CHAPTER 2: I Love What I Am

I shredded those pathetic Omega's from Alpha Rhydon's pack. Just the yelling and screaming alone, was like music to my ears.

Paine has trained me very well. He's the one that saved me from an accident a couple months ago and has helped train me to regain my strength and powers again.

Then last night, after we had been planning to attack Rhydon's pack for a few week's now, I did just that last night. Paine had sent me to attack the Omega's who guarded the east side of that pack's territory.

My parents died when I was really little and so Paine has recently been like a father figure to me. He was kind enough to heal me and explain to me what it is exactly that I am and will soon become.

I attack and fast and keep myself as a blur so nobody gets the chance to get a good look at me entirely. Paine has told me I have to be careful not to let anyone find out what I am. At least not yet.

There aren't many like me and Paine and even though he has a pack himself and has yet to show me his wolf, even though his pack are just regular werewolves, he swears that one day, they will be just like us and there will be more.

I was on my way back to the house to see him and let him know that I took care of what he asked me to do and when I walked inside, I said 'hi' to everyone I walked passed and then knocked when I got to the door of his office. After telling me to come in, I walked inside and closed the door behind me and then walked towards the desk where he was sitting behind and signing a few things it looked like.

"Good morning Alpha Paine." I greeted him with a bow.

"Morning Gem." He replied.

After getting done finishing signing the last of the papers, he removed his glasses and placed them onto the desk and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"I don't mean to bother you. I just wanted to come and let you know that I took care of the Omega's on the east side." I tell him.

"Good girl." He smiles. "And nobody saw you, right?" He asks with a cocked eyebrow.

"No Sir. There was one that got away but, all he got to see of me was a blur I'm sure. In fact he probably ran back crying to his Alpha like a scared little kid." I started to chuckle a little to myself.

I next hear him breathe out a sigh of some frustration.

"You need to be more careful." He tells me.

"I know I do. Don't worry, nobody saw me or got a clear view of me. Besides, isn't it a good thing that he ran back telling his Alpha what he witnessed?" I asked confused if rather or not he was upset or happy with me.

"Of course I am." He says and stands up before walking towards me. "I just want to make sure also that you are safe and not found because it would ruin everything." He tells me.

He looked and sounded a little disappointed in me.

"I understand. I promise I'll be more careful." I assure him with a smile.

"Good." He smirks. "Now with all that said, tonight, after dinner, I will be leaving for a month or so."

"Where are you going?" I asked worried.

"We need more recruits and I have been informed by some friends of mine of many that are interested in joining our little family here. But don't worry, I'll be in contact still." He assures me.

It made me feel a bit more relieved to hear him say that.

"Okay." I smile.

"Also, don't worry, Graham's gonna be here to help you with the pack and anything else." He tells me.

"You mean like babysit?" I asked.

"No. But you both need to learn how to get along. Not to mention that he is after all he is the Delta and my Beta has to come with me." He reminds me.

"I know." I breathe out. "Don't I'll try and be on my best behavior." I promise him.

"Good." He smiles. "Well I need to get a few things ready before I leave tonight so, I will see you at dinner."

"Yeah. See ya then." I reply.

I next start to leave his office and head upstairs into my room upset that Graham is gonna be staying behind instead of going with him. Which I guess makes sense but still, I hate Graham.

He is an arrogant, cocky asshole who swears that he will make me his. But that won't ever happen. All the girls want him except for me. There are so many reasons in why it would never work out between us and why I will never be interested in him. One of the biggest reasons, however, is that I have an advantage over everybody that Paine refuses to tell anyone. I'm both a witch and a werewolf.

I'm gonna have to figure out in how to avoid Graham as much as I can while Paine is gone. I can already tell though that it won't be easy.

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't post yesterday but was really tired from working all day and was the same way today as I had woken up early and had long shifts. My job is mentally exhausting. Lol. But, I have the next few days off so, great news for everybody as I plan to post a couple of chapters for this one and the Billionaire's one later today (since it's midnight and already Thursday where I'm at) and for the next couple of days, just wait to see what all goes down in both stories. ;)

Now to explain a little bit about this chapter as some if not most of you are probably confused. First of all, again, if you didn't read the first book 'The Alpha's Huntress' then you need to read that one before this one. Also, if it's been a while since you have read it and kind of forgot, remember that Paine, was the '3rd Person POV' in the last chapter of the first book. He has injected Gemma with serum that erased her memory of her wolf, Rhydon and the everyone else along with the big fight. So she only has memories of her life before Rhydon and for the past couple of months that she has lived with Paine and believes whatever he has made her believe.

So for a while in this story, (just a little bit) you might hate Gemma and question the 'new' her, but bare with me, you never know of she might go back to remembering or just becoming EXACTLY what Paine wants her to be. This could end not the way you think. ;) But I will never spoil the surprise and you'll have to continue reading to find out up til the end. It will be interesting and weird as well as crazy most of the time, but I know you'll all like it if not love it a lot. It's gonna be a very bumpy ride but have fun and enjoy the ride. ;)

Also, one more thing, we will get a POV from Paine and also, we will get more details and information in how she got from being cured by her when taken from Rhydon after the fight to save her life and into Paine's arms. Love you all and it's gonna get better. :);)
