Chapter 10

We only pull away slightly and her forehead is still resting against me.

She is breathing hard and it takes her another minute to catch her breath before she says 'What was that for?'

Dani- Well you did say you wanted me to kiss you and take your breath away. Did it work?

Lana laughed at me and says 'Perfectly.'

Before giving me a light peck. 

I am pretty sure I have a permanent smile on my face. 

Dani- Okay I think our parents are going to get worried about us. We should go tell them we are okay. 

My legs seem to have regained their strength so I stand up and start to walk to the exit of the medical area that I was in. 

Before I can exit Lana grabs my arm and spins me around before saying 'What are we going to tell them?'

Dani- What do you mean?

 She is shorter than me by several inches so she has to stand on her tip toes as she reaches for my neck and pulls me into a world-shattering kiss. 

After what feels like the best forever of my life, she pulls away but keeps her forehead resting against mine. 

It takes us a minute to catch our breath and I am speechless still when she says, 'What do we tell them we are' She says while pointing toward herself and then me. 

Dani- After you did that to me if you don't agree to be my girlfriend, then I really can't read signals at all. 

Lana laughs and says 'Of course I will be your girlfriend you dork,' while pecking me lightly and moving toward the door of the room.

We walk out of the room and find Zari eating a bowl of cereal by the main computer with Charlie standing next to her doing some card tricks. Mama and Laurel were pacing back and forth in mom's office thingy while Mom sat in a chair with a drink. 

Kara had Lena's head in her lap as she stroked her hair. 

Zatanna was doing something with a weird black top hat with Amaya watching next to her. 

Everyone seems very tense and doesn't notice us at first. 

Laurel is the first to notice us and says 'Hey! How are you guys doing? Everything all good?' 

Laurel gave me a worried look but I just gave her a 'Don't worry' look. 

She seems to understand and relaxes slightly. 

Mama, Laurel, and Mom walked out of the office and had gathered near us with all the others close behind them. 

Sara- So are you guys okay?

Lana's POV

Dani looks a little uncomfortable with all the attention so I move closer to her and slip my hand into hers and give her a reassuring squeeze. 

I turn to our friends and family and say 'We are great.' 

Lena- I am sorry we didn't tell you about the soulmate thing

Dani- Ah don't worry about it, I am just glad it worked out and we are happy now so all is good. 

'All is fair in love, war, and sexual, politics.' Kara says with a laugh

Zatanna-What the hell? 

Ava- There is no war or sexual politics

Kara laughs again and says 'It is from an old school comedy that I used to love when I was younger. It is called A servant of two masters and that line is in there in a funny scene.' 

I laugh at my mom and say 'Of course it is from a play. You love plays and musicals way too much.' 

Dani- Yes, Okay now that all of that craziness is over can we go home I am tired. As long as no one has any other bombs to drop on us let's go. 

I see Ava and Sara exchange a glance and Laurel seems to notice also. 

Laurel- Mom's what was that?

Sara- Hmm? What oh it was nothing. 

Dani- Mom if you have something to say say it now. At this point, I don't think anything will surprise us. 

Ava- Umm well... You see the thing is...

Sara- I may or may not have been an assassin when I was younger

Ava- And I may or may not be a clone from the future

The two twins are shocked as I say 'Say what now?' 

Laurel- You are a CLONE Mama and Mom you are an ASSASSIN !!!?? 

Sara- Former assassin but yes, some crazy things happened when I was younger... 

Ava- Let's go home and we will explain everything

Everyone leaves the room and goes too their respective houses or homes. 

Dani hangs back for a second and turns to me. 

She leans down and kisses my cheek and says 'Please text me, I think this maybe crazy...'

Lana- Of course. I am always here.
