Chapter 9

Dani looks really worried but can't seem to move. Dani didn't seem to notice her best friend next to her before she groaned only being awake for a couple of seconds.

Lana sits up turns to see her best friend and quickly stands and runs over and gives her a big hug.

I don't think we are supposed to hear her whisper, 'Never do that to me again,'

Dani's POV

I smile weakly and says 'I will try my best,' She turns to us adults and says 'Now what is this about soulmates?'

Kara- Ummm

Lena- Lana do you remember when you and your brother were younger and we always told you that Kara and I were soulmates. 

Lana- Yah I loved hearing your guys love story, still do. 

Kara- Well what we didn't tell you is that we are actual soulmates

Lana- How is that even possible. 

'Kryptonians have soulmates it is just part of our genetics, I didn't pay much attention during 5th-grade physiology, I was a little more advanced than most children my age,' Kara says with a chuckle.

Lana- I am half Kryptonian, so...

Dani- Lana may have a soulmate,

Zari- Correction she does have a soulmate

I don't realize that my smile fell slightly when Zari said that until Charlie that gave me a reassuring smile and mouthed 'Wait and see'

Lena turns to me and says 'You are her soulmate,' 

We both gasp and I say 'Lana is- is my...' 

Lana- Soulmate?

Alex- Yes but soulmate has many meanings you don't necessarily have to date and get married in the future it is up to you guys for what you want to do. 

Dani- Wow, this is a lot to take in...

Zari- It is why don't we get out of your hair and let you guys talk about it. 

Ava- Only if you want the time

I smile at my mama and say 'I will be okay Mama, don't worry.'

My mom nods and grabs Mama's arm before leading her and the others out of the room. 

I try and stand out of the chair but it hurts my leg so I groan and start to fall over. Lana catches me and sets me back down on the chair as she says 'Hey... Don't go so fast you were just in a ton of pain,'

I smile at her and give her a nod of thanks. 

Lana- So... we are soulmates

Dani- We are. Look I know I am not perfect, and I currently have an alien connected to me. 

Blue- She is our soulmate. I support whatever choice you choose to make. 

Dani- Thank you Blue you are the best. 

Lana- That doesn't matter too me. 

Dani- Still I am a lot to deal with and I totally get it if you don't want to be my girl-' Before I could finish Lana grabbed my face and kissed me. It was short but completely mind shattering. 'Well okay then...'

Lana- Of course I want to be your girlfriend you dork I have been trying to get you to realize I had feelings for you even before I realized I had feelings for you. 

Dani- What do you mean?

Lana- 'Well I would always be near you and make unnecessary physical contact in the subconscious hope that you would kiss me and take my breath away, but I would never admit to my self that I was dying to kiss and hold you and call you mine because I was a coward and scared. I always played it off as 'Platonic feelings'  It was very stupid of me.' She says with a laugh she starts to say 'So you want to-' Before she can say anything else. I grab her by her hips and pull her into my lap as I kiss her hard. It feels like it lasted forever but it only really lasted a minute or two. 

We only pull away slightly and her forehead is still resting against me. 

She is breathing hard and it takes her another minute to catch her breath before she says 'What was that for?'

Dani- Well you did say you wanted me to kiss you and take your breath away. Did it work?

Lana laughed at me and says 'Perfectly.' 

Before giving me a light peck.
