Callums pov
I sit next to Rayla. She is in a bed in the castle, Ez refused to see her in a normal infirmary bed, now the castles best doctors looking after her. She must have really ticked off that banther, she was in a right state when the scouts found her, a broken leg and arm with multiple gashes were going to serve as long standing reminders for her. The minor concussion is what really made me worry. They've put her in a big room for recovery, it's very nice with multiple Windows, even though the have all been coverd with curtains and drapes sunlight peeks out from the cracks in the curtains. She has a huge bed that has a purple and gold sheet and you can pull drapes around it for privacy. My aunt and used to use this room when she would visit. Now she and her wife use it. There is a fire place that was recently put out due to Rayla sweating excessively. Rayla moans feverishly. I tentatively make my way over to her. she starts to shiver. "Shh it's ok, I'm here." I start to reassure her. I brush the hair off her head lightly and make my way to the fire place, messing around with the remains of the fire trying to get it started again. The door opens with a crash
"sir she needs to rest!" One of the nurses says
"YOU WILL NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO,YOU WILL LET ME SEE HER!!!" I spin my head around quickly at the sound of the familiar voice. Runnan never could enter a room, or castle for the matter, quietly.
"Sir please she can't have any interference with her recovery" nurse says opening the door to the room revealing her " you can look from here but that's all I can allow.."
"IM NOT INTERFERING, AND LOOKING "FROM HERE" IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!"
"Sir please keep your voice down" the nurse says blocking the way in the room.
"LET ME SEE MY DAUGHTER!"
His voice cracks with that last statement. The nurse bows and walks away knowing there is no way she will win this. Runnan walks over to Rayla quickly.
"The best doctors are working on her." I say
Runnan must not have seen me because he whips out his bow and arrows and scans the room. I stepped in to his view with my hands in the air.
"The doctors say she will live." I say, he lowers his weapons and his posture sinks Down a few inches.
"I can't lose her, I just can't." He says a single tear running Down his face. And with that the almighty Runnan started to cry.
