"Lonicka, I promise you that my brother will not know."

"I still don't trust you Dominik." I shook my head at his proposal. He tried to convince me to leave the house but I was skeptical because Pierre was too busy to smuggle me out.

"I won't tell him, if you won't." He said innocently.

I needed to get out of the house while Marco was still incapacitated. It was a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' to go out without anyone noticing I'm gone because they're too busy guarding Marco and Naledi.

"I need to take Naledi with."

"You have to leave her here. She'll be safe."

"No Dominik. She will not leave my sight." I said firmly. She had already gone through a lot without me there for her.

"She has to if you want to carry out your plan. She'll be safe here not out there." He was right. Even though there weren't a lot of men guarding the manor, she was safer under Pierre's watch than where I was going.

"Fine, let's go. Make sure that we're not being followed." I said as I went out to the garden.

I walked to the end of the garden and looked around to see if I was being watched before I crouched down on the grass. I crawled to a small opening covered by shrubs and hobbled my way through. A BMW waited for me on other side of the hole.

"This is quite ridiculous." Dominik said.

"What do you mean?" I asked innocently as I took off my guard uniform.

"Pierre went around the street and waited for you at the end of the estate while you crawled out of a tiny hole in his men's uniform?" Dominik asked.

"Yes. Sometimes I would act like I'm patrolling the back gate and use it. The point is, I shouldn't be seen." I said as I fixed myself.

"Why didn't you use the back gate today?" He asked in curiosity.

I looked at him incredulously. "Pierre didn't tip the other guards off about me and he wasn't watching out for me nor keeping Marco occupied enough for me to leave."

He nodded in understanding. "That makes more sense than crawling out of a hole."

"Would you drive faster. We don't have all day." I said dismissively.

We sat in silence for the rest of the ride which gave me time to think about my plans. I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted to do it however I knew I needed to do it, for Naledi.

"Remember you only have an hour until Raphael notices that you're gone." Dominik said as he stopped in front of a high end restaurant.

"How did you manage to convince Pierre to let Raphael watch over me and how did you convince Jay to meet at a fancy place like this?" I asked in confusion

He smirked. "I have a way with people."

I exited the car and nervously walked into the restaurant, I looked around for Jay however I couldn't find him.

"Excuse me ma'am do you have a reservation?" The kind hostess asked.

"Uhm... Le Marc." I replied.

She quickly scanned the reservations before attending to me again. "Mr Le Marc has already arrived. Right this way ma'am."

I took a deep breath and followed her. I was still skeptical of being there at a time when it wouldn't be fair to Marco that he would never get to know his daughter, let alone talk to her.

"Jay!" I shouted as soon as I saw him and he embraced me in a tight hug.

"I'm glad you're still safe." He murmured into my ear.
