Chapter 11

Everyone leaves the room and goes to their respective houses or homes.

Dani hangs back for a second and turns to me.

She leans down and kisses my cheek and says 'Please text me, I think this may be crazy...'

Lana- Of course. I am always here. 

Back at the Lancers House

Dani's POV

Mom and Mama walk into the kitchen as Laurel and I wait in the living room.

Laurel- Do you really think Mom is an assassin and Mama is a clone from the future?

Dani- I honestly don't know sissy, but they are still our parents

I say with a nod and Laurel continues saying, 'And we will love them no matter what' 

I nod in agreement. 

Mom and Mama walk in with four mugs handing us two mugs, mine had whipped cream and Laurel's had a tea bag hanging out of it. 

Ava- Where do we start?

Laurel- Why don't you start with the fact that Dani and I are half clone.

Dani- Yah what's the deal with that?

Ava- I honestly didn't know for the longest time, I had fake memories of a fake childhood and everything was really confusing for a long time. I still haven't really come to terms with it or found out the full story, but being with your mom and having you girls makes me not care because I am my own independent self. 

Laurel- Okay, I am happy that you are okay. We are here if you ever want to talk. We are your daughters after all and we will love you no matter what. 

Laurel says while giving them a warm smile. I nod in agreement when my Mama looks at me as if she was scared I was gonna hate her. 

Dani- Laurel is right, we will always be here for you two no matter what because you have always been there for us. 

Sara- Have we told you recently you girls are the best daughters anyone could ask for

We just pull them into a hug and when we sit back down I say, 'So mom... you were an assassin?'

Mom sighs and says 'Yes I was. I never really wanted you to find out about my past because it is dark and not the most pleasant.' 

Laurel- Mom nothing that happened in your past will change how we see you because it made you into the wonderful caring wife and mom you are today.'

Dani- when and IF you are ready, you can tell us what happened

Mom- You girls deserve to know...

Laurel- Mom you-

Mom- I do. Do you guys remember Uncle Ollie?' Laurel and I nod. He stops by for lunch every once in a while. 'Well, a long time ago he used to date my sister.'

Laurel- As in the person I am named after...' Mom nods, 'and our aunt, who you never talk about.' 

Mom-Yes

Dani- You never really told us anything about her, just that she was brave, strong, defended those who are hopeless and lost. And that she passed away protecting those she cared about. 

Mom- I prefer not too just because I miss her every day. She was the best person you could ever meet. She was caring, compassionate, fiery, and wanted to protect any and all people who needed it. 

Laurel- She sounds amazing...

I see my twin look at the mug in her hands with a frown. I reach over and squeeze her hand as Mom says 'She was, I wasn't.' 

Dani- What do you mean?'

Sara- When we were younger I loved Ollie and he was dating Laurel but he was a playboy, so being the stupid person I was I slept with Ollie behind my sisters back.' Laurel and I gasp and our mom continues 'Yep, it was the worst decision I ever made and I regret it every day.' Mama squeezes her shoulder. 'You see Ollie was going on a trip with his dad. Laurel couldn't go and didn't know that I was gonna go behind her back and go with him.' 

Laurel- Is that were you got all the scars from?

Mom's head snaps up and her eyes widen and she looks scared shit less.

Mom- How did you know?

Dani- A couple of years ago Laurel walked into your room while you were getting changed after a shower. She saw your back and got worried and took a photo to show me to see if I knew what happened. I didn't, and you never brought it up so we didn't bring it up. We thought it wasn't important because of that. 

Mom sighs and says 'They are important but in a different way. You see on that trip our ship got stuck in a storm and sank.' 

Laurel- You were in a shipwreck?

Mom-Yes. I got picked up by a ship and I was forced to either die of hunger and or other things or train with the league of assassins. I did some really horrible things to survive and everyone thought I was dead including my sister and my parents.'

Dani- Really?

Mom- Yah they thought Ollie and I were both dead. I came back though and started being a vigilante with Ollie who years ago was the green arrow. 

Laurel- Cool...

Mom- Yep. It was until I died. 

Dani- Say what now?

Mom-Didn't I tell you earlier? Yah I got killed and was dead for a while. I got brought back and dealt with some dark stuff. It was really bad until I meet the Legends. Well and of course my sister helped a lot also but it was in a different way. The legends became my family in a way that no one else had in my life. When we came back after months of time travel we were supposed to come back the same day we left but we came home three months later. And it was because Laurel was killed in that time and I could have broken the timeline. Trust me that is not good.  

Mama shuddered and nodded in agreement. 

Dani- So you are a time traveling badass assassin who died and came back and raised two kids while holding a steady healthy relationship with her amazing girlfriend then fiance then wife. Damn, that's awesome.
