. Tyler sniffled again but nodded and pulled away from Josh to get himself dressed.
