Chapter 8

AN: Wassup!! I am sorry for the lake of updating

Zari's POV

I see Lana run out of the room and she looked like she was sad and in pain so I follow her.

I find her in the engine room against a wall crying quietly.

I take a step toward her and her head snaps up. Her eyes were red and puffy and her cheeks are tear stained.

Lana- Wh-What...

I just run up and hug her and hold her.

Zari- You okay hun?

Lana- No everything hurts. 

I see her grab her chest and squeezes hard while the tears start coming faster. 

I hug her tighter trying to take some of the pain away from my niece's best friend. 

Zari- Hey hey, try to take breaths, 

I start rubbing her back. A second later Lena walks in and gasps at the sight of her daughter and runs over to where we are sitting. 

Lena growls at me and says 'What did you do to my daughter?'  

Lana though her tears says, 'It wasn't her...' 

Lena turned to me and said 'What happened?

Zari- After Dani started' I pause looking at the girl in tears in my arms and say 'to be in a ton of pain, Lana looked like she was about to cry and ran out. I followed worried about her and found her here crying hard, that's how we got to this point'

Lana was still crying but it was a lot less and her breathing was shallow and she shuddered every couple breathes. 

It takes a couple of minutes of both of us rubbing Lana's back and telling her to breathe for her to calm down and start breathing at a somewhat regular pace. 

Lana- Mama why does everything hurt... 

Lena- What hurts baby

Lana- It feels like this massive weight is on my chest and my stomach is in knots and it feels like my world is falling apart and I can't breathe. She says finishing with a sob restarting her tears. 

Lena hugged her daughter close as she says 'Fuck...' quietly then she yells, 'KARA!!!' 

In a second Kara was at the entrance to the room. 

Kara- What's u- 

She doesn't get too finish because she sees her daughter and is quickly sitting in front of her. 

Both mothers looked very worried about their daughter. 

Kara- Hun are you okay?

Lena- Kara it's happening,

Kara- Fudge nugets... 

Zari- What is happening?

Lena- We will explain soon, 

Kara- When did the pain start?

Zari- When Dani started- 

Kara- Of course! How did we not see it before? 

Lena- She needs to be closer to Dani it will help lessen both of their pain. 

Kara- I will get her their now. 

Kara picks up her daughter who is shaking slightly and whimpering quietly and uses her superspeed to get away from Lena and I

Lena stands and starts to move away but I grab her hand and say 'What's going on!?' 

'Dani and Lana are soulmates' Lena says before wrenching her hand out of mine and runs toward where her wife and daughter left the room. 

Zari- What the fuck!? 

Sara's POV

Kara runs in with Lana in her arms and sets her in the chair next to Dani who had still been squirming slightly from the pain. 

Ava- What is wrong with Lana?

Lana had tear stains on her cheek and was breathing hard. 

I glance at my daughter and see her breathing even out slightly and then glance at the other teenager and see her breathing calm down slightly also. 

Lena runs in with Zari hot on her tail. 

Lena- Is she doing better?

Sara- What is going on?

Lena- Just give us a minute to make sure the girls are okay

I nod at her. 

Kara- Gideon scan Dani again, 

Gideon- Of course,' It takes a second but she responds, 'Miss Lance, heart rate has lowered to a normal rate and her analgesic is being less relied upon.' 

Ava- English Gideon

Gideon- In other words, her pain has lessened greatly since Miss Danvers- Luthor entered the room

Sara- How is that even possible?

Kara- They are soulmates. 

Everyone- WHAT??!!!

Ava- Explain. Now. 

Lena- Kryptonians have soulmates. I am Kara's...

Alex- Ohhhh...' Alex seems to understand what was going on but the rest of us were still very confused.

Kara- And Dani is Lana's, 

Sara- Say what now?

Lena- We didn't think Lana would have a soulmate because she is only half Kryptonian. We never her told her because she didn't show any real interest in anyone. 

Alex- Oh like you two never showed interest in each other

Kara- Look the point is Lana felt physical and emotional pain when Dani was in pain and that is one of the tells for finding your soulmate. When Lena and I were younger I got injured really badly during and almost died while I was Supergirl. 

Lena- I felt that she was injured and ran to Alex. This was also how I told them I knew Kara was Supergirl. I demanded to see her and Alex didn't dare prevent me from seeing her. When I finally saw her I felt myself physically break at the sight. And I realized exactly what my feelings for Kara where and are. 

Kara- When I finally woke up and saw Lena, she kissed me before I could say anything and I had known she was the love of my life and my soulmate for a while at that point and so after Lena calmed down and I explained why I didn't tell her my real identity, I explained that we were soulmates and if she wanted I would love to date her. 

Lena- I, of course, agreed because I loved her. We had discussed the possibility that our kids may have soulmates but Max hasn't found his yet so we just thought they didn't have one. 

Zari- Until Lana broke down because Dani was in pain... 

Zari says understanding the whole picture. 

Sara- So our daughters are soulmates?

We are what now? Dani says with a groan as she sits up. 

Lana wakes up a couple of seconds later with her own groan. 

Dani looks really worried but can't seem to move. Dani didn't seem to notice her best friend next to her before she groaned only being awake for a couple of seconds. 

Lana sits up turns to see her best friend and quickly stands and runs over and gives her a big hug. 

I don't think we are supposed to hear her whisper, 'Never do that to me again,'

Dani smiles weakly and says 'I will try my best,' She turns to us adults and says 'Now what is this about soulmates?'
