RHYDON
She'd better not do that! I can't even believe she'd even ever think up of a stupid way to get the information from Graham.
"Do you really not trust our mate?!" My wolf begins to ask me after stopping in the middle of the woods to lay down and catch our breaths while we rest for a bit.
"Of course I do! I just don't trust HIM." I reply.
"Well if that were true, then why'd you practically call her a slut and accuse her of having any feelings for him?!" He asks.
"Because I was mad alright!" I snap at him.
"So that makes it okay?!" He fires back at me.
"Of course not! But I really just need some time to think right now. So stop talking to me for now." I tell him right before I shut down the mind link.
I need to be alone for the next couple of days with my thoughts because there's too much I need to think about. Mostly about myself and how I'm gonna apologize, for one thing but also there are a few other things as well I need to take care of.
One of the most important things, aside from Gemma, that I need to evaluate right now which is Paine and how to handle all of the bullshit that's going on with the councils not trusting us to help them taking him down when we all know they will.
I start to get up and begin making my towards a shack in the woods that I like going to sometimes and I re-open the mind link for not too long but just enough time to let Corwin know I won't be back for a couple of days and to reach me ONLY if an emergency, before I turn it back off.
When I finally arrive at the shack, it still looks as it always did. Unkempt and blends with the trees and is in a way somewhat camouflauge. Though it's still holding up strong for being years old and not being cleaned all the time or used very much for that matter.
Right as I head inside after shifting into my human form, I head back to the bedroom and put some clothes on before heading out towards the kitchen.
This is gonna be nice. This will help me relax and get a clear head to help me think about things.

Two Days Later...
For the last two days, my wolf and I had struggled with the fact that we weren't with our mate and that after doing some reflecting on myself, I came to the conclusion that of course everybody was right, in the fact that I shouldn't have said what I did to Gemma and that I want her to know I do trust her as well as that she can do her idea to get what she needs from Graham, but that I want to be there when she does do it. I want to see his face.
As I finally made it home, a little before noon, I shifted back into my human form again, put on some clothes that were by one of the trees and headed inside the house.
I couldn't wait to see Gemma. However, I couldn't smell her scent.
"There you are!" Corwin says sounding and looking relieved.
"Yeab. Where's Gemma?" I asked him.
"She isn't here." Lorraine chimes in as she walks up and stands beside Corwin while glaring at me a bit.
"Where is she? I have to tell her something." I mention.
"Well you're too late cause she left later that night after you left." She says as she crosses her arms over her chest.
"What? To where? And why didn't anyone tell me?" I asked while glaring over at Corwin.
"You said only mind link if an emergency and I didn't know if you wanted to really know at the time. Besides, she made us promise not to tell you." He says.
"Un-fucking-believable!" I tell them both.
"Hey, you're the one show up and left without talking to us until later that day." Loraine says and she has a point.
I hold the bridge of my nose and take in a couple of deep breaths then let them out before replying.
"Fine. But what happened with Graham then?" I asked.
"She took care of him. Then we helped burn the body." She states.
"So then if she has the information, where did she go to?" I asked confused.
"She went to the councils and as of yesterday, they all agreed to have her help them as well as our council. In fact, she even invited us to come and train with her people for the next week before we fight." Lorraine says.
"Wait, what? We're gonna fight? Who?" I asked.
"Who do you think?" Corwin chimes in.
"Paine? Seriously?" I ask in disbelief.
"Yes. Apparently he contacted the councilmen, the same day you left and warned them about a fight. Then after Gemma approached them with the information, they had her stay to become their lead huntress for her people again and to start training. Which started yesterday. So we were all gonna head on out to meet up with them." Corwin tells me.
"Then let's go then." I nod my head. "Let me go pack real quick though."
"Alright. We'll be out in the car and also, don't forget a sleeping bag." He reminds me.
"Okay." I reply then start making my way up towards my room to hurry and pack, before we all head over in our cars.
Come to think of it also, I haven't seen her in her lead huntress mode for a long time. (Really, not since the first day we met)......This will be interesting!
Next chapter will be posted soon! :)
