× Third Person Point of View ×
While Valerie was trying to figure out what to do, things back at her house things were taking an ugly turn.
"This is your fault! You just had to overthink things, you couldn't wait till the end of dinner before you went and flipped out? You really are a son of a -"
Xavier was holding Luke by the collar up against the wall but Luke seemed unfazed by this.
"XAVIER! I taught you better." Cassie, his mother, scolded pulling him away from Luke.
But when that didn't work, Luke was beginning to lose his patience. "Xavier you better let me go."
Xavier didn't listen so Luke punched him which then resulted in the two getting into a fight in the middle of the room.
That is until Dave, Valerie's father, came and separated them. "Okay everyone calm the fuck down. This is no one's fault, I'm sure Valerie is fine."
Though he didn't believe a word he said, he was just as worried as them. His daughter was missing and they had no clue where she went.
"What are we going to do?" Issac asked, emerging from the kitchen with concern written all over his face.
He blames himself for Valerie not coming back, he shouldn't have left her but it was inevitable.
Dave began pacing the room, "She's probably at a friends house because of the rain and she'll come back in the morning."
Everyone agreed but there was still a lingering feeling of uncertainty.
"If she's not back in the morning, we'll have a look around and if she's still not back after 72 hours we'll file a missing persons report." Dave told everyone before heading upstairs.
Everyone shared a similar look, one that held fear. Fear that Valerie wouldn't come home, they feared for the worse and sleep was something they definitely weren't about to get.
Getting comfortable on the living room couches, they sat in silence waiting for her to return.
Suddenly the front door opened and they shot up hoping it to be Valerie only it was a soaking wet crying Reina.
"Reina? What are you doing here? Are you alright? What happened?" Xavier asked worried as he gave her a blanket to get warm.
She gave him a thankful smile, "Did anyone else get the text from Valerie?"
A confused look came upon everyone's face, fishing out their phones they saw that indeed they had a text from Valerie.
And the words on the screen was enough to have them all in total shock.
