Honestly it felt great to be home.
My father and I video chatted every day before he had work and Xavier and I worked together to better myself.
I learned self defense, I learned how to control my emotions to the best of my abilities, and now I was home.
I unlocked the front door walking inside with Xavier right behind me. As he closed the door, the lights flicked on and out jumped my dad and two other familiar people.
"Surprise!" They shouted and my heart fell into my stomach.
What were they doing here? No, don't tell me she ...
"What's going on? Is she okay?" I asked suddenly feeling the tears fall down my face as I panicked.
They nodded and I sighed in relief falling to my knees.
Suddenly a pair of shoes were in front of me and I froze. It couldn't be, could it?
I looked up and met with a familiar pair of hazel eyes. It was her, she was really here.
I covered my mouth trying to mask the sobs but it was no use. She got onto her knees as well and pulled me into a hug.
"You're here, you're really here." I cried clutching onto her afraid that I'd wake up at any moment and she'd be gone.
"I'm so sorry." I continued to cry as she just rubbed my back.
Reina Montgomery, my best friend from elementary. We were inseparable and we did everything together.
That is until we had our biggest fight in middle school, I don't even remember what it was about but we argued.
It should've been me, she had stormed off but I was the one who should've stormed off not her. We were in her neighborhood and so I should've been the one.
It all happened so fast, a speeding car came out of nowhere and before I knew it Reina was being put in an ambulance and later I was told she was in a comatose state.
It should've been me, not her.
Finally pulling away, I smiled at her letting out a tearful laugh as I looked at her. Getting onto our feet, she checked me out playfully.
"Well damn Val, don't you look bad ass." She joked and I flipped my hair over my shoulder and waved it off.
"Oh stop it." We laughed and I just couldn't believe she was really here.
I looked to Xavier who was staring at her like a fish out of water, I could only smirk as I nudged him snapping him out of his daze.
"Well now that you're here, let's eat!" Reina cheered making us all laugh.
Yep, she's still Reina.
Heading back out, we went to three different places since we couldn't decide.
We went to Beto's, McDonald's, and Domino's. Hey what can I say we eat a lot, then again we've always been this way.
"We'll be in my room." I yelled out to my dad before we went upstairs into my room.
Setting up everything, I turned on Netflix and we all just caught up filling Reina in on everything.
All in all, I'm glad to have her back.

Waking up in the morning, I somehow woke up with Reina's head on my chest as we were cuddling last night, and Zav was cuddling her feet.
"Uhh." I honestly was lost for words, how this happened I just have no clue.
Reaching over to my nightstand but not enough to wake Reina up, I grabbed my phone and opened it to snapchat.
I quickly snapped a photo and smiled at it, before saving it and putting it onto my story.
Holding the button, I began to wake them up. "Aye! Wake up you lazy bums!"
They both jolted up and the out come was priceless, Reina kicked Zav in the face.
Thank god I got that on video because right after I started laughing until my sides hurt.
Reina glared at me, before tackling me which caused us to fall off the bed hitting the floor with a thud.
Someone was clapping and we froze, looking towards the door. "Hey guys."
I groaned in annoyance rolling my eyes and getting up. I plopped onto my bed and going onto my phone ignoring that he was here.
You're probably wonder what happened between us over the summer, right? Well on one of my friends snapchat, yes cliche but yeah, they recorded Luke and Lydia making out before stumbling into a room.
I'm not mad that he slept with someone, I'm pissed that it was Lydia of all people.
"Are you really not going to talk to me?" He asked sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Go away Luke." Instead of leaving, he took my phone from me. I glared at him, "I will when you talk to me."
I scoffed getting off my bed, "You want me to talk to you? Fine here's what I have to say. I'm not mad that you slept with someone, no I could careless, in fact I'm pissed that you were so drunk off your ass that you actually slept with Lydia of all fucking people."
He sighed running a hand through his hair, "Do you actually believe that I'd do that to you?"
I rolled my eyes, "The internet doesn't lie and nor does video proof."
"I didn't sleep with her, I ended up passing out and when I woke up the only thing that was off, was my shirt." He told me while taking my hands into his own.
I can trust him, right? But what if he's lying to me?
I groaned, "Fine. I believe you."
No you don't Valerie, but of course I wasn't going to admit it.
I didn't trust him and I don't why but I have a feeling he was lying to me.
He smiled pulling me into a hug before pulling away and looking at Reina.
"So let's catch up."
