As slowly as I possibly could, I attempted to open my eye but they felt as if something was holding them down.
Finally being able to see, I noticed that I was in a semi large room with another bed that was across the way.
I guess that means I'm sharing a room with somebody then?
My shoulder was nothing more than a dull ache, the pain was still there but the training I did with Xavier helped toughen me up some.
The thoughts of my family and friends left as soon as they came. I couldn't think about them now, I didn't have the time nor energy to do so.
I patted my pockets and sighed in relief feeling my mothers letter still there. Taking it out, I set it underneath my pillow so I didn't lose it.
Getting out of the bed, I walked over to the first door that I saw. I knocked on it before opening the door only to face palm when I realized it was a closet.
Jeez, I really do need some more sleep.
"The bathrooms over there, just if you're wondering." Who, what, where and why?
I quickly turned around and lets just say I saw a god with a towel wrapped around his waist.
Don't get me wrong there are many attractive people in this world like really attractive, but this guy right here in front of me was just a pure god.
Well I mean comparing him to the guy I met at Starbucks, what was his name again? Ethan? Eli- Elijah!
Comparing him to Elijah, well let's just say Elijah would win hands down.
But we all know those moments when we see or meet someone really hot but we know we're never going to see them again.
Yep that's how it was with Elijah and I.
I was never going to run into him again because come on we all know the world really isn't that small.
Right, back on track.
There was still water droplets on the guys chest and I was shamelessly checking him out. He cleared his throat and I snapped my gaze away from his chest and to his own awaiting gaze to which it held a smug look.
"Oh you know, I'm just trying to see if the homie Aslan would let me into Narnia." I tried to coolly explain as I leaned against the doorway.
He didn't seem to believe me but he laughed anyways. "Well it looks like I'm your roommate. My names Nathan Carlisle. What's your name?"
Us roommates? How in the world do they think this is appropriate? "Uhh I'm Valerie Costalona."
The smile on his face fell as he frowned. "Costalona?" I nodded confused as to why his mood suddenly changed. "Yeah."
Before he could say anything, I gave him a small shower and entered the bathroom, locking the door behind me as I did.
I let out a tired sigh before carefully stripping and making sure to dispose of my shoulder bandage before entering.
I finished in a sufficient amount of time, stepping out I tightly wrapped a towel around my body before placing a new bandage on my shoulder.
I looked out into the room and sighed in relief that the room was empty. I walked out back towards the closet and began to search for some clothes.
Quickly finding some in my size, I got dressed and walked back into the bathroom.
My mouth fell open as I nearly screamed at the sight of myself, jesus I look bad no I look terrible.
There was bags under my eyes and my face was paler than usual. I slashed some water over my face before looking for a toothbrush.
Finally finding one, I brushed my teeth several times before I decided they were clean and used the mouth wash.
Now makeup.
Oh who am I kidding? I didn't care how I looked to be honest and it wasn't like there was anyone I needed to impress.
So why bother?
Taking a deep breathe I opened the door and walked down the stairs towards the direction of where loud laughter was coming from.
Laughter echoed through the house and I'm surprised that I hadn't heard it while I was in my room.
When I reached where it was coming from, I noticed it was the kitchen which looked like a complete and utter mess by the way.
I noticed a group of people sitting at the table laughing with one another, following their eyes I quickly covered my mouth and held back the need to laugh.
Nathan and some girl were trying to cook, but were terribly failing. There was eggs on the floor, flour in their hair, spills of milk and it was an overall disaster.
As if sensing my presence, everyone stopped laughing, their gazes all falling onto me.
Why do I feel like I just walked into something personal? Like as if I was the one intruding? Then again, if you think about it ... I really am intruding.
Looking at everyone, my eyes fell upon a familiar pair of eyes causing me to freeze.
No fucking way.
"You!" We both exclaimed pointing at one another.
"Oh hell no, fuck." I cursed turning around and walked out of the kitchen fully aware of him following me.
Is this really happening? Nope, this cannot really be happening, can it?
God, the world really is that small.
