Chapter 29

AN: Sorry it has been a hot sec since I updated! I hope you enjoy! I am sorry if I messed up any character descriptions personality stuff. It has been so long I kinda forgot. And this is going to be a short chapter sorry.

Lana's POV

Kara drove us rather quickly to the waverider. 

I see all of my family, friends, their parents, Dani's aunts and uncles, the new Super hero's from New York, and someone I didn't recognize but was wearing a similar suit to Laurel's green lantern get up. 

They all had concerned looks on their faces as we park and get out of the car. 

My Gorgeous girlfriend is waiting just outside of my door. She pulls me into a bone crushing hug as she pecks my check. 

My mama (Lena) steps forward into the middle of the group and says 'Okay now that everyone is here we have some research material, Zatara, and a green lantern to teach us everything they know about who we are facing so let's go inside and get started.' 

We all pile into the ship. 

After two hours of explaining my brain was starting to hurt. These guys are some tough mother fuckers and it is going to be hard to beat them. 

I mean we aren't even close to finding their weakness. The only thing we may have is numbers but we might not even have that because we have no idea how to know how many of them there are. 

The verbal explanation is over right now and we are all buried in different stacks of books in the bridge as we research with the help of Gideon and someone named J.A.R.V.I.S that Tony created. 

Laurel's POV

I am sitting against a wall at the moment and I keep seeing my friends giving me weird glances but I just chalk it up to me over analyzing everything. 

I turn the page of the book I was reading when I hear a slight wine from below me. 

I glance down to where Ver's had had her head resting in my lap for the last two hours. 

I playfully roll my eyes and return to playing with her hair. 

She let's out a content sigh but the peace doesn't last long. 

There is deafening static that spreads throughout the whole ship. 

I flinch and cover my ears to try and block it. I feel Ver's quickly leave my lap as she sits up and brings my head into her chest to try and help block out the sound. 

It takes ten seconds for the sound to slowly quiet. 

Once it is just a light buzzing I lift my head and look around. Everyone was in similar positions, either just standing up and moving toward the two AI's to see what's wrong or just uncovering their ears. 

My eyes widen quickly and I look to see a blue shield around where my sister had been sitting with Lana. 

I quickly run over and say 'Blue! Let them out the sound is gone!' 

Slowly the bubble disappears and I find my twin cradling her soulmate into her chest. 

She smiles at me and says 'She is okay. Just disoriented from the noise.'

I jump a little when Vers says 'That's good.' from right behind me. 

I blush and quickly move away from her and toward Gideon whose face appeared next to a face that Tony had quickly made for JARVIS. 

She was glancing around making sure everyone was okay as she says 'Apologies everyone-' 

She didn't finish because more crackling came but much quieter this time but she turned red before disappearing. 

An image of a red castle area appears with a skinny male figure close to the screen tapping on it saying 'Is this thing working?'

He backs away slightly and seems to see us as he says 'Ahhh yes, there are those pesky hero's.' 

Steve steps forward and says 'What do you want?' 

A wicked smirk spreads across his face as he says 'Oh I just wanted to offer you a deal. Since yesterday my friend forgot to bring it up.' 

Ver's POV

Carol stepped next to Steve and said 'What's the deal?' 

The smirk turned into a sinister smile as he says 'Well we will leave your planet alone if you hand over both green lanterns from this sector. Do that and no one on your planet will be hurt. You have until two Friday's from now. Bring them to Universal Studios at Midnight. If you are not there we will invade your planet and destroy everyone and everything you hold near and dear'

Then the screen was blank. 

I turn to Laurel. I see the gears turning in her head. I grab her arm and turn her to face me as I say 'We are not taking that deal'

Laurel looks pissed at the statement as she snaps 'What? Why not?' 

Anger rises in my chest as I say 'Because it involves sacrificing you!' 

Laurel gestures where the photo was as she says 'You don't know that they will kill me! Maybe they just want to talk!'

What the fuck is going on in this girls brain!

I gesture to where Gideon had reformed with Jarvis as I say 'They just threatened to destroy everything that we love I don't think they are going to give you the five star treatment!' 

She starts to argue 'But-' 

but gets cut off by Gideon saying 'Miss Danvers is correct the likely hood that you and Mr. Jordan survive if you take the deal is .0000001% taking into consideration past threats and the research we have done' 

Wow that is a small number I think as I say 'EXACTLY!' 

She pokes a finger into my chest repeatedly as she says 'I am doing this. Whether you like it or not. So either help me try and survive this or watch me die. It's your choice.' before storming out. 

I was about to run out after her but a hand catches me I turn and see Dani. I growl at her and shove her back slightly as I say 'How are you not stopping her right now!? She is going to get herself killed!' 

Dani looks at the ground as she says 'I know my sister and how stubborn she can be. I am the same way. There is no way we are going to change her mind. But we can change is how we handle it. This deal is the perfect opportunity to set a trap for those assholes' she makes eye contact and I see tears swimming in her eyes. I quickly realize she is very scared for her sister, but she is also right. 

I close my eyes and look at the ceiling before cursing in the little bit of Kree and little bit of Asgardian my parents taught me (alien languages are in italics when they happen but that isn't often) 'Stupid freaking stubborn, Martyr complex mother fucking amazing girl is going to be the fucking death of me.' 

My mother's and the rest of the group snap out of their shocked trance as I walk out to go find Laurel as my mom yells 'Language!'
