Chapter 2

AN: Enjoy

The bell rings and I walk out in front of the school to see Lana standing around with Laurel, Fey, Dick, Conner, Cassie, Ellie, and a girl I don't recognize.  

Dani- Hey people, 

Ellie- Hey Dani, we are all heading over to the Pizza place on fourth, you in for a slice?

Dani- Sounds fun. Who is she?

Laurel laughed at my bluntness and says 'This is Sally, she just moved into town and I have a couple of classes with her so I invited her to pizza with us, so she can make more friends' 

Dick- I sometimes question how you two are twins and yet so different. 

Fey- They are different but they have similar moments

Dani- Okay whatever I am hungry let's go, nice to meet you, Sally. 

She smiles at me and we all start walking toward the parlor. 

We get about halfway there when a black SUV pulls up next to us and stops. 

Conner goes on edge and I do also. 

I relax when I see who it is. 

Lana- Hey mom! What are you doing here?

Kara- I was going to meet your Mama, Alex, Maggie, Diana, and Nia for lunch at a pizza place when I saw you guys walking. 

Laurel- We are going there also do you mind if we join you?

Kara- Of course not! Give me one second. 

Kara walks back to the card and says 'I am going to walk the rest of the way Gideon thank you for your help.' 

Gideon- Of course, Ma'am say hi to the Missus for me. 

Kara nods and shuts the door. 

Kara- Okay kids let's go! Who is this by the way?

Sally- Oh sorry ma'am I am Sally I just moved here.

'Nice to meet you I am Kara Danvers-Luthor. ' Kara says while shaking the girl's hand. 

The poor girl's eyes widen and she looks completely star struck as she says 'Wait you are Kara Danvers-Luthor, as in the Kara Danvers-Luthor the CEO of CATCO worldwide media and married to badass CEO of L-corp Lena Luthor. On top of winning a Politzer prize for all her work on alien rights. That Kara Danvers-Luthor?

We all start dying of laughter as Kara says 'Yes but please call me Kara, no need for the Danvers-Luthor.' 

Dick- Fangirl much

Sally rubs the back of her neck as she says 'Sorry, I have wanted to work at CATCO for the longest time and I am pretty sure I have read all of Kara's articles.' 

Lana-Well glad you like my mom's work but let's hurry I want food. 

'You did get my appetite' Kara says with a laugh.

It takes another couple of minutes to reach the pizza place. 

We walk into the somewhat crowded pizza place. It takes us a couple of seconds to spot the 5 women sitting around talking. 

Lana runs up and hugs her mama from behind as we all walk to the table. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Conner hug Kara when he thinks no one is looking. 

He really isn't one for emotions but he was a big softie. 

Lena- Hey kiddos how is everyone,

Cassie- We are good aunty Lena, 

Sally-are you guys all related?

Kara- 'No but a lot of us are, Conner is my nephew, Lana is my daughter, Alex is my sister, Maggie is my sister in law, Diana and I aren't related but we are practically family because we grew up together, so Cassie is our niece also'. Kara said with a laugh. 

Nia- We also all go back before we were married and old

Diana- Don't remind me, Diana said while kissing her wife on the cheek. 

Alex- Our 'Family' is very large, with the lancer family, the queens, the Tomass, the Danvers, the Danvers-Luthors, the Nal-Washington, and... who am I forgetting?

Maggie- The Wayne's, the Zatara's, the West-Allen's, 

Lana- We get the point, Aunt Maggie you can stop

Sally- Jezz that is a big family, how do you guys stay connected?

Laurel- Most of us go to school together

Nia- And parents get lunch or dinner together, I think Mic is throwing a huge barbeque this weekend...

The waiter interrupts our conversation saying 'You guys ready to order?' 

Kara- Yes, why don't we have 3 large pizzas, one veggie, one plain cheese, and the last one pepperoni. please. 

Waiter- Of course, it will be out soon. 

He walks away and a little girl, probably 8 or 9, walks up to Lena and tugs on her shirt. 

The green-eyed mother looks down at the little girl with sparkling blue eyes. 

Little girl- Are you Lena Luthor?

Lena- Yes I am, 

Little girl- MOM! It is her!' She turns back to Lena, 'Would you mind taking a photo with me? You are practically a celebrity!' 

Lena chuckles and nods. 

Kara's POV

The little girl had been so awestruck by Lena that she hadn't looked at the rest of us. 

I ask 'What's your name, little girl?'

Taylor- I am Taylor!

'Well I'll be damned if it isn't Kara Danvers in the flesh' I look up to see Cade Cain and Thea Queen standing behind the little girl. 

Taylor- Wait! You are Kara Danvers! Can you be in the photo also?

Lana- Mom you know them?

Kara- Yah this is your Uncle Ollie's little sister Thea and an old friend of mine Cade Cain, she is Bruce's cousin. 

Cade- It is actually Cade Queen now. I lost a bet and had to take this dork's last name. 

Alex- How long have you guys been married?

Thea hugs me and says 'Ten years in a month' 

Kara- Wow! That's awesome! 

Cade- How 'bout you? You finally grow a pair and ask that Luthor out?

Conner tries to hold back a laugh as Lana starts cracking up. 

I glare at my daughter as she says 'Yes she did grow a pair.'

Cade- Who, may I ask, are you?

Lana- Nice to meet you, I am Lana Danvers-Luthor, Kara and 'that Luthors' daughter. 

Cade's jaw is dropped and Thea just laughs at her wife. 

Thea- Congrats you have a great kid. 

Lana- You know it

Taylor- MOM!!! Can you take the photo, please! 

Thea- Of course. She pulls out her phone as Lena picks up the little girl. 

Thea was about to take the photo when Taylor says 'WAIT! Kara isn't in!' 

I laugh and walk over toward the kid and my wife and stand behind them. 

Thea snaps the photo. 

Taylor- Let me see!

She grabs the phone and looks at the photo with a beaming smile.
