Josephine's P.O.V

My one-week suspension was finally over. I spent the entire time making sure I was up to date on my homework and trying to get rid of everything that reminded me of Justin.

I didn't end up getting rid of anything. All I did was stare at it. I even slept in his gray hoodie.

The night I got abducted I had no recollection of how I got back home but I definitely remembered what had happened that night.

My brain was still searching for answers and explanations for what was really going on. But I couldn't think of anything. My hands were shaking. I had a bad feeling about this. Hopefully, they wouldn't contact me again.

I got ready and tried to figure out what to do with my hair. It was never a problem until today. But I decided to just put my dark frizzy and poofy ball that was my hair into a ponytail and put gel on the edges.

I ran downstairs and was greeted by my parents. I had been avoiding them all week. Especially my dad. My dad looked up from his phone. "Good morning."

"Good morning," I mumbled. Then I grabbed an apple and left.

"Wait. Honey. Don't you want me to drive you to school?"

"It's ok. Maddie is driving me."

"Bye! Have a nice day at school!"

"Yeah. Whatever." I didn't understand why they were still living together. They didn't have to for me. The damage was already done.

"I didn't realize how much I hated school until you weren't there." Maddie applied to her lip gloss as she spoke. Then started the car.

"Did you really miss me that much?" I batted my eyes.

"Missed you? There are forty pictures of you in my locker just so I wouldn't forget your face."

I playfully shoved her shoulder. "But really Josie. Thanks for what you did."

"Someone had to."

We pulled into school. Maddie and I hopped out of the car. "Now let's go over the rules."

Maddie rolled her eyes and I laughed. "One, no talking about Justin or Tristan. Two, no looking at Justin or Tristan and Three, don't break rules one and two unless you want to see two girls with bloody fists, and two boys crying." We both said in unison.

We looked at each other and started laughing. Maddie's shoulders shook so hard that she fell to the floor. I helped her up and we hugged. "I missed you. But really Josie no fighting please."

Now it was my turn to roll my eyes.

"Please."

"I promise I won't fight anymore."

"Ok ready?" I took a deep breath and hooked my arms into hers.

I nodded. "Yeah."

We went into school and instantly there were people staring at us. More specifically staring at me. Suddenly all the waves of happiness and energy I had earlier slowly disappeared.

Maddie gently squeezes my shoulder. "Come on."

The one minute bell rang and I blinked. Where has the time gone? I was already going to be late for class on my first day back. I spun on my heel headed for my classroom when I ran straight into two people.

I picked up my book and dusted my skirt. "I am so sorry...." I was face to face with shiny pearly whites and gorgeous blue eyes. But those weren't just any eyes. They were Justin's.

"Oh! Justin! Hi!" "Hi, Josie Posie." I blushed at the use of my nickname. But then I noticed the blonde-haired skinny-legged girl next to him.

Holding. His. Hand.

He noticed I was looking and smiled sheepishly. "You know how Tristan is."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Actually I don't."

"I'll see you around?"

"Maybe." I quickly walked away before they had the chance to see the tears that were already streaming down my face. How could he move on so fast?

It seemed like Justin was just a well-groomed puppet and Tristan was the puppet master pulling the strings. I thought that Justin was past it. But I guess not.

I took my seat in the middle of the class but not before I gave in all my classwork to my teacher. I wiped the tears on my face. Class finally started and I shut my eyes. I was actually peaceful for once when Lily, another friend of mine tapped my shoulder.

My eyes snapped open. "Yeah?"

"I just think that it's totally unfair that you got suspended while Tristan only got three hours of detention." She whispered.

"Tristan didn't get suspended?"

She shook her head. I snapped my pencil. I scoffed. Of course, he didn't get suspended. He was captain of the football team and the soccer team. Not to mention that his family donated tons of money to the school. He was untouchable.

But I had thought for this specific reason he finally got what he deserved. But once again I was wrong. It was like nothing I did matters.

"Josephine?" I pulled my head up. My teacher gave me a slip. I was leaving. That was odd. My parents didn't tell me anything. It must be an emergency if they pulled me out of class. I got out of the classroom and was face to face with a dark-haired boy that had green eyes.

"Who are you." He grabbed my arm. "Come on. You're going to be late." "The clothes are in the van. But of course, you already know that."

"What?" "When we get there just follow all the procedures they told you and you should be fine."

We walked into a van and there was a pile of clothes waiting for me. A black shirt and leggings with a pair of black Nikes. I was really confused but I put them on.

"Ok, we're here." I looked over at the boy with green eyes and he nodded to me as if it was a cue to go. So I got out of the van and was in front of a tall abandoned building. The same building where I was "recruited" for The Indomitable. I turned around but then a pair of sweaty hands grabbed me and pulled me inside.

"What is with everyone here and grabbing people!" I pushed the person off of me.

It was Carter. He raised his hands up in the air. "Sorry!"

"Oh, it's you."

"Hi."

Suddenly my face grew warm. My tongue struggled to form words. I found myself looking at my feet before I finally spoke. "Hi."

"You must be wondering why we pulled you out of class."

"Yeah. Why?"

He grinned. Suddenly my knees were weak. What was going on with me?

"Well Josephine Jones, if you're going to be apart of the revolution. You're going to need to train first."

"Training? What kind of training?"

Do you guys think that Justin is a jerk for what he did to Josephine or that you totally understand the situation that he is in?

Let me know in the comments down below.
