Kara's POV
It was a long day at the office but it was better because I got lunch with Lena. She seemed really excited about the new intern she was getting.
After that, the day goes by slowly after that. I leave work early so I can get home to cook for the dinner we are having tonight.
Lana comes come from school and she helps me cook and set the table.
Lana- Mom I am going to go shower and change I will be down in a little!
Lana walks away and I say 'Don't change honey, I love you just the way you are!'
I hear my daughter groan at my terrible dad joke. Lena arrives home a second later and I feel arms wrap around me.
Lena- Hey Hun how was your day?
'Stressful but it is getting better' I say as I turn my head to kiss her on the cheek. I turn in her arms and kiss her on the lips this time. 'I have to go shower would you mind watching the food?'
Lena- Of course.
Lena's POV
My wife walks away and up the stairs of our farmhouse.
It doesn't take much effort to watch the food Kara made. She did all of the work.
At the beginning of our relationship, Kara couldn't cook to save her life and she even almost burned down our house once or twice. It took 2 years of cooking classes and a private cook tutor for Kara to be even slightly trustworthy in the kitchen.
Now she is a great chef and I love when she cooks for us.
Everyone is showing up in 2 hours, it is 4 pm right now, so I have plenty of time to shower and change out of work clothing after Kara.
Alex, Maggie, and Kelly are going to be showing up a little earlier just for fun.
I take a seat at our island and answer some emails while I have time on my hands.
About 10 minutes later Lana comes running down the stairs.

She was wearing a beautiful sundress with her hair in a bun and her glasses on.
With her glasses on, she looks like Kara with my hair and eye color.
I smile at my daughter and say 'You look wonderful honey, you excited for tonight.'
Lana- Yeah its gonna be fun. The kids are really cool and nice so I bet the parents are going to be cool also.
Lena- Yah I meet one of them, Morgan Stark is my new scientific intern
